I think that’s good, he has had some injuries, as others have raised concerns around the age of some of our recruits, a one year deal gives him a chance to play for another contract and offers a sensible approach from the club in not over committing but strengthening immediately.

Good that we seem to have brought in two keepers.  Good competition and back up.  If comments on Twit Zone are anything to go by Rushworth is a great talent and one for the future.  Personally I know nothing about him but let's hope they're right.
Did ask my Owls mate about Wildsmith and he commented that he thought he was a decent keeper, better than Cameron Dawson who has just returned from his exploits with Exeter, when it seems he did very well. So it sounds like we may have two decent keepers to start us off.

I would be disappointed if we can't work something out with Curtis. An absolute hero last season. He will know our wage cap. I cant see what the issue would be. Just offer him the cap and get it sorted.

Yeah fair comment, get that. Maybe I'm biased. No, I know I am.  Not a fan of Luton. As you may have guessed.  Its not far from me so I know it pretty well.  Unfortunately ?

Nathen Jones is ex Brighton (may even have been caretaker manager for a game) and has good links there. Possibly even played with Rosenior.
Roberts was a centre back but is t the tallest and ended up more a left sided defender. His loan spell at Rochdale ended with Rochdale being relegated and they leaked goals for fun.

Remember the good old days when we were competing with Villa for players, now it's bloody Luton.  If they hadn't got em all at 40k a week we'd have been bust 3 years ago.

Mercedes positives- 3rd place-getting faster and smoother, challenging ferrari. Mercedes negatives- poor pit stop, have been for a while now. Red Bull positives- Perez hanging in there for his reward, fastest car on the track easily. Red Bull negatives- Max broke his own car, riding the kerbs too hard and dipping his tyre in the dirt(debris lol) , Max's race to lose. Ferrari positives- Great to see Carlos get his maiden win. Ferrari negatives- totally screwed Charles over today, he is Max's main challenger wtf, Carlos lost the start, went off track under pressure, Charles was quicker. Lando and Nando raced well, great to see young Mick grab some points. Finally I'm so glad Zhou is ok, could of been terrible, did anybody notice the steward who only just got out of the way ? Anyway great race.

Woke up this morning and had to pinch myself to check this was real. I'm not Derby born. I don't have family who have lived,  breathed and died Derby.  But reading through these comments and reflecting on how I felt last night drives home how much of a part this club plays in my life.
My wife sadly doesn't do sport.  She doesn't really get it. But even she was empathetic as this morning as I got emotional all over again reading your comments, recounting how Ed completely lost it on live radio, how other so-called fans had gloated over essentially the ruin of someone's life.  I'm so, so grateful to Clowes. We have a club. We live to fight another day.  Whoever you are. Wherever you are. We are ALL Derby.

Yeah that'd be my take too.  Start off with the "bad" news (albeit mostly not a surprise) then leave us with some good news toward tea time.  Hope so anyway.  Would love the 5pm announcement to be Curtis re-signing, as club captain.

Similar position @86 Hair Islands, in that I work from home 99% of the time, on a laptop so have had far too easy access to t'internet.  At times I became obsessed with looking at this forum, twitter, NewsNow, DET etc hoping for good news.  And became pretty depressed with the whole thing, compounded by also letting the apparent success of other clubs affect me, and getting more and more bitter at the PL clubs spending £100s of millions on just one player, the likes of Rudiger demanding half a million a week,  when a tiny proportion of that would have saved our club.  Like @BaaLockssays, I could go on too about the detrimental impacts of what's happening in the country, the cost of living, Ukraine etc.  It all affects us in so many ways.
However, as I've mentioned on here before, in the time we've been dealing with Mel's little leaving present, my family has suffered 3 bouts of covid, my wife's been diagnosed, and beaten breast cancer, my Mum was diagnosed, and beat ovarian cancer (although now dealing with completely unrelated breast cancer - mastectomy this Weds) and my eldest has had pretty bad anxiety issues for which we are seeking medical help.  My best mate lost his father, another his mother.  Many on here have similar challenges, or worse.
So a while back I took a conscious decision to change my mindset.  Much as I love Derby County, and of course football, I have absolutely no control over what happens there. None.  Family, friends, and of course my own well-being are far more important.  I binned off NewsNow and the DET (not a difficult decision).  I deliberately imposed social media blackouts on myself.  I made myself go out for lunchtime walks.  And it's helped massively.  Yes I still get wound up with the footballing world - it's broken.  We all know that - I suspect though we'd feel less strongly about it if none of what's happened to Derby had occurred.
All I want to do is focus on the football again, discuss how we played, how we should have clung to that 1 goal lead and why, oh why did we have to concede in the 94th minute - again. I hope by the end of this week, we can all begin to have those conversations again. Until then, I'll focus on my Mum's op this Wednesday, and maybe, just maybe do a little internet search that evening to see if there's a bit of news from Mr Clowes.
    Have a good day all.
