Crazy reacted to angieram in Wayne Rooney
I've always thought this.
I don't read gossip and was amazed by some people's negative reactions to Rooney when we first signed him.
Pleased to see someone calling it out for what it is.

What a terrible idea. While there is any chance of us avoiding relegation, forcing games to be abandoned (and potentially forfeited) along with additional fines to the club is absolutely absurd.

Agreed. What happened to we’ll fight ‘til the end?
The players and management team have given it their all this season, to deny them of the opportunity to see out the season would be a real kick in their balls.
I hope anyone that is seriously planning to do this stops to think who it will be hurting, and where the money to pay the fines will come from. It won’t hurt the EFL or Quantuma, only the team.
The international break combined with more deadlines been and gone has created even more frustration, I get it, I feel it, but getting behind the team now should be our focus as that’s the only I thing we have any control over.

I understand that, but (1) it doesn't make me like him, and (2) I honestly think he's making a strategic error. If he'd stumped up more money in the autumn he'd probably have a Championship club capable of retaining its assets starting on zero points next season. Now, he's probably got a League 1 club that's about to lose the vast majority of its assets and start on -15 points. It's a ducking shambles.

You do have to wonder if that was Quantuma "doing a Coleen" and giving different fake stories to different people to see who was leaking...

I see how much rubbish is spouted by our own fans in this forum. Why would fans of another club be any more knowledgeable?

Curtis epitomises everything we have stood for this season. Great player, even better human.

Isn't this exactly what Curtis has done for us during the past year? Came off the bench on the last day of the season, when still injured (risking any future career for the sake of the club), then signed a new contract on reduced wages ("through gritted teeth" I think he said) so that he'd be available for the first match of this season.

Buzzing for this one aren't we? Barnsley are definitely going to lose against Sheff Utd today so a win puts us 1 point off them. (Reading won't pick up another point all season anyway).
The escape has never been more on!
And it's sunny.

It kind of both is and isn't. It's based on something called regression to the mean. Managers are often sacked when teams have had a run of underperforming. So it is likely that their form will shortly return to their true ability.
Therefore the new manager will likely get better results than the previous manager did in their last few games. However, it is also true that if the manager hadn't been sacked, they also would have likely got improved results.
So yes, there is such a thing as new manager bounce, but no, it isn't necessarily anything to do with the change in manager.

I'm pretty sure or stadium was valued at £80m a few years ago, and that, despite EFL's attempts, was deemed to be an accurate valuation. If Morris is asking for £20m now, then he only asking for 25p in the £, not "full whack".
