    Horrible game.
Just nothing went right. Bradley was so poor today,  won't be missed on that showing.
No intensity,  no guile... I've been defensive of Warne's tactics but today there really was too much aimless hoofball.
Passing across the back 3 to wing backs who were as deep as a full back would be.. launching it when we didn't really have out and out wingers who could take advantage.  Sloppy passing.
And brain-meltingly bad ref-ing. Pathetic s**t-housing, diving, staying down etc that was appallingly handled by the ref.
Another really bad performance, similar to a few others. When we are bad,  we are abject.
Needs a massive change for the next 3 difficult games.

At this stage of the season Warne should know how to get the best of the team. That doesn't rule out an off-day, but it should rule out off-days of this magnitude, and of this frequency. The biggest issue is that he got us reverting to hoofball, which hasn't worked whenever we've tried it, and strangely enough it didn't work this time, either. So we got him pre-match blathering on about the threat Northampton offered, and that we would have to defend with our lives, and clearly set up in fear of them, when with our comparative league positions and current form they should have been scares witless of us. Hourihane has told us that if they don't play the way Warne tells them then they get dropped. So today's tactics have to be on him. And when, as a bunch of players you know you can do better, and are being forced against what you know will work, is it any wonder that they looked, to be frank, hacked off at times?
And I brought the ref into it because he really was poor. If he had given the free kick for the blatant foul on Wilson, and the card that should have followed, Northampton wouldn't have broken away and scored, then our terrible defending would have mattered, or actually even taken place. So effectively he did cost us the game, but I would never make that claim, because it was our shocking defending that cost us the game. But the ref did nothing about the timewasting even before the goal, or Northampton stealing 5 - 10 yards and more for every throw and free kick, but was actually quite hot on Derby players for their throw-ins. And although Sibley deserved his yellow, maybe if the ref had given the free kick and yellow for the foul on Sibley immediately before he got his revenge, then that yellow card for Sibley wouldn't have happened. Or an offside on CBT after he had run through from the middle of a group of players before the ball was played.
But my main reason for pointing out the ref's abject performance, and why I didn't include the detail i have just given, was to highlight the fact that Derby County' performance was even worse.

Can anyone confirm whether Sonny Bradley made good connection with their player when he headed them, and if so is there a reason he is not able to do similar when it is a ball he’s aiming for?

Complete passenger some games, how he stayed on the pitch today baffled me.
No doubting he’s had a good career and he should be better in this team, but take away he can tuck the odd goal away around the box, his final ball can be quite poor. I’m sorry to say but far too wasteful for the calibre of player he’s supposed to be at league 1 level.

I don't understand why he didn't throw one of the centre-backs up front. But there's lots about Warne's football that seems inexplicable. The only good to come out of today is Bradley getting sent off.

Take a moment to compare Bradley and Forsyth. Football ability. Temperament. Professionalism. Chalk and cheese.

No but it’s the hope that hurts you as a Derby fan.
Really exasperated by this performance, because they genuinely looked terrible when they came to Pride Park, but we both missed chances and underperformed today.
    Very deflating after last week.

Absolute load of crap one of the worst games of football I’ve seen
Northampton are crap so that says it all
why take off Adams ? and NML ? Unless they’re injured it’s a strange decision
if anyone thought this league wasn’t of a poor standard this season that game sums it up a team in the top 2 and a team going nowhere in L1 …it was such a poor standard of football …any really good side would piss this league

Best thing from today is that Bradley can’t play for a few weeks.

No way we can blame a ref for that. Warne got it all wrong and the players compounded the issue by turning in a performance bordering on gross misconduct.

Absolutely terrible from start to finish
Northampton are terrible but put some effort so fully earned their win!
Dreadful and embarrassing from our players and management!
I'm not even going to comment on Sonny Bradley

This club has perfected the art of building you up with just enough hope that the disappointment is absolutely crushing. A real skill.

My lads were younger, it’s funny though other than the Lampard season, the eldest said last weekend for different reasons this season is one of the most exciting they can remember since the Mac 1 team.
He qualified it that the football is nowhere near as good or easy on the eye, but for the first time he’s excited we could go up automatic. He barely remembers the Davis team and following season (phew). Kind of gave me fresh perspective about that season, we were so good, yet faltered.
So now I don’t care, I’d just like them to have a successful promotion memory, head into town after Carlisle game and I’ll live all my glory day memories, whilst they enjoy their first true promotion one.

Still feel that team would’ve evolved in the Prem, maybe struggled but for all the great wins; it just always reminds them of that final.
