Hey, at least my worst moments are out there for all to see (well, not literally). I’m an honest guy.😂
I shiver to think about what @David and @Boycie have got up to in their spare time. Probably together.

The Dutch are pretty straight to the point. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Cocu hasn't got the personality of Lampard, but he has got a history of producing world class young players, winning titles and playing good football, so that'll do for me 😉

That's why we need to send a proper bunch of questions over to RamsTV from dcfcfans.
Snog, marry, avoid. Martin, Marriott and Waghorn?
    Most drunk you've ever been?
Naughtiest thing you did under the age of 16?
Of the first team squad, one of them has to live with you for a year. Who and why?
Not this "So did you enjoy your paid for trip to Florida to start your brand new job" nonsense.
Get to the core of the man. Get your Cocu out

Selling our soul? For getting players on loan? That's a bit melodramatic.
Your posts seem to suggest you've been around long enough to remember us in our heyday, so without wanting to go all Forest and start living in the past, you need to realise we are a Championship team and have been for 10 years. I'm nearly 30 and have seen more lower division football than I have top division. I have no problem with that, I'm under no illusions of grandeur.
We use every resource available to us to better the team and try and win games - who knows, maybe eventually we may get to the Premier League and actually compete. To think we're above loans or too noble to have them is just ludicrous. They're players that can add quality far above what we can afford to have permanently - we're not talking the loans of 10 years ago where we're meant to get excited about Jamie Vincent here.

Important to remember the excellent charity work that he's done in the last few years too.

I know nothing about this guy so I'm just going purely on how his name sounds.
Definitely sounds like one of those flops we'll talk about in decades to come.
"Remember that Simon Sluga? God he was dreadful".
Got a ring to it. Not for me.

That myth was dispelled some time ago by a poster on here. Whoever it was, they showed that he passed it forward more than Bryson, Johnson and Hughes was it? Something like that.
He played about 80 times, scored about 10 goals, was actually very very good when a consistent regular upon arriving and very good when consistently picked by Mac when we went about 10 games without conceding or whatever it was. He was massively crucial for us at one time. Badly managed afterwards, as was Hughes who struggled similarly under Rowett. Butters has since had no games here and struggled out on loan also.
I said it before, but he appears to have lost his mojo. He’s had a poor two years. But the way the majority of our fans go on, you’d think he had been horrific. He was at worst average, and I think that’s even unfair. The price tags didn’t help him or Johnson.

Unfortunately Derby County  have been overtaken by the clubs that used to be our whipping boys back in the day .Tell a youngster that Spurs ,Arsenal ,Man U etc  were regularly turned over by the Rams and they look at you gone out .We are where we are and we need to get used to it, we have been left behind  even by clubs such as Bournemouth etc.

Had completely forgot about this one but it was awesome... possibly my favourite in my lifetime
Didn’t like this one but the kappa kits really impressed me, they were actually pretty well designed and made. The black shirts with orange was my favourite of there’s, still use the shorts and socks

Whose desire to play for Derby would you rather have? Tomori's or Anya's? Mount's or Butterfield's?

Arguably, a loan player like Mount or Tomori, playing to stake a claim at his parent club, has more motivation to play well than a signed player on a long comfy contract...

Permanent players don't play for the badge anymore than loan players do. Tell me Tomori didn't care about us or didn't play for the badge. So what, we're Derby County, that doesn't make us anything special. If we want top loan players, then we have to suck it up and accept what comes with it, we don't get to sign the quality of Mount permanent, but we do get to loan them.  With FFP and with top clubs signing the talent, loans are the best we'll get.

Great to see the thread (thanks @DarkFruitsRam7). Sometimes if giving talks I claim this is my earliest memory, but that's a bit of a stretch as I was only three. The whole Sagan family had gathered at my parents to see it and I'm told I was plucked from my bed and brought into the front room to watch those famous steps on our black and white telly. Do I remember it? Memory is a very difficult thing to pin down.
That said, I absolutely remember Apollo 13 which was only a year later, and wondering if the astronauts would make it back.
I've just written a book about the future that has a chapter on Space Travel and Colonization. Here's the opening, mentioning the stunning leaps forward in powered flight up until Apollo 11, and how we've regressed since.

I’ve been waiting for this thread to come around. When Apollo 11 went to the moon I was five. It’s a cross I’ve had to bare for fifty years. The reason why is because my name is Neil Armstrong.
