Just recalled that their appeal hearing decision will be announced this week. Is the timing of their offensive a thinly veiled attempt to bring pressure to bear on the PL?

I'm not sure who is advising them, but given they got a reduction for 'showing good faith' with the original IDC, the intelligence behind said strategy is hard to fathom. I'm actually quite hopeful that they'll received a further sanction for their 'troubles'. We learned under Morris that going on the offensive is not always the best policy when dealing with these governing bodies and my hunch is that Forest are about to find that out for themselves.

Coincidence isn’t it - hopefully they have those two points for good behaviour taken away and reinstated as another minus 2

  2. All about the result so well done on getting it even if some of them didn’t look like they had any composure at all

ours to balls it up now which we shouldn’t

our football still looks dreadful in this dreadful league - can’t wait for the conversation on how we improve if and when we achieve promotion

NML hasn't scored since Exeter away, 12 games, or assisted since Bristol Rovers away, 6 games.

Looks like he's ran out of steam, the same as last season, but with CBT not getting going there's little alternative tbh. Clearly CBT is a confidence player, and following that miss he was a waste of a shirt, along with Washington and Collins, which surprised me re Collins, very quiet, but have no time for Washington,  he's been poor all season.

Yet what has happened to him? Someone moved him basically from his best position and decided to make him captain to give him something else to think about - NML is one of those who you leave in his best position and just concentrate on playing

The other thing with Sibley is he's not a LB. But what happened to the LB Warne put all his hopes and dreams into? I'm not talking about Fozzy here either we shouldn't be relying on Fozzy at his age in this system at LB. Callum bloody Elder was another bad signing in my book along with Wash and Bradley etc

Since Sibley has been helping the team when at LB or LWB we haven’t really been losing games or letting many goals in - well that’s what it feels like to me.

we just signed loads of players with a hefty list of injuries

  5. Point gained against a side that you will never get a decent game of football against - that said Warne’s sides rarely play a decent game of football either.

No shots on target suggest we could do with having a better way of playing despite the limitations of some of our players.

Whats our leader going to serve up at home on Saturday 5 at the back ? As we haven’t exactly done much with the football at home all season.

  6. I would have taken the point before the game but having lead twice we probably should have taken all 3 points - Portsmouth really are not very good and neither are we but obviously we are both a fair bit better than many other sides in the league overall

Let’s get automatic promotion and have a big rethink on how we are going to play next season and who we can recruit to improve us.

It’s entirely alien to me to effectively watch a team come to Pride Park and allow them to dominate play and possession to the point where to me it’s “anti-football”. Goes against every sinew of my football-loving being. Ok we got the 3 points and we looked reasonably comfortable but for me it’s high risk and not how I would ever set up a team to play. It’s not the spirit of the beautiful game.

Absolutely how I feel in most home games - successful maybe - enjoyable as a football spectacle, no chance

  8. Ipswich are confident with a goal scoring midfielder like Bryson was for us and loaning in Moore has given them a different option to attack with whilst Plymouth lost their manager which hurts them and without Whittaker they would be gone by now. Sheffield Wednesday started dreadfully but eventually found a manager who has organised them and given them a fighting chance to survive

Ipswich have been brilliant this season after promotion from this league and yes have had time to build a better team and squad I think the worry is with some fans including myself is, even if PW did have the time I don't think his style/methods would be successful in the championship

This sounds harsh but football can be , If PW got us promoted I would say thankyou for your efforts and come to an agreement to let him go as I think we need someone different in a higher league

It would be a mistake IMO if we let PW spend our tight budget in the championship on players who may well not suit a different manager and i don't see why we couldn't be a good side challenging for play offs if we were to use our academy and bring in some good young players with a couple of loanees and few old heads

Robins and Mckenna are good young forward thinking examples of good managers  who have come from lower down the leagues and I still think we'd be an attractive option for a good young coach/manager

Yep somehow get promotion this season and Warne goes back to Rotherham - Get no promotion and Warne goes back to Rotherham. Alternatively attendances will be missing 3-4000 each home game with Warne’s continued style of football

I was thinking more of the statistic that shows that no-one has scored more goals in the last 15 minutes+ of games and no-one has a larger +ve goal difference in the last 15+ minutes of a game either.

But maybe you've usually left by then....

My three mates left with 5 minutes of added on time remaining on Saturday as they were going to Wembley to watch England vs Brazil and they all said more football was played the the first 2 minutes at Wembley than the 100 minutes they watched at Northampton

I don't understand why he didn't throw one of the centre-backs up front. But there's lots about Warne's football that seems inexplicable. The only good to come out of today is Bradley getting sent off.

Nearly agreed with you there, Bradley getting sent off is not helpful because we might have a situation where we need a centre half no matter how we judge him - I really hope Forsyth can be fit

Ah I see. Just Warne's fault again?

He does set the team out and give them instructions - we did have a lot of reserves playing but so did Northampton

Why do we always need to change shape because it isn’t working no matter who is selected - the Northampton players wanted to win more with in my opinion poorer players available

  13. Typical Derby, our reserves today weren’t good enough against another poor side

Yes I still hate this league

    Bradley is Brainless

hopefully somehow we can nip in enough wins because I do not fancy us in the play offs

we are still second for a while but I will never like this manager of ours and what he tries to serve up

if NML doesn’t get the ball we are always worse than poor
