Massive, massive win. I really enjoyed that, didn’t feel too tense as we were clearly much better than Orient.
Ebou, Smith, Wilson all had great games and well done Sonny. He owed us that for the brainless red card.

It’s Daniel’s birthday tomorrow. I will be buying a cake later. Dan loved cake. Even though he isn’t here, there should always be cake on birthdays. I wanted to do something to mark Dan’s birthday and wondered if we could give the RSPCA a birthday boost? I wouldn’t expect people to give much as so much money was raised already.  Just £1 from a handful of us would help towards costs. What do you think?

I didn’t realise how bad CBT’s miss was as we were up the other end. Just seen the “highlights” and that was shocking.

Poor game but I don't think this is the disaster people are making it out to be.
Personally I was always slightly worried about this fixture and on my predictor I had us drawing this game and we still go on to make automatic promotion.
If we win the last 3 games Bolton will have to win all their 4 to go above us including beating portsmouth and peterborough.
It's not in our hands right now but it could all turn again after saturday. We just need to be in pole position come the last game of the season.
I still back us to do this.

Personally, I'd try and park somewhere else. Parking at the ground, you are held for (at least 25 minutes) for the fans to leave and the road to be clear of fans walking home / to their cars. That being said, I'd look at the roads in the area to park on and walk, parking at the industrial areas can also be chaos and then you are trying to drive through a road with all the fans walking down.
I'm not going to lie, we have one of the worst placed grounds in the country. While the scenery looks lovely in the spring & summer, it does seem to take an age to move anywhere.

I've read through your comments, some of your points are valid and I can understand where you've come from and some are a little outdated.
In the past and under Gareth Ainsworth, we were the masters of the dark arts and I'll be the first to admit that the football was sometimes very horrible to watch but he did guide us to our most successful period which causes a lot of our fans to ignore our style of play. However, this season has been a change under Matt Bloomfield. He has been willing to move away from the slow game and look to try and get some more "flow" into our game. Hopefully those at the game and watching at home might see a bit of difference. This change has been more noticeable since Jan Transfer Window when we brought in new players. I think it's safe to say that Stevenage and Northampton have looked at the dark-arts this season and have mild moments of success with it.
With regards to our game at Wembley on Sunday, one big thing that changed our style of play was the pitch size. We have a habit of sitting back and hitting teams on the counter on the bigger / wider pitches. However, when we play at home, our pitch is on the smaller side of the measurements which allows us to play with a little bit more pace and our game plan changes. Yes, Peterborough had an awful lot of the ball at Wembley but for a long periods of time, all they did was move it from side to side looking for a gap. As someone mentioned, they had 70% possession, managed only 1 more shot on target that Wycombe and only won it with a wind-assisted cross.
It looks like tonight will be a really interesting fixture. We have 4 "fresh" players coming into the side as they were cup-tied from Sunday's game and several of the players are looking to improve on their performance from Sunday (Please note that I haven't mentioned that I thought we played well on Sunday - we didn't!). You guys looking threating and I've watched several of your highlights and think that you'll ask several questions of our defence. You will be fresher than us after having a nice 9 day break without a game so that does make us nervous too. It will all be decided on the pitch in the 90 minutes.
    Good luck!

Hi All, I hope you are all good? Come in peace, I just wanted to let those who are driving down know about things to think about before getting to the ground.
At the moment, there are 2 different sets of roadworks that have temp traffic lights. One is on a busy bit of the A40 and the other is on Lane End Road (the road that links to the stadium's road). I hope that makes sense? If the M40 is trouble-free, I'd go down to Junction 4, that way you'll miss the first set of roadworks. However, the M40 has been an accident hotspot of late so judge when you get closer to the area.
Hope everyone has a safe journey down

Off to Wycombe shortly , feeling confident we will be coming back with the points , the last two performances against Blackpool and Portsmouth have shown me that the lads have a steely determination to get the job done, tonight won’t be pretty but it’s all about the result
Safe trip down to all fellow Rams fans and let’s roar the lads on to a vital win  COYR

My priority today is utterly aimed in Muckerette's direction, as we wave our last goodbyes to her dad this avvy, amidst the gloriously coloured scent of Spring (His favourite season! 😊), but rest assured, given the circumstances, I will have half an eye on matchday proceedings this evening.
Safe trip to all, and here's to an absolutely massive 3 points for the Mighty Rams.
May the Thunderbird gifs be a-plenty.

And so matchday is upon us and despite believing we'll win this game, nagging doubts persist. Hard to know which Wycombe we'll face; will they be at their dogged and determined best, or will they be suffering from a Wembley hangover? Equally, the Rams haven't seemed to prosper coming off a break in recent seasons, or perhaps I'm just imagining that. I do think if we are switched on tonight and with the stakes so high you'd hope we would be, then we ought to have too much for them.
So how do we see the game playing out? I don't see Wycombe flying out of the gates and off the back of a quick turnaround, there might be some heavy legs out there tonight. Their fans will certainly be up for it and I'd expect a decent showing from them even after their Wembley heartbreak and despite it being a mid-week game. They still see Derby as the devil incarnate and have somehow painted their owner's actions as charitable - yes really! - and inevitably, the recent history will almost certainly ensure a feisty game.
No doubt we'll hear more as the day progresses, but it seems likely Ward will be given more time having picked up a knock, but as @sage has pointed out, we might have Max and Barks back in the fold tonight which would give us plenty of options off the bench. With Joe's niggle likely to keep him out, I'd expect us to line up with CBT and Nate on the flanks and I'd hope that the latter will show up well for a return to his favoured slot. For me, the back 4 pick themselves at the moment, with Nyambe out for the season and Bradley still serving a ban and I'd be worried were we not to start Ebou and Korey in CM. Upfront I'd like to see Washington playing off Collo, given our fairly limited options right now. I think he has a slight pace edge over Waggy, who to my eye, still looks a way off the form we saw from him early season.
I did warn folk about the likely weather for Pompey in the last match thread, but fortunately tonight looks like being a positively balmy 12C and dry, so for the travelling Rams faithful, a rather more pleasant night, results and performance notwithstanding.
For my finger in the air guess, I'm going with a 2-0 win for the Rams, with Nate and Collo on the scoresheet.
    Safe journey to all.

Kinder reacted to Pompeyoldgit in Where do you think we'll finish this season?
Pompey fan in peace, I personally think you boys will win all your remaining games from what I saw the other night you have enough to do it and you won’t need to sit back like you did in the second half. I personally like Paul Warne he comes across as an honest guy not like that arrogant Ian Evatt really praying that they stay down. Wycombe losing today was your best result but they are no great shakes. I was worried when we went there on Good Friday as they were on a bit of a run but we won comfortably. Teams that  play on the front foot against us we usually beat as we did against Peterborough the previous week who also were on a run of 5 straight wins. Teams that park the bus we struggle to break down like Shrewsbury yesterday we huffed and puffed all game and were fortunate to come away with 3 points. Most of us still are not taking it as given that we are going up, lose to Bolton then we have Barnsley on the Tuesday lose that and it will be twitchy bum time definitely do not want to go to Lincoln on the last day needing 3 points. Anything can happen this Saturday against Bolton but we won comfortably at Fratton 3-1 so it would be good to win that will give us 2 home games to seal the Championship. Anyway good luck Derby are to big a club like us to be stuck in Div 1.
