  1. I’d have three playing in midfield but we have so many wide players we can’t fit them in so something has to give way and Warne has chosen central midfield as the place where we short of bodies on the pitch much to the criticism of Bird and Hourahan unfairly
  2. All down to actual point deductions this season but Luton are mucking it all up for the premier league by trying to stop up
  3. So then if we can sneak a goal lead thanks to NML we can now put on a defensive midfielder in front of a back five for the last twenty minutes whilst still leaving an unmarked forward to head at our goal.
  4. Never heard of him never seen him play and another massive gamble on another teams mainly injured player I hope he does fantastic for us and at 28 he needs to with a career of doing ok at FGR let’s see who leaves tomorrow - Smith? Fornah ? Bird ?
  5. Ince was a good signing at the time to help ward and Russell but we ruined it by signing lingard who helped turn us from a side that won 2-0 or 3-1 to a side that drew 3-3 and 4-4 every week and plummeted we did
  6. Elder is fine but he is no wing back just a basic left back for a 442 whilst ward is third choice right back / wingback and fourth choice right midfield Money wasted has been Fornah as we have to pay a transfer fee if we get promoted and he is on a permanent contract and is hardly trusted to get more than a few minutes every month. Bradley has been a very expensive disappointment but occasionally gets on the pitch to ensure we let a last minute goal in on a frequent basis.
  7. For me I think Fornah is very limited and I have no idea what Warne saw in him to give him a permanent contract - when he came on as a late substitute in the Wigan away game he appeared to have a very can’t be bothered attitude and completely didn’t mark his man or challenge for the ball at all leaving Forsyth being overloaded and giving Wigan easy opportunities to put the ball in the box which could have cost us the win. Three days later we played at OXFORD and Fornah was put through a long period running and chasing individually by a coach two hours before kick off which was very strange and no fitness test which resulted in him not being selected even for the bench that day. I think he has annoyed Warne to the point of wanting rid of him - just an opinion but maybe he is not a warne Good egg
  8. Warne’s signings in the summer were 70% flops- Wilson has done ok going forward ( naff defensively) Nelson solid and the rest are slow and injured and incapable of being better than what we had whilst Nyambe and Waghorn were fluke signings who do contribute when available
  9. Wouldn’t do buisness with Wycombe even if it suited us
  10. I haven’t noticed that Warne likes playing them either
  11. I am not confident that anybody Warne brings in will be an improvement on what we currently have based on all his signings so far and there have been a lot
  12. I just watched the highlights- who was supposed to be marking the player on the back post in the last moments of the game who somehow didn’t score as it looks like dreadful defending
  13. Yes I was there also - great times travelling around
  14. Was much better when we played with a more rounded centre forward who could lay the ball off and look for the runners without having to stop still and control the football
  15. We weren’t in the third division since Arthur Cox built a very good side
  16. Our central midfielders don’t look good because they are outnumbered and not allowed to do anything other than get it wide early
  17. That’s the big problem for him though isn’t it - if we put three in there which is needed in this league (most leagues) then you can’t have all these wide players and false wing backs we have collected
  18. That’s a true view, if we have fast wide players why not leave them on either flank when the opponent has a corner?
  19. We need to fluke promotion and thank him and leave him back in Rotherham - that’s the only future I can see as hopeful
  20. Regardless of results I hate the way Warne plays his football and makes my team look so poor when we really should be a very decent side. He will moan about not getting the players he wanted no doubt again - I have a season ticket yet again but I have missed 8 home games this season due to various reasons but it doesn’t bother me at all - sad
  21. Yet another total non performance at home again I see?
  22. Unfortunately that day Northampton decided not to try to mark any of our players particularly Washington which made it a lot easier.
  23. Absolutely correct - he caused the problems but could have made them a lot worse if he wanted to, horrible times in so many ways
