Yep, understand that.  The OP was asking why he hadn't bid before Christmas which was simply because Gibbo (and Coupig) had a strangle hold over us to the tune of £45m.  No-one wanted to take on that liability so Gibson got his way in delaying any possible takeover.  As you say, he still doesn't seem to have actually bid, just waved a bank statement around saying, look I have £50m.   If it had been £50K, even I may have sought a bank loan and bought us ?

Couldn't we just have had one whole day to celebrate good news. Just one. 

That's my only issue with Wayne quitting - timing. Would Monday have killed him? 
Lost a little bit of my respect there, but I'm still grateful for what he's done since we went into Administration. 

@BucksRam. This morning I knew nothing at all about David Clowes. Gradually details about him have been posted and each one, like the one you posted above,  has ticked another box for me.
I was very sad when the Kirchner bid fell through, but sometimes things happen for a reason. In 1990 I was gutted not to get a job in school A. But instead I got my dream job in school B - and met my future husband - the love of my life and soulmate.
I hope so much for the sake of us all that we have turned the corner and I agree that hopefully he'll surround himself with football savvy people.
So far to go still. So many unknowns. But I feel more optimistic about our future than I have done for a while. ?

My condolences on your loss, really sorry to hear that.  Spot on post @Mostyn6 - sums up my feelings too.  I may not be Derby born, nor live nearby but I've followed this club for some 45 years and the thought of us disappearing has had a big impact on my own well-being not least going through my own struggles.  The fact that we now genuinely look like we're saved is a huge weight of my mind and I can't wait to just focus on the football going forward, even if it is, as you say, likely to be pretty tough.  COYR!

Think I read on Twitter too that he parks in town and walks to games.  With his money he could get chauffeured in.  One of the people. I have no doubt he'll get football savvy people around him to run the club.

I get the impression yes.  This deal was done a week ago but kept quiet whilst he sorted the loan out.  I can't believe whilst doing all the work to buy the stadium and sort the loan that he and his team haven't also done the work to pull together a buy-out package as a fast-follower.

Obviously, it's been a very difficult situation for the EFL, punishing derby enough to not be sued by Gibson, punishing derby enough to feel like a big man, but then realising derby going busy would be a really bad thing.
