Part way through Ted Lasso at the moment on Apple TV.
While not laugh out loud funny all the time, I can't help but melt over how warm-hearted it is.
In real life the character would absolutely be incredibly annoying, but on TV he's just the right amount of charming. He'd be sacked within a week at Derby though.
Also, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent doing his best Roy Keane impression is absolutely hilarious.

I'm flying out to Kansas and Kansas City at the start of July. Never been before, but I'm told it's hot - very hot. Was very disappointed to learn I'll be missing the Sporting Kansas home match by one day, so if I want to find our Johnny I'll have to track him to the training ground.

Finished the latest episodes of Stranger Things season 4. Really wasn't prepared for how dark this season was going to be, but after adjusting my expectations following that first episode I loved it.
One episode (if you've seen it you can probably guess which one) had me weeping at the end. What a great use of a classic song.
The child actors are definitely more like adults now, but I can suspend my disbelief long enough to ignore it. Can't wait for the last two episodes to drop.

Boro and Wycombe won't take the bait, their claims are against Derby, not Morris.
What Morris needs to do is promise to cover the costs associated with any court case brought against the club, because there's no way Boro and Wycombe will go after him personally.
Just strikes me as more PR, with Morris desperately trying to regain some favour in a city which quite rightly should kick him to the kerb.

Sat here in bits again. My dad is really really ill and his bad days seem to coincide with bad news Derby days. He is Derby through and through and I'm not sure he understands or is aware of the off the field stuff now but I know later watching those goals on Quest with him how he will light up as little else makes him do now. That is why we have to save our club. It is not about amortisation, stadium sales, law suits, points deductions, etc. it is about watching those goals with my dementia-ridden dad and seeing his happiness for a few minutes later knowing we're off the bottom. The wonder of dementia is he will have forgotten tomorrow so we can do it all again several times. So duck the EFL, Morris, Gibson and the nobody chancer from Wycombe. We are better people than all of you and how dare you threaten the existence of our Derby family.

Well, I applauded him. Does that make me less of a Derby fan than those who booed him? Apparently so, but if you think measuring how much of a supporter you are can be done by booing opposition players then I have to say I feel sorry for you.

Not convinced at all, strikes me as another Alonso/Sheikh. No idea who Nixon is speaking to but I would be shocked beyond belief if this man is even a multi-millionaire, let alone a billionaire

Shang Chi - you know what you're going to get with Marvel films, and that's exactly what I got. Fun, some funny jokes, big fight scenes at the end.
There were some really funny cameos in it and I was impressed with the choreography of the fight scenes - it felt like it was made by a Chinese/Hong Kong studio, which is a compliment when it comes to martial arts fight scenes.
The main actor felt a bit wooden at times, but to be fair, he was always going to when he's surrounded by people like Tony Leung.

One thing I am struck by is just how static our front four is. Jozwiak, Lawrence, Watson and Kazim-Richards, none of them ran in beyond the defence. They all came towards the ball and that's really easy to play against. When Sibley came on the first thing he did was run in beyond the defence and we looked so much more threatening for it.
Away from that I thought Fozzy was our best player and Davies did well. Hoping we can get another CB in or Cashin can step up as Stearman looked absolutely petrified anytime he had the ball at his feet.

Not sure if he's done it to make it look worse, or simply because if any of them get injured today we're even deeper in the poo. Plus the youngsters need to get on the pitch at some point in pre-season if they're going to be on the bench for the first game.
