Whilst we bash away, mostly anonymously behind the keyboard, just go take a second to see what Josh Vickers is going through right now, Ed, just like us all is a real person.
Regardless of how you feel about him as a person or his commentary style there is absolutely no need for personal stuff towards a fellow Derby fan.
Seriously, come on, have a word with yourselves.

My opinion is that Radio Derby have churned out some excellent sports reporters over the years and I include Ed Dawes in that.
I also wish Sally Pepper all the best for the future.

It's quite an unpleasant forum on here sometimes isn't it.
The blokes doing his job,has some time off for unknown reasons and gets personally slagged off by fellow derby supporters whilst he does so.

Alright Rams, Guiseley (who?) fan here in peace.
I came to the Oxford game on Saturday with my mate (Wolves fan).
It was our first trip to Pride Park between us and usually we pick a random game every so often. So we ended up at your place.
We had a great time, your stadium is fantastic. Plenty of eateries around the ground too. The fans we were sat near were passionate and it was infectious. We were in the North Stand which was family orientated but it was nice to see so many youngsters getting behind the team.
The atmosphere was great, the bounce by the south stand was something I won't forget. Capped with a great goal to get the win aswell.
Only downside being, we parked at the industrial park past the south stand and we didn't move for about an hour after the final whistle. But that didn't spoil a great day out.
All the best for the season, will be looking out for your results and will likely come back later in the season too.

Well it is nearly here first game of the season against oxford United we need everyone in top voice and getting behind the lads but sadly I wont be able to do the bounce as I might have broken my big toe sigh but this wont be stopping me from getting behind them. Lets have sea of black and white let's have flags scarfs held up as players come out of the tunnel and banners too. Let new players think oh wow what a club and what a fan base.

Good workout for everyone, with expected sloppiness from time to time. One very impressive save from Wildsmith after Bird lost possession in the middle. Near the end Captain Curtis gave the ball away with Wildsmith in no man's land. Should have been the equalizer but Bradford's Jamie Walker chipped it onto the roof of the net.
Nice to see Fozzy bag a goal. Sibley had come short, collected the ball, turned inside and tried to find Barkhuizen in the box but a defender deflected the ball wider and Fozzy leathered it in from wide in the penalty area.
Sibley has run valiantly as centre forward, and linked play well, and they've praised him a lit on the commentary and said how involved he's been in the game, but I'd say he is far more dangerous and effective as a midfielder.
Both wingers are good outlets. We're passing the ball around and keeping possession, but prepared to go long to the wings quite often and we have a powerful midfield in Bird and Knight. Thommo not so visible, but came into it more as the half went on. One great thidding tackle from Cashin after Thommo had lost possession. Ex Man City young full back has been steady and wants the ball. Could be good.
Let's see what the second half team does.

Throughout these ruinous last 24 months my morale has been sustained by the robust presence of WR & LR and the superb togetherness of the fans. But WR’s resignation hit me like a train on Friday; after reading David Clowes’s statement I was floating …but the news just a few hours later utterly floored me.

3 days later I’m starting to rally. Surveying the Club today - the fragments- what do we have? Well not much left. Except, we still have huge support and a shared experience of last season where the centrality of the fans to football in Derby was palpably demonstrated time and again.
I felt flattened on Friday. But I’m regaining strength Monday from the memory of those indefatigable songs of defiance. Let’s keep the faith and re-group and continue to show ourselves and if we do so I know we will bounce back. We’re all in this together so let’s stick together and re-build stronger.

RamO reacted to Ram Logan Josh in Rams shirts for our two Ukrainian refugee kids
I'm sponsoring/hosting a Ukrainian refugee family through the Homes For Ukraine scheme.  33 year old Mum, 9 year old daughter and 5 year old son.  Been here 3 weeks now and settling in well.  It's exhausting but fulfilling. The stories they tell of their experiences bring tears to my eyes even as I type this.
Wondered if anyone had a spare Rams shirt for the kids, that they're prepared to let go?  Think there's a chance of them becoming lifelong fans.
I'm prepared to pay obviously, but a suitable donation from me to a Ukrainian charity instead might be a nice way forward.
Let me know what you've got!
    Thanks

he is not transferring Crypto. I have just listened to the Alan Nixon on talksport and that was interesting.  The issue with CK is that he is transferring an amount larger than anything he has done before (red flag) and from the US to a country he probably has never transferred to before (red flag).
I would imagined a compliance officer of a US bank has made a SAR (suspicious activity report) to the FinCen (the US money laundering reporting establishment). In the UK we would send our SAR to the NCA (National Crime Agency).
The issue with this is that your bank transfer is blocked for a period (short) of time to allow an investigation. It will then be released. If you ever have a payment that is held up by a bank for about 5 days then that is what has probably happened.
Also it is a criminal offence to tell your client (CK) if you have made a SAR, so he will be well frustrated.
If it hasn't gone to the FinCen then the release should be quicker as the bank will be asking for potential proof of where his funds have come from and where they are going.
The US banks are amongst the most stringent in the world due to the large fines given out by US regulators.
I think we just need to be patient as I'm not sure how much CK can tell us.

Who’s played him as a fiddle?
I know Ed isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, he’s not really mine and I’ll criticise him where it’s appropriate, but today he did the right thing and it’s fair to give him credit where it’s due. Kirchner might not like it, Nixon might not like it but they were both sat on the information as to why the takeover had hit a snag, but because it didn’t suit their versions they were keeping quiet.
Ed went OTT with his morning message yes, and it was classic Dawes, but because he did Nixon came out giving us what he knew all of a sudden. Simon Stone was tweeting to add pressure on. White and Jordan at the very least gave it national coverage and did speak to Kirchner. Dan Roan chased Kirchner across a well kept field! By midday at least the fans could paint a picture of what was happening and get a clearer view. How many times can we say we’ve been given that over the last 18 months. It’s not about good or bad news, it’s that we had a right to know what’s going on. Look on here today, no huge dramas or too much gloom, we chatted, debated and had a bit of a laugh about what was happening because at least we had a good idea what was happening. Imagine if we’d had another day of silence whilst Kirchner played golf, the fans deserved to know what was happening.
Ed started to pull back a little after lunch, and so did Radio Derby on their news bulletins until sportscene. There Ed said pretty much everything he knew at that point, which was a changing story and that Ashley and Appleby were now in the background.
He did well today and it gave the fans a clearer picture. It’s only right that we give credit where it’s due.

I'm probably in the minority here but I appreciate Ed Dawes' efforts today. Seems like most journalists had just accepted that it would be done soon despite it dragging on and CK's and Quantuma's expected completion dates being missed. He might very well be wrong with the information he got this morning (hopefully), but it's got national media attention again and has seemed to give everyone a little nudge to reach a conclusion.

Whilst there will undoubtedly be those who are either trolling/wumming, I think a fair few of us fans have been through peaks and troughs with the whole Derby debacle. I know I have. Some of us will be at the point of abject misery about proceedings now, when last Feb they'd be ok. I was the other way around.
I'm pretty certain we will miss out on a fair few signings (Flint) and lose some players for nothing who if we could only offer contracts to we would get a fee for (Cashin, Ebiowei). CK may not take us over, it may be Appleby, may be Ashley, may be A.N. Other, I think there will be a Derby though and in a few years time it'll be different names that we are excited about, February I couldnt see or say that, even if it was obvious to everyone else.
On this forum we are a great mixing pot of ages, experiences, and viewpoints that would never coalesce in real life, but each of us will be in different places emotionally with Derby at this moment and that will move.
We'll get there, wherever there is.
    Right back to doomscrolling.

Anything less than takeover completion, Rooney signing a lifetime contract, every single first team player re-signing and five new players to bolster the ranks all being announced by 17.00 tomorrow and I am going to go and glue myself to the Greggs at Pride Park.
