  1. Well if we wanted a.n.other manager before Warne that says it all. ps there are NO guarantees in life.
  2. In the modern business world where your managers are seen to be 'failing', don't you do things like set out an improvement program? Give them every opportunity to succeed. Whilst Clowes is going through the process of finding a replacement (like he did when getting Warne)! πŸ˜„
  3. Do you think the fans will keep putting their money into the Club in the same kind of numbers? Do you know that the broadcasting money will be less in league 1 from next season? Maybe Clowes will decide he can't afford to keep putting money in and will sell up?
  4. What are we saving Warne for? πŸ˜„
  5. However good an attacking player he might be - he can play well as a fullback! - we'll not see it under Warne. He looked okay playing with Wilson and scored good goals. So why not play them again? I cannot begin to understand Warne's playing rationale.
  6. I don't know the stats but why do you think Collins is better with his head than his feet? He seems to have a decent shot on him but we rarely get the ball in the box on floor it seems? But either way if we created enough chances we have enough attackers who can score goals, either by being in the 'right place', or by running into the box, or by shooting from outside the box. Why didn't Nat shoot yesterday but fluffed a pass to Waggy and then Sibs tried to score with the rebound? Why isn't Barks getting into the box more to attack, he's shown he knows were to be. Waghorn knows how to score but is played as a 10. Oh there's lots of players who can score given decent chances, actually there's less players who can score from balls slung into the box. It's no longer anything but exasperating from the manager.
  7. The man is an experienced businessman, he will act like one. He will recognise that running a football club is more than just 'wishes', he doesn't wish to keep replacing the manager but...
  8. That was sarcasm, as the emoji πŸ˜‰ pointed out. Warne has done well out of the players choice. Hourihane had the guts to front up to the fans. Apparently Warne did his little 'clapping the fans' performance pre the game!
  9. Yes, the error is not in appointing Warne but in not assessing the situation and recognising he's not going to make the KPIs agreed. So we move on.
  10. Would have got on in the pizza cup if we'd have been 3-0 up, tactics mate.
  11. Impossible. But Waghorn would certainly do the job better than Collins.
  12. But you have to question if he really knows what to do with players? When he brought Bradley on with 3 minutes to go it was obviously to play him up front, but why not give him 15 minutes? When he had youngsters on the bench in the pizza cup and didn't bring them on at 2-0 because he was going to bring them on at 3-0, not how the game was going per se just at a scoreline. Lots of his tactical decision making process can be questioned, not just with 'ball players', but they were a couple of recent occasions.
  13. πŸ‘ Let the ball do the work, but we do by launching it forward and into the box. I don't think the players legs (bar maybe Bradley) have gone, but I think their hearts have. Even Bradley could be used better if we remember Paul McGrath. Hourihane was an astute choice of captain by Warne, he's taking some of the heat off him. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜„The players (all, most?) seemed to think he'd make a good captain and many of them have played for excellent captains no doubt. We have seen Hourihane play well and run well in games, but as he said he does what the manager asks of him.
  14. I was questioning whose club is it. It's ours, but what can we do but watch?
  15. I said 'OUR club?' Indeed it is, although he is the owner.
  16. Our Club? He's the owner he calls the tune. What he does and when is down to him - we just watch. #COYR
  17. Where's the 'duty of care' to Warne, things could get nasty and he's not fond of booing or 'Warne Out' signs?! πŸ˜„
  18. Spot on. But what will Clowes see after more than a year into a plan to establish us in the Championship that makes him think he's on the right track? Will he make a difficult decision, which you suggest is keeping Warne on, or will he twist? We live in interesting times. #COYR
  19. He made the decision to replace Rosenior based on employing an 'expert'. Has he the nerve to sack his choice when it is plain as day it's plummeting - does he know how to pull the Club out of it's nosedive?! πŸ˜„
  20. The business was his dad's business though, not sure how many tough decisions Clowes jnr has made? But more importantly what does he know about running a football club? Mel didn't sack many towards the end of his reign. Rowett and Lampard poached and Cocu mutual. πŸ˜‰
  21. To me that just means the 'chairman' doesn't have the needed guts to make a tough decision, but will make a decision and say 'the fans made me do it'. I hope that's not the type of leadership we have at Derby.
  22. We've got plenty of money, it's how you look at the money we'll lose from the fans not turning up. How much can a league 1 manager and some lower league coaches be on ffs?
