Oh my goodness, what a response!
Hello everyone, I’m Claire, Daniel’s (B4) sister. I am overwhelmed by your kind words, support, and the memories you have shared.  Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have all shown to Daniel over the years. My parents are working their way through all of the posts and will offer their own thanks in due course.
I wish I knew about the scraves, flanges and ballions before now. I wouldn’t have let Daniel live that down at home. This made my husband and I laugh this morning.
I will be wearing Daniel’s shirt and keeping his seat warm at the Bristol match. Really looking forward to hearing a big cheer and round of applause in the 38th minute, a goal at the time would be perfect!  Do please continue to share the picture with details of the applause. Let’s raise the roof for Daniel!!!
    Thank you all again ❤️

Properly get pelters for this as 80% seem to have made their mind up over Warne, but anyone else just had enough with the constant negativity towards the players and staff? It’s relentless.
Even after last nights win I’m seeing people try and twist it negatively, overall last night we played faster tempo had chances and won end off, so why the negativity?
Warnes come out and said last night about blocking outside noise out, really think knocking them will help? It’ll only make it worse, 5 in 11 for Collins decent return, what’s booing him and giving him stick going to do? Why can’t we get behind them? We’re in league 1 we won’t have world beaters that will do everything so perfectly.

1 defeat in 10 due to some terrible refereeing it’s not anywhere near as bad as people are making out, it’s as if we’ve won 1 in 10.
I can be as negative as anyone and as annoyed as anyone when we drop points etc but it’s the bigger picture move on we go again, It’s not an easy league like people expect, Sunderland sheff united Ipswich Bolton etc all got stuck for time, and probably only Bolton started in a worse rebuild situation as us…
it’s absolutely draining all the constant ‘get him gone’ ‘whose next’ ‘he’s just a P.E teacher’ I’ve missed 1 away game and 1 home and it’s honestly making me not want to go, Blackpool people singing ‘warne your football is sh*t’ then 5 minutes later singing his name, honestly think if people stop over reacting and seemingly wanting Warne to fail we could get out of this league this year. Rant over roll on the draining stick that’ll come…

Not arguing that our style of play is pleasing on the eye currently - its not, but on the other hand only 4 teams have scored more goals per game than us - one (Bolton) by 1 goal and a second (Barnsley) who manged 7 against Port Vale in the opening game of the season.
Not defending the home performances by any means but we have to face up to reality in that stability is essential - even if frustrating. A lot of the almost catastrophic mess that DCFC was faced with was down to the appointment of a succession of average managers and the subsequent "investment" in over priced players leading to a largely worthless and wholly disjointed squad. I've had 50 years of frustration so if we have to wait slightly longer, rather than risk going back to where we were 18 months ago then so be it - our day will come!!

Thought the Plymouth fans, or at least the 9 or so that I has the displeasure of meeting in the South Car Park were a total disgrace - first set of fans for many years that have wanted to kick off against a mid 50's guy, wife, daughter and son who simply want to go and watch a football match. Let's stop calling fans who travel in large numbers "good supporters" - certainly wasn't the case yesterday.
As for policing, virtually non-existent!! How difficult is it to work out the need for a police presence at the back of the South stand towards the velodrome?

I can’t be bothered to go today. Or anymore for that matter. Football is lost to me.
We anxiously wait for some rich person to bail us out. These person/persons have a plan involving making money. But no interest in Derby. At least Mel had a dream. He followed it and so did we. We could have made it. But didn’t.
But make what exactly? Joining a league of Rich men’s playthings.

Billionaires are queuing up to buy Chelsea. Sky are more interested in a subscription from someone in South Korea than a season ticket holder in Southampton.
It not our game anymore, where just there for the sound effects.
    Football sucks.

Taken from Annual Report - surely DCFC fall into all 3 objectives. This is more relevant than the “national picture” (most aren’t giving / won’t give any thought to Derby) - people of Derby need to demand immediate, REAL, action from their City Council (not just a couple of signs!!)

“The Council's delivery plan has the following themes:

A city with big ambitions - where the focus is on culture, economy, regeneration, skills and transport.

A city of health and happiness - where the focus is on children and adults, health and wellbeing, housing, leisure and neighbourhoods.

A council focussed on the things that matter - where the focus is on delivering for Derby, engaged, modern and efficient and value for money.”

I would like to think that the council would agree a loan to the club if needed to keep our club alive. Afterall it's a fundamental part of our community in Derby and the club brings a large amount of revenue to the city.
Could those of us who live in Derby perhaps write a letter to the City Council to ask/request  this.

I know that we shouldn't care so much, but genuinely believe that the EFL, Steve Gibson et al. may well be playing with people's lives now. Unlike many I don't blame either for the mess than DCFC are in - that's down solely to Mel Morris BUT the aforementioned will I fear, by their actions cause severe problems to many, even to the point of the worst conceivable outcome.
Yes its only football but to many thousands its their life.
To those that harbour such feelings seek help and support from those you trust.
To those of you who have it within your gift to prevent real human suffering, (if any of you are reading this, which you won't be!!) think about the consequences of your greed and act accordingly!!

Let this sink in Gibson, Mind is a chosen charity for the EFL and it's member clubs.
You could be pushing a lot of Derby fans towards dark days with your vindictive actions, many might well need the MIND charity for support thanks to you.

“27th Chairman of Middlesbrough F.C. Stephen Gibson OBE (born 9 January 1958) is a British entrepreneur and the chairman and owner of Middlesbrough Football Club. In May 2020, he was listed 481st on the Sunday Times Rich List, with a net worth of £270 million.”

Mr Gibson, you, directly as a consequence of your actions will be responsible for loss of life, not only the loss of livelihood (although that is bad enough) but the loss of LIFE!! Not one DCFC supporter deserves this and neither do the families (wives, husbands, kids...) who will be left behind - is this what you intended when you started your utterly ridiculous campaign for vengeance (for what I still cannot fathom out?) - because it’s what you’ll have on your conscience (if you have one) for the rest of your very comfortable existence.

This is not an over dramatic, knee jerk reaction from a star-struck fan (I’m a mid 50’s, highly qualified professional) and neither is it a plea to allow DCFC to weasel out of the mess that its previous controllers (Morris and Pearce) have driven it to, but rather it’s reality - it’s what will happen, once, twice, 10 times or more, I don’t know but it WILL happen.

If you feel you have a genuine claim (very doubtful in my view) pursue it against the aforementioned through the courts but don’t hold the innocent, powerless and some vulnerable to mental health ransom.
Like all reasonable football fans I beseech you to do the right thing.
