Someone like sheikh mansour. Billionaire invested loads early on for success but wouldn't be surprised if city were self sustainable now
Appoints the best for footballing matters taking people from the barcelona board. Appoints a manager with attractive style of football. Invested heavy in the academy, invested loads in the local area.

And other times I’m saying first time and he takes an unnecessary touch or cut back when an early ball in the middle is what is needed.

I keep visiting this thread in the hope of a bit more info but all I find is a group of wusses overreacting to everything that’s been said (or worse, not said but inferred from someone else’s comments).
The majority of folk on this board need to grow a pair (not you @angieram) and stop wetting yourselves at every opportunity. We are where we are - no amount of crying will change that.

We’re all Derby fans - we never have an easy time - it’s in our DNA. Sit back and enjoy the ride - the alternative would almost certainly be administration (or worse)....

Don't care anymore it is what it is.
Go down, stay up, invest money, not invest... not bothered anymore its been rubbish for a while now & morris' time in charge has been a shambles.
To go from one shambles to potentially anothe isnt a big deal. ive lost interest to be too bothered by it anymore if i let it bother me id just continually be annoyed

Surely I can't be the only one who couldnt care less about Alonso's political views? Everyone has and is entitled to their opinion whether we agree with it or not.
Unless he starts to implement any of these supposed views onto Derby County such as not employing gay people or allowing them into ground then what does it matter?

Think it’s pretty harsh to criticise Mel as a person, it’s quite clear that he just wants the best for the club, same as the rest of us.
It isn’t, however, very difficult to criticise him as a chairman. He’s given a total disaster-class in how to run a football club - he took over a team on the brink of the Premier League, and he’ll leave them in League One, despite investing millions. Think that speaks volumes about how his time at the club has gone.
Recruitment has been the biggest problem, it’s been atrocious throughout his time in charge yet he seems to have done little to fix it. Pretty much all of our current issues stem from that - it’s left us in a right financial mess. The constant changing of managers with completely different styles hasn’t helped either - it’s been impossible to build any sort of long term philosophy. The closest we’ve come to one is the utterly absurd 50% of the first team from the academy target, which seemed like a desperate last throw of the dice when we ran into FFP troubles. It was never realistic that that many players would make first team standard, and the whole idea of playing academy players for the sake of it just isn’t right. They should break through when they’re good enough and deserve it, not just to fill some stupid quota. Really annoyed me that did, we ended up so short on depth in the first team that we were relying on young players stepping up. You should never be in that situation, it’s too much pressure on those players - they should break through only when they’re ready.
So yeah, I wish you all the best Mel, but it’s definitely time to bring someone in who knows how to run a football club, and has the funds to sort our mess out. Who such a person is I have no idea.

All these comments it isn't what fergie would have done. Fergie publicly fell out with loads of players and got rid of them no matter how big they thought they were.
Ince he called a big time charlie and got rid of. Van Nistlerooy he fell out with and moved on, beckham he accepted a bid for before beckham himself knew he was for sale, jaap stam, even keane at the end he stripped of the captaincy and moved on.
Called out a load of kids when they got beat by york city in the cup. He Said ferdinand and evra should have more common sense after they were beat by city.
He had high standards and you had to maintain them to be in the squad and at the club. If the standard or attitude dropped you were out no matter who you were.
Im glad rooney is demanding high standards. Were not achieving anywhere near acceptable levels and i have no issues with Rooney calling out or moving on anyone at the club

Im glad he's been called out. About time someone has the balls to single out players. His performances like many others this season have been terrible.
We have a group of players that look like they care (but might not be good enough) and some that look like they aren't bothered.
Not every manager we've had in the psst 5 years is a bad manager. The players have to take responsibility. You're in a relegation battle. Get your head down, work hard and get out of it. Its not a time to be messing about.

    1. Nathan Byrne, Roberts if given more time and lawrence on his day which is 1 in 10, clarke, bielik but unfortunately injured. Dont really trust anyone to get us out of it.
    2. Knight, CKR, Shinnie, Lee Buchanan
    3. Jozwiak good player in bad form there is a player on there, sibley hit and miss form.
    4. Include CKR in here as well. I like him a lot but if he's our first choice going into next season we are in trouble.
Wisdom, out of position all the time would be a good championship 3rd choice cb he's no barker or keogh
Bird not good enough for me over rated because he's one of our own
    5. With the exception of lee gregory, mengi and edmunson that fall into none of the above and the likes of watson who are young and chucked in at the deep end the rest want putting in number 5.
