Weren't they all recruited for their characters? Seem to recall that was being touted as the most important criterion over the summer when PW was beating away droves of naughty but excellent players with a s****y stick......

Forget the purse strings this squad should be going better than they are. How a midfield containing the likes of Bird, Hourinane and Smith are not dominating games is beyond belief

The idea of managerial stability is based on when managers did everything - the scouting, youth team, transfers, overall style of play…
it’s more a of ‘head coach’ role now, with a director of football keeping a consistent overall philosophy.
warne is a PE teacher who is out of his depth. He’s also been given too much power by an inexperienced chairman who let him change the whole style of team without any money to do so - Rosenoir had a passing team and that had been the style of the managers before him. 
If we wanted to change everything then Clowes should have paid for it, or got a coach in who could work with what we had 

I would be delighted to be Pro Warne. But since we beat Morecambe 5-0 at the start of February we have lost 11 out of 30. And thats with a full pre season and transfer summer sandwiched in between!! I dont see any improvements...I dont see any shape or pattern of play. Its the most bored ive been watching Derby. Take away Peterborough and Blackpool away and its been absolutely dreadful. Beating Exeter wont do anything for me because i know theres a lacklustre performance just round the corner.

I'm exhausted.
There seem many fewer defenders of Warne now. More than a quarter of the way through the season and we're 10 points about the relegation zone but 13 off top spot. I should try to check, but I haven't the energy, but someone posted we've won 2 home games since the start of March. In the third division. To get into the automatic promotion places we will need to win something like 10 games in a row. We sit 11th in the table, 2 places below Burton Albion. And playing dreadful, clueless football with no evidence we might turn the corner.
The way to make a small fortune is to start with a large fortune and buy a football club. There's not really any way round that. The justification being offered for keeping Warne is that Clowes can't afford to sack him. But it's crystal clear to most of the fanbase that he can't afford not to. I'm sorry (as we all are) that it's come to this. I hope the manager is honest with himself and walks, but that rarely happens in life. And, like I said, I'm exhausted.

We definitely have one of the best squads in the league. It's as good as what Sheffield Wednesday had last season if not better. There are no excuses I'm afraid. We are just not playing well enough.
