Bob Hoskins, the deceased actor? Or Sam Hoskins, the 31 year old attacker who has scored more than 3 goals in a League 1 season only twice in his career?

To be honest , reading your post it sounds more like what your looking for is consistency and what knocks the stuffing out of you is the lack of it ,guts me too , my reaction during and for a while after the game was , why the duck do I bother putting myself through this
reality is you really don’t get consistency at this level or even below mid table prem , the players lack that and it’s why they are not top level , what you gonna do ? Give up and support city ?
nah where’s the gut churning butterflies , highs and lows in that ?
I get it though ,I really do ,it’s hard work being a derby fan

So eg of our starting team today :
    Cashin Nelson Forsyth
    Adams Smith
    Hourihane
    Ward  Wilson
    Waghorn NML

And..injury-free we could send out a change 2nd XI of...
    Niambe Bradley Rooney Elder
    Bird Thompson
    CBT  Sibley
    Barks Collins Gayle

With JJ, Fornah, Washington in neither team.
For League 1 that is very good is it not?

    Yes plenty of positives.
After we lost to Stevenage and Shrewsbury in October, if someone said with 6 games to go you'll be 4 points clear of 3rd. Every one of us would have taken it.
Infact every single one of us would have probably taken Bolton's position after those games.
Yes yesterday was poor, but if we'd taken those huge chances we win that game comfortably and we go away happy.
We have more than enough to beat Blackpool at home. Bolton have a tricky game at Stevenage. Who knows we could be 7 points clear by next Friday night.
Wycombe away is 2 and a half weeks away. We could have Gayle, Barkhuizen back for then.

Well your pre-match negativity came to fruition mate, so let's see what a back 4 can do... yesterday was very disappointing.
Fact remains that I think if Waghorn scores we coast home, if Adams doesn't miss that sitter I think we win too. As it was, our 'percentage' football failed and we need to go again.

I agree, it's ridiculous that football players are being asked to run during a football match, what is Warne thinking?

Thought we had a good twenty minutes. pass and move, balls into feet, give & go, looked sharp, one twos, plenty of movement, anyway ………then they all went in, pulled up their socks, came out again, the ref blew his whistle to kick off and that was that! 👍😁

Thought Waghorn really struggled to get into the game. Gave away free kicks, didn't hold up the ball well, doesn't go beyond the back line, missed a great chance.
Washington was as bad and Collins will be as rusty as anything,  so I'm not saying any are ideal... bit of a worry tbf.

I’m struggling to see how we are going to score goals between now and the end of the season.
Collins will take a while to get back to form. NML was his main supply line and a goal scorer himself.
Waghorn is just a wrecking ball and will get sent off soon. Washington isn’t really a goal scorer.
It’s looking a bit grim but this season has thrown up many surprises.
4-3-3 at least gives us a better balance. I think Warne recognises our midfield is weak, hence the 5-3-2.
Let’s hope Smith and Thompson can find some form to give us the momentum we need.

That'd be my team also, except I think it may be too soon for Collins to start. If so, I'd rather see Washington there than Waghorn as the former does look to run beyond defenders. I think it's also unlikely that Warne will drop Hourihane with so many unavailable, so expect either Smith or Sibley to make way.

Pride Park: Friday March 29th - 15.00 Kick Off
Friday night we get a chance to eradicate the bad dream that was Northampton away, but I think we've ridden our luck a little longer than just the last game and we simply must deliver a performance, or we risk succumbing to the lottery that is the play-offs. It's a sobering prospect by any measure. As it stands, we remain masters of our own fate, but potentially only by a single point and GD. Suffice to say, we can ill afford any further slip ups, or the chasers will be on us.
On paper, this is a tougher game than the last one, with Blackpool having notched wins against Bolton, Peterborough and Shrewsbury as well as a draw against league leaders Pompey in their last 10 league games. Chief goal threat would be Jordan Rhodes who has notched 15 this season, with Jake Beesley and Karamoko Dembélé chipping in with 8 amd 7 respectively. Dembélé also has a very respectable 11 assists, with CJ Hamilton next best with 7 for the season to date. Keeping those two quiet might be key.
Squad News: Injury report might perhaps be a better heading! With Nate now joining an ever-growing list of crocked players, it's safe to say that having had a pretty healthy squad a mere few weeks back, we're bang in trouble again on that front and we'll need to marshal resources in a clever and effective manner if we are to get anything from this game. We are told that the one good piece of news on this front currently is that Collo may play a part, but whilst the man's a Spartan, he'll surely not be sharp enough to start.
A last thought, until we have more news on who is actually fit enough to play, would be that while I want us to beat Blackpool, I do recall their kindness and solidarity during our troubled recent past. They're a proper club with a proper set of fans and I hope we make them as welcome at our place as they always seem to make us at theirs.
May the best team win, but may that team be Derby, please!

    Horrible game.
Just nothing went right. Bradley was so poor today,  won't be missed on that showing.
No intensity,  no guile... I've been defensive of Warne's tactics but today there really was too much aimless hoofball.
Passing across the back 3 to wing backs who were as deep as a full back would be.. launching it when we didn't really have out and out wingers who could take advantage.  Sloppy passing.
And brain-meltingly bad ref-ing. Pathetic s**t-housing, diving, staying down etc that was appallingly handled by the ref.
Another really bad performance, similar to a few others. When we are bad,  we are abject.
Needs a massive change for the next 3 difficult games.

Thought Waghorn was pretty poor today. Washington barely touched it.
Also forgot how many terrible dead balls we took and the ridiculous amount of offsides we give away...
Hang on, I was trying to think about positives and it triggered more nightmares.
Adams was really slack with his passing, Wilson just didn't get on the ball in the right position,  Thompson reverted to energetic terrier chasing a balloon, CBT kept turning back onto his right foot.. even Cashin and Nelson were careless at times.
The only positive is that when we have been this bad, we seem able to Jekyll and Hyde it and be good again next time.
