    Completely agree.
I saw a stat this morning that implied some 620K people had been pinged to self-isolate between 7 -14 July.  That's huge and would have had a massive impact on businesses, especially for the self-employed.  We're running at 40-50K new cases a day at the moment so I'd expect this figure to rise.  I know several people, all of whom are double jabbed, who have deleted the App simply because they either need to work, are going on holiday, or no longer wish to be tied down to staying at home.  I can only see this getting more prevalent.  A friend of mine was pinged recently - his isolation ends this weekend but as a result he missed an annual get together he'd been massively looking forward to (which I attended; it was great fun), plus 2 family get togethers.  He self-tests twice a week anyway and has remained negative throughout.  He's already said he's done with the App and will be deleting once he gets the green light.

BucksRam got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Is this the most depressing period you’ve experienced as a Derby fan?
Is this the most depressing period? Yes.
Being relegated to Div 3 was depressing.  The 3 amigos again was depressing, as was amassing a measly 11 points in the PL.   Admittedly the Div 3 relegation and 3 amigos was when I was much younger so my memory may be off.  But right now it just feels it's been one thing after another, bit by bit sucking the life out of me.  Just when I think things may turn a corner something else gets chucked at us.
What doesn't help is the bandwagon of vitriol from other fans, pundits, club owners or anyone else who feels they should get on board to get their name in lights (stand up Simon Jordan, Gibson et al) all readily accessible through FB, Twitter, Instagram, Pod Cast, Radio and many other mediums perhaps not around previously.  The constant flow of cr4p our way, being thrust in our faces whenever we turn on our phones or laptops, just adds fuel to the negativity around the club.
The club too have been poor - their lack of open and honest communication to the fans has been shameful.  Whilst I appreciate commercially there's stuff they can't say, they really ought to have had more open comms with us.  The club is nothing without its fans. Everything I've seen so far has just been lip service in my opinion.

I have just been on the HMRC Forum, and all they are taking about is what formation Wayne Rooney’s Derby County will play this year. A good number are going for 433 but personally I don’t think any of them have any idea whatsoever.

This.  What I hate about this kind of thing is that "everyone" assumes he's guilty before the case has even been heard- dirt sells.  Innocent until proven guilty.  The sad thing is if he is proven innocent, chances are his career will nose dive anyway.  Reminds me of the Ched Evans case, albeit not exactly the same.  He spent over 2 years in jail until found to be innocent on appeal following which hardly anyone wanted to know him.  To this day his accuser cannot legally be named albeit she has been called out on social media.
As with the Derby furore, the media love a dirty story that everyone can get on the bandwagon with when it's "in the public interest" (an expression I hate). I really, really hope this ends up like many such stories, with him being found innocent, despite everyone's pre-conceptions and what's reported in the press, but if not, then he deserves whatever he gets.

Look at Ched Evans… Career and life ruined when he was innocent. Doesn’t matter if this player is found not guilty he will always be seen as guilty in many peoples eyes unfortunately.

Absolutely.  Didn't Rooney only say the other day he'd spoken to several players who were keen - a few may fit the criteria.  At least we can sign some - it's a start.

We were forced to play by the FA, not the EFL, fielding a team of kids, some of whom will likely never play professional first team football ever again. It smacks of someone in the EFL pouring over rule books at 3 in the morning desperately trying to find something else to throw at us.   I think this time though, even a number of other clubs have gone "Come on guys, enough's enough".
