Looking forward to this one, never  been to Anfield and should be a nice little payday for us whatever happens.
The only away grounds I usually get to in cup games are the little ones. In recent times,  Mansfield, Accrington, Northampton and Scunthorpe. I enjoyed those grounds much more than going to Old Trafford when  Rowett was manager. I was expecting a fantastic atmosphere from the Man U fans but I found it to be completely soulless. It was really quiet for most of the time. They only started cheering when they scored, hope it’s better at Liverpool.

Thank you B4, it was my brother who was being seen to by paramedics. A flare landed next to us and another DCFC fan tried to put it out by stamping on it,  but by doing that he actually just stamped the blast into by brothers ankle which was like a small explosive landing on it. He didn’t have breathing problems, the paramedics were giving him gas and air for the pain. It was feared that his ankle was fractured but after a trip to hospital he was told it was just badly bruised and swollen thankfully. I just thought I’d let you know that he’s fine now. It was just a bit of a sour note on which was a brilliant day out!
it was nice to have met you, you’re a Derby legend!

Thank you, appreciate the messages, day to recover now then we go away for 2 weeks where I'm not planning on reading any kind of social media.
Once I'm back to reality I'll respond to all PM's, mentions, forum issues and even the mod room.
Apologies I've been awol, It's been a stressful time as the venue changed ownership and some of what was planned went tits up, even down to this mornings private breakfast, waited until 10.30am for my sausage!
With the takeover, relegation being confirmed, took myself mostly offline for my own mental health.
Was an amazing day, topped off by seeing @Boycie showing us his moves on the dance floor at the end of the night.

What a bonkers season we’ve just had, but so many great memories. We were on a big family break in September in Bournemouth when we had the administration news and we’re devastated.  Saturday afternoon a group of us were on the beach watching the scores come in then  seeing that we’d beat Stoke  we all were cheering like mad, everyone around us staring at us like we were nuts!
Beating Bournemouth, great match, Bieliks goal shutting up the brummies, Curtis rising up for the Reading goal, Curtis just being Curtis, Sibleys late winner , Ravel finding a home, all the youngsters who have stepped up and became men.
Beating Fulham, incredible atmosphere, the March before the Birmingham game, the team and fans camaraderie, Rooneys pride and dignity despite everything that’s been chucked at him, and finally Blackpool away, what an emotional final away day in this league for a short while, I’ll never forget it.
Let’s make it one more good one on Saturday and end on a high!

It has to be the march.
So many people, even those that work in football - be it pundits, players, directors, whatever - *think* they know what a football team means to it's community. Its only when you experience something like that day that you really feel it.
Young, old, men, women, black, white, and anything in between, all coming together because of perhaps the only thing that they share in common. There was no trouble, in spite of the strength of feeling.
It was a credit to Derby County Football Club, and long may it continue.

It’s very difficult to pinpoint one moment. There have been quite a few as fellow posters have eloquently reminded us. However, there was a very transcendental 12 minutes or so away at Huddersfield. We were I think 1-0 down in a packed away end; 2nd half when the Allez Allez chant went up & continued in a mesmerising 12 minutes {I timed it from the scoreboard clock}. It was continuous and loud and defiant and although 12 minutes doesn’t sound much, it felt timeless at the time. Chris Coles remarked about on Radio the following night - it was almost as if in that 12 minutes the Derby fans came together into a higher group consciousness and have stayed together ever since.

Was just thinking about this. What a season.
Bielik’s goal was special - the emotion of the day, the tosspots in the away end, the lateness of the goal. What a celebration that was.
Lawrence’s goals against Sheff Utd on another difficult day - sheer class.
The atmosphere at the Fulham game. Defiance, belief.
    Sibley’s late winner against P’Boro.
Fozzy wiping the ball on the towel was class.
I have enjoyed this season more than any in a very long time. The fans, players and management have been superb. A proper bond that will be difficult to maintain or replicate but hopefully we will. I love this football club.

Coming around the corner at The Cockpitt, or whatever that junction is called nowadays, and looking up over the flyover...

Brought a tear to my eye.
No photo will ever give justice to that mental image I have etched on the top shelf of my memory bank.

I'm pretty sure there'll be a special moment or two next Saturday to throw into the mix as well.
For me, currently it has to be Bielik's equaliser vs Brum. Absolute scenes all round when that went in. If he isn't here next season, he will always be remembered for that goal. No other moment could have better summed up the 'Fight to the end' spirit.
