Two months or so ago. It was touch & go whether we had a team to watch in PP. We are basically starting again (not quite from scratch) We don't know how all these new players will gel, how injuries will pan out, even dare I say it, how good a manager Rosenior turns out to be. After all the s***e we've been through, it'll just be refreshing to turn up to PP, with no cloud hanging over us. To be just, more or less back to "normal" moaning, groaning, cheering, jumping out of the seat with joy.
Let's just embrace it, & enjoy it ?

We will and that is plenty for me, Football fans have got very short memories but we shouldn't forget how bleak it was off the field those past few months. Let's enjoy the season and see where it takes us

And if this was taken away from me
It will finsh me.  So I pray ?

As usual, the EFL narrative implies that things are going wrong (in this final process) and that they *must* intervene. Self-protective bullsh!t.
Q have to honour confidentiality, and other privacy law.
Q will select the chosen bidder...NOT the EFL; the EFL are there to ensure the buyer complies with their Rules & Regulations and 'fit & proper test'. Birch and his leaky, duplicitous cronies do not sit round a table with Q sifting the bids.
Unfortunately, the EFL have perpetually shown themselves to lack confidentiality, feeding clickbait media, and have also wilfully impeded processes.
Their damaging acquiescence about the creditor status of the parasite claims (which in itself added months to the admin process and they blocked/discouraged bidders with such 'obstacles' since last December) - and between themselves and Q, gave Kirchner many weeks too long to complete.
I expect that after this protracted fiasco, if any enquiry or investigation takes place, the sky will fall in on both Q and the EFL, and we will be well rid of both of them.
It seems that if the club survives, it will be in spite of their efforts, rather than because of them ?

I've kept quiet on this as thought best to see how things play out.
One thing a lot of people seem to be completely forgetting on this, is that contracts have been exchanged, conditional on the ground sale.
Therefore, unless it is the ground sale that stops the transaction from progressing, CK is on the hook.
Not sure why anyone thinks he would exchange contracts if he did not have the money to back it up.
Out of interest, to anyone that has spent the day abusing CK, how will you now react to him if the purchase goes ahead?

I feel like CK doesnt want to deal with MM directly on the stadium as he tried first time around and got nowhere, I believe he wanted MM to accept less which he rejected to do.
CK has openly said he came back in once the DCC were at the table for Pride Park.
Im not even sure its all about the price, how do we know it would be any cheaper to buy off the DCC than it would be off MM? I think alot of this is down to principle, at the end of the day CK is coming in and paying MM debts for him, I dont blame him for wanting nothing more to do with him.
From todays FB live + the talk of the DCC securing funding I do think a deal for the stadium is closer than we all think, I think an agreement on the sale of Pride Park will be in place this week as well as the EFL approval. Then CK can start making plans and WR can too, with the exit of admin and the stadium completed end of May / start of June, in time for preseason.

All the very best for the coming season and beyond.I hope Rooney sticks by you with a decent owner on board he has a good a chance as anybody to get you back up.Your fans have been superb through this crap period.Things can change very quick in football and sometimes for the better, look at us in the so called best league in the world the Premier league for another season.Although my opinion of  the PL ( I’ve missed 2 games this season )is it’s the fatal attraction of clubs who risk everything to get to the tv cash when for us fans it’s a bland predictable bore fest unless you are a top 4 club the rest just make up the numbers.I won’t shed a tear when we eventually get back to the championship a far better and more competitive league to play in.Hope to be playing you at Pride Park again soon.

Disappointed to finally have relegation confirmed tonight but it was always the most likely outcome.
Looking ahead to L1, assuming the takeover happens, I'd love us to avoid being that club who thinks we will walk the league and beat all comers.
We are set for the biggest squad overhaul we've ever seen which will be HUGELY unpredictable. We will have a target on our backs all season long, and there are some big clubs here who have more experience of the slog than we do.
I'm hoping that in August I am confident and think we can compete for promotion, but let's just temper expectations for now and keep the "everything is a bonus" approach, its contributed to the best season ever for atmosphere.

All this talk to CK's worth.....
Does it really matter? Surely we are just bothered if he has enough money to buy the club?
After that, shouldn't we be sustainable and run within our means? Is that even possible? What changes need to happen for us not to lose money year on year?
I just don't see how a club of our size can't be ran at a profit, if we can't then football really is broken....

Vulcanboy reacted to Woodley Ram in The Administration Thread
In response to the article Kirchner responded with –
“There’s a lot of false information appearing… in the US it’s easier to keep private wealth… private. Valuations on my company are wrong (in both directions) and most of that is illliquid. The money for the team came from private investments and early investments in crypto.”
“I’ve had to show this to Preston (despite the blatant lie in the Mail) Quantuma, and the EFL have seen it when we previously engaged in Derby. It’s also been shared with one other club we looked at as things got more serious.”
“Unless something comes directly from me or my team, be careful what you believe. Given the truths that have been proven from my comments in December about this deal, my promise on candor is true.”
When asked about a -15 deduction next season the answer was
“This is still to be decided. We have to discuss things with the league and see where we sit. We will share when we know, but right now we don’t know.”
Questions arose about his net worth only being around the £5 million mark. His response was,
“Well I paid cash for my plane and it’s worth about £22m.” He also confirmed that he does not need to put down a £5m deposit as Quantuma have enough funds until the end of the season, but once that runs out he will fund the club.
On the stadium issue and the possibility of the council buying it and leasing it to the club Kirchner said
“Yes… the Derby City Council have been instrumental in me coming back. They are great representatives for the people of Derby and will be a great ally for us as we rebuild the club.”
When asked about why he pulled out of purchasing Preston North End he said
“Let’s do a hypothetical here… Ever buy a car? If someone raises the price halfway through the deal by 10% over what you agreed then wants to force you to buy options and packages you don’t want/need with the car, would you buy it?”
“We started comparing every other club to Derby in terms of infrastructure. The other clubs we looked at needed significant improvements to produce players through the academy at the level we want long term.”
When asked if he was the sole financial backer or are there other investors in the mix, if so, are you able to advise who?
“It’s me… but I may bring in some partners for small stakes down the road for strategic reasons. Such as experience in media, experience in retail, or other things that are important to the business we are building. Or I might have some friends buy small pieces to be a part of it – But the deal is solely me at this point from a financial perspective and not dependent on anyone else.”
If successful with the Derby purchase, is your plan to stay long term or to flip the club and move on?
“No plans to sell something before I buy it… I’m 34, so I have some time to be the custodian before giving someone else a run”
Will you be continuing/backing RamsTV as it is now?
“Love Rams TV… we are going to do a lot more on the access/media front”
Do you and Rooney have already a rough idea how you will go about transfers this summer?
“He does… we haven’t had a chance to go through it together as this happened quickly. Going to discuss this and start moving on it in the coming weeks.”
Will the EFL allow you to buy players next season? Or will the club be restricted to free agents and loans?
“Haven’t met with EFL yet, so can’t comment on the outstanding issues with them. I will say they’ve been supportive, reasonable and amicable in previous conversations, so I think we will be treated fairly and the restrictions removed.”
Will Wayne Rooney remain as manager?
“He will be. He’s a big reason I came back. I think Wayne is the best young manager in the game.”
On offering current players new deals and recruitment in to the squad Kirchner replied –
“I’m sure we will… but I’ll default to Wayne and the team internally. He knows the squad he wants, my job is to give him the resources to assemble that squad.
“Hiring a recruitment team will be up to Garry and Wayne. I’ll trust their judgement.”
Kirchner gave confirmation that former Manchester City CEO Garry Cook will be the Chief exec. of Derby County.
Finally on the city of Derby and the future of the club Kirchner had this to say.
“It reminds me of my hometown. Everything revolves around Kentucky athletics. The passion is exciting and the people are nuts. Sometimes a little too much, but the supporters of Derby are a key reason I’m here. Derby is a big club and is going to get even bigger.”
“Let’s be realistic… we are going to build something sustainable and stable so the people of Derby and the supporters never go through something like this again. Goal 1 will be to rebuild the organization. Goal 2 will be to win League 1 next year.”
“A lot to be done, but I believe it will or I wouldn’t be spending my time or money on it. Despite people thinking I’m kicking tires, I’ve spent about £500,000 in diligence trying to find the right club. This isn’t a hobby… we’re here to build something special.”

I think part of Q's issue with the EFL is not only that their objection to the proposed exit plan may be contrary to insolvency law, but also that the exit proposal had been known to the EFL for some time.. yet they waited until xmas eve to object to it. And even then didn't really explain their objection to it properly until early February.

Q's agreement to the 21 point deduction was all based on the assumption that this would provide certainty and help us  emerge from admin quickly.. and yet EFL's continued pissing about only served to delay things and bring added uncertainty. SO maybe the agreement to the points deduction was gained under false pretences.
Whatever Q's beef with the EFL is exactly it is very real that's for sure.
