LauraH reacted to Ramos in The Administration Thread
They haven’t actually claimed - just threat to claim so that can’t hold up the process by the sounds of it. I also think it’s clear that claim will be quashed easily.

Fantastic news! Those two great guys have sorted it.

The same Mel who spent almost two years trying to get rid of us. He doesn’t want that and the EFL won’t allow it. The more this goes on the more I’m convinced Mike Ashley will takeover.

LauraH reacted to Jon Bon Pony in Jozwiak - Taken early retirement
I'm not saying there was nothing to this, but if the deal had actually been close to agreed, he'd not have been playing.

Oh the irony. Mel spent years trying to discover and define ‘the Derby way’.
Turns out he had to put us into administration to find what defines us.
Warriors are forged in fire and adversity. What doesn’t kill us will make us stronger.

LauraH reacted to Ram-Alf in The Administration Thread
I watched the programe on GB News, It was clear where the finger is pointing...Andrew Brigden intimating Boro/WW are holding things up, HMRC acording to one guest are complicit with no digital tax collecting, Also he mentioned a 3rd party in Wales that had loaned us £20m...MSD?

To be fare Laura the Reading support would seam to be dismissive of their team as their attendance has wained this last few years, 11,742 average att for 2021-2022

As an aside to all this, an indication as to how a club can have a bearing on a persons mental health is this. My dad died suddenly on 31 Jan 22 and the first time I started to feel any cheer since his death was on Tuesday night watching Derby score 3 goals. It broke the malaise.

Probably been mentioned but that goal difference will come in useful.

Don't forget about Festy. Nobody should under estimate the effect he is now having on games, both in terms of his play, and how much he lifts the fans.

LauraH reacted to Marriot Ram99 in Relegation rivals watch
We'll be mathematically safe before the final day I reckon, will be a massive party atmosphere.
Reading are that rubbish and there's other teams who could be dragged in too as mentioned, whereas if we keep our main players fit e.g Beilik, Lawrence, and Davies we are good enough to get a points total that would challenge for the Playoffs without a deduction I think.
Just have to keep that core players fit because we have such little depth and big reliance on those 3 +Bird, and Plange.

Barnsley won 1 in 27 !!!
Who the hell was that too. Could have been another 9 till that they beat that record we have with Macclesfield. Don't help ourselves do we .?

Obviously we need to be targeting Peterborough and Reading, but I can completely see Hull and Birmingham falling back into it- Brum have their off field issues but it's affecting them the *wrong* way (from their point of view), and Hull... well let's just say their fans seem nervous.

LauraH reacted to David in The Administration Thread
Just had a look, almost replied with the most obvious bit of factual information that shuts his entire opinion down, but couldn't be bothered.
The EFL set the deadlines. That went beyond the start of the season so they couldn't have retrospectively applied the deduction.
If the response to that is, why did it take so long, well that would be down to a certain Mr Gibson delaying proceedings by trying to get involved with the tribunals.
Out of both the claims, the Wycombe one has got to be the easiest one to get rid of. Why it's even being entertained by the organisation that set the deadline is beyond me.

LauraH reacted to Jimbo Ram in The Administration Thread
If you think about it Mel could sort this in 5 minutes. He drops the stadium price by 7 million to prospective new owners, that money pays off the blood sucking parasites and the takeover is good to go. But Mel's ego is as big as the Gibbon's so he would rather see the Rams go to the wall than end the feud he has with the joker. I hate the thought of Boro getting a penny but this could be resolved pretty quickly....

LauraH reacted to vonwright in Campaign to get the Administrators to take the claims to court
Absolutely. The whole tone of that EFL statement was 'see you in court'.
(With just a tiny hint of '...But let's drag the stadium and Morris and MSD into this, since that'll confuse casual onlookers from other clubs, and in any case that's who Gibbo really wants to feel pain')

Before I sign off the night and listen to the missus woes from work, just going to say this, don’t be angry at the EFL’s statement tonight, it’s a positive one for us and it clearly states their position which allows us to move forward with a high court judgment.
Whilst we might disagree on the side they fell into, it wasn’t totally unexpected and we’ve been desperate for them to come down off the fence for a while now, this is better than to continue stalling.
Quantuma have what they need now, the EFL’s position and proof of funds to see us through the next couple of months, time for court.

LauraH reacted to SillyBilly in The Administration Thread
I'd now back a public statement saying the club will take them to court with the expectation of either defeating the claims in full or, if we lose, going into liquidation with us having no intention of paying a penny. Up the ante.
Then we'll see Gibson and co. for what they really are. They'd have to take us to court knowing they'll either win and liquidate us (something he claims he doesn't want to do) or lose and get nothing.
Play it out in the media.
