I'm usually glass half full. I don't like to see managers sacked. It'll take a string of poor results for me to decide he has to go. It hasn't got that bad yet but it's simply not good enough.

Personal opinion is that Ed Dawes is exactly how I’d be as a commentator because I’m a fan and in the moment my head is often led by my heart/my emotions. 
 
Think he doesn’t deserve half the criticism he gets from here and actually bbc radio derby have managed to spoil us in terms of the quality we’ve had at local level. 
 
Again he was pushing for the hard answers and working behind the scenes to find out what was going wrong whilst many other fans were sucking up to Kirchner because we were desperate. He didn’t let that desperation stop him getting to the bottom of Kirchner’s bollox.

He’s not been on Radio Derby all week and he won’t have been on holiday because his partner, Sally Pepper , has been doing her show this week. She is being made redundant in 3 weeks as part of BBC local radio cut backs and I imagine Ed Dawes is not too impressed.

Again. If Derby did decide to get another manager in, we would be in the same position we were in this time last year.
New manager who will have his own style, someone else's team who the new manager would have to work with, decide who fits his style and who doesn't. 
A January window with no/limited funds.
He will then build his team from summer, probably have a slow start and here we will be in September 2024 with the same people calling for his blood because they are entitled to perfect football and instant success.
 
I have said it before and I will say it again, it is the constant changing of managers that has partially gone towards the situation we find ourselves in.

That’s what I’m starting to think.  I always like to give a manager time and we’re in a position of huge change and recovering from admin will take years, which was alluded to on Tuesday.  But I can appreciate others views.
I think there are two big periods coming up for Warne between the next 2 international breaks in October & November - I think we will have a break.  In the last break I said he has to get around 10 points to mid October.  After the 2nd break, if we’re not in or on the edges of the play-offs I could understand a change being made.  At that point a new manager would have 6 weeks or so to work with the squad and identify options for the January window.  Personally, I’d still stick with him.
Who would we have?  Well, that’s where I think Clowes and team need to set the strategy.  If it’s promotion at all cost, then you need a Warnock type.  If it’s rebuild the club and be involved from top to bottom, then it’s a Nigel Clough type.

If he wants to go then he's as good as gone, that's no "boo hoo poor us", that's just reality and absolutely no ill feeling towards the player himself. This is unfortunately what you're up against when you ply your trade in the 3rd tier. There is nothing we can do to compete with what Brighton can offer and the remaining contract situation is going to seriously impact what we can get for him but we just have to get what we can.

There are a lot of managers who sign players they have worked with before. Warnock is one example. If any of these ex-Rotherham players were part of their promotion teams what is wrong with signing them. Are we not looking for promotion from the same division. Makes perfect sense to me.
But, of course, some are looking for any old excuse for a stick to beat Warne with.

It does suit their agenda though. Don’t you think it’s hilarious when someone makes a comment about Rotherham? No, me neither….Whatever the title of the thread , there’s someone ready to make the side-splitting Rotherham reference. It wasn’t particularly funny first time and certainly not 10/20/30 times later. However, I suspect that won’t stop it. 

With the greatest respect I can’t agree. Yes, it needs a few additions but the base of a good squad is there.
