Wednesday fan in peace. Tough times for us both, 2 great clubs who’s fans deserve better than what we are getting at the minute. Hope you guys join us in the top 2 come end of the season. On current form, there’s no doubt about it. Have great memories of the baseball ground. That epic 3-3 fa cup game in 1993 is the best away game I’ve been to. Up the owls & rams ?

Very well done today guys thoroughly deserved the win and really it was men against boys. Your physicality, nouse and experience completely undid us. To be fair we’ve been like this all season, pretty football but no cutting edge and we need a couple of old heads to lead the kids. Unfortunately Evatt is so far down his moneyball route trying to find young players to sell on he completely ignores the fact that you need some grey hairs in the team who’ve been there and done it, unlike your man who knows exactly how to do it and is doing a cracking job. There may have been a few questioning his appointment but I think he’s more than answering them now. I think you’ve every chance of making the top two now if you keep up performances like todays so best of luck for the rest of the season. ??

More than 3 and a half years since your last visit to the Wham Stadium, it's that time again when Ram's fans descend on our little corner of East Lancashire.
I'm Robert, the Supporter Liaison Officer at Stanley and if there's anything you need to know about your visit on Saturday, just ask here and I'll do my best to answer.

If he was a knob that just turned up when Forest were doing well then I'd agree, but he has been on this forum for as long as I can remember and has always been respectful.
A bit of banter with the local rivals is a good thing.

I just want to say how lucky you are to have Paul Warne as manager. I've supported the millers for 69 years. Obviously, I've seen managers come and go during that period. As far as I'm concerned, and many other fans Warne is the best manager we've had.
Like Derby fans we went through some dark times. Administration points deducted, lost our ground, forced to play in Sheffield in an athletic stadium. No atmosphere, 4 years in the 4th division.
Paul has many qualities. Excellent staff management, a workaholic. He's articulate, honest and will live and breathe Derby County.
I thank him for all the memories, 3 Wembley wins 3 promotions and I wish him well and as a consequence wish the Rams well. I've never had a second team, but for the first time Derby County will be my second team. I look forward to seeing Paul succeed.
Hopefully Derby will be promoted and we survive in the championship and look forward to see you at the New York stadium.
    All the best.

Genuine question to people who are criticising Paul Warne for his style of play, how many of Rotherham's league one fixtures did you watch? And how many Championship ones not involving Derby? I feel like it's become a bit of an easy one to throw out there without justifying yourself why you don't like his style of football.

Agreed. Football is sadly quite unsentimental and unforgiving. However, it's so important that we put where we are today in some context and learn from the unsustainable approach to management, culture and playing style under the previous regime.
I get it, football is a results business and we want to get results in an entertaining way but unless we are flirting with relegation we need to buy into what LR and team are trying to do and give them plenty of time (a season at least). I honestly think they are trying to be more progressive and attacking. We will come up against teams who sit in and stifle us and I agree, we want to learn from this and identify ways to break it down and get results.
So far we've seen mixed performances and results. I think given the context, we have to accept this is work in progress.
At no point have we looked like losing. Even Barnsley under the cosh, did we really look like actually being blown away? Charlton, how we lost the game remains a mystery. An early goal at Shrewsbury and the complexion of the game is completely different.
We are creating more chances than last season, so far we have not been clinical in front of goal but despite that we sit 7th and on track to challenge for the playoffs, which would be a good season in my book. I think we have the potential to go better than that and our support and confidence can make a massive difference to that.
I accept people have a right to groan but it's massively unhelpful and don't underestimate how much the online negativity will be picked up by the players and other fans. So let's attempt to keep perspective and remember how critical our vocal support was to us nearly pulling off a miracle last year.

This is our best start to a season since 2014.
And all done with a team of free transfers and a EFL enforced wage cap.
Just let that sink in for a moment.

Many of us seen glimpses of Eiran's qualities in pre season last year but, the position we were in couldn't promote him to the first team.
His progression once he had the chance to play has been remarkable. Saturday was my first time I have seen Derby play live since lockdown and so first time seeing Cashin play. His MOM display on Sat was even more remarkable because of his age, position and obvious experience. The most impressive thing for me was how he marshalled the defense both physically and verbally. He looked like the seasoned pro who had been in promotion winning teams of the past. Stearman played his part but, cashin was heads above everyone literally.
Not often as a Derby and Ireland supporter that you can get properly excited but, here I am.
    Well played, keep it up.
    Thanks Mr Clowes.

Blimey ,it didn’t take long for the moaners and football managers in the stands to start!  44 days ago we were still in administration.Since then we’ve signed 12/13 new players in a market based on financial restrictions imposed by the EFL.We’re at least a fortnight behind in terms of fitness and we’re trying to bed in these new players and develop a playing pattern with an inexperienced, although articulate and enthusistic ,interim manager.Football isn’t an exact science and each season there’ll be highs and lows.Personally,I’m delighted with the start and expect fitness and results to improve steadily.Just listened to LR’s post match interview and he emphasised we’re a work in progress and the importance of spirit, resilience and determination in the squad.I think the realists among us realise there’s still a long way to go but from where we were,we should be really pleased with the progress made. Onwards and upwards !

Alright Rams, Guiseley (who?) fan here in peace.
I came to the Oxford game on Saturday with my mate (Wolves fan).
It was our first trip to Pride Park between us and usually we pick a random game every so often. So we ended up at your place.
We had a great time, your stadium is fantastic. Plenty of eateries around the ground too. The fans we were sat near were passionate and it was infectious. We were in the North Stand which was family orientated but it was nice to see so many youngsters getting behind the team.
The atmosphere was great, the bounce by the south stand was something I won't forget. Capped with a great goal to get the win aswell.
Only downside being, we parked at the industrial park past the south stand and we didn't move for about an hour after the final whistle. But that didn't spoil a great day out.
All the best for the season, will be looking out for your results and will likely come back later in the season too.

Agree with this completely. I would back Bird's ability to step up and own the CDM slot and push Knight and Hourihane in front of him to give us more a attacking set up. Knight has enough energy to get up and down and support Bird. Knight has goals in him, I'm convinced but he needs to be given the opportunity to buzz around the box a la Bryson.
I do fear he'll play 2 CDM and we will struggle to connect midfield to attack.
We have the personnel to play on the front foot, press and dominate this season and I think we'll come unstuck if we play too conservatively.
The tactical set up we have seen reminds me of Nigel Clough, great side and the right possession based approach but too cautious, particularly away from home. I'd much rather we went for it and let our players express themselves further up the pitch.

Two months or so ago. It was touch & go whether we had a team to watch in PP. We are basically starting again (not quite from scratch) We don't know how all these new players will gel, how injuries will pan out, even dare I say it, how good a manager Rosenior turns out to be. After all the s***e we've been through, it'll just be refreshing to turn up to PP, with no cloud hanging over us. To be just, more or less back to "normal" moaning, groaning, cheering, jumping out of the seat with joy.
Let's just embrace it, & enjoy it ?
