@BoroWill- the reason your owner is seen as the villain of the piece is because he is.  Not because of his views of Mel Morris and not because of his previous views and comments of our club's profligate spending - you will find many/most Rams fans (no doubt some late to the party) who agree with him on both counts - but because he is and has been for many months deliberately making it impossible for us to move to new ownership without us slugging him a considerable amount of money (anything between £7m and £45m) for a perceived competitive gain, when even your own fans believe that your failure to gain a play off place that season was largely down to Pulis and a sporting/player/results failure on your part.
We have been roundly punished by the EFL's processes for our financial splurge; we have spent the vast majority of the last 3/4 seasons under a transfer embargo; we've had 9 players leave this transfer window alone, most against their will; we're down to the bare bones from a squad perspective; we're likely to get relegated despite the fantastic effort that the players are putting in to avoid that happening.  Is not all that and more, punishment enough?
Yet, for your owner, this is personal.  He doesn't care that the club, our club, is suffering, that good people are out of work, that a fan base is suffering. The proof of that is that he is continuing with a claim that is at its very, very best, purely speculative.  If he relaxed his claim we could, probably, get new owners in place, sort out creditors, be relegated and under EFL control for two more years but at least move on.  He won't let us because he doesn't like Mel Morris and wants to see Mel Morris suffer. And that is it pure and simple, and that is why he is, whatever your protestations to the contrary, the villain of this piece.  It's time for him to show some leadership, move on and concentrate on his own club.

On RD last night an ex solicitor was categoric in saying that the MFC/WWFC claims ,which are against DCFC as a club, could not be dealt with at the High Court because it would have to be our club contesting the claim , an individual club director cannot be sued in these circumstances. Later in the programme, a current solicitor phoned in and effectively said there is no problem , what MM is offering is to indemnify DCFC should the claim go against it. Richard Kramer, a partner at Front Row Legal, specialist sports solicitors ,was interviewed by Radio Derby this morning. He confirmed the view of the first solicitor and stated that the claims would have to be settled by arbitration. Having reread MM’s statement, it doesn’t seem to me that it represents an offer to indemnify the club, it merely invites MFC/WWFC to seek recourse against him personally  through the High Court. So, assuming arbitration is the only way to go, does anyone know if  arbitration has actually commenced? Richard Kramer’s view is that the result of arbitration will be that an award will be made to MFC/WWFC but would be nowhere near the amounts being claimed and would be a small sweetener so that all three clubs could claim victory. The way things are, I would take that outcome

Please don’t suggest I don’t care about it
if you seriously think the EFl are supporting Gibson then you can’t see what is playing out in front of your eyes. Despite a mountain of evidence.

There’s no harm pillorying the EFl with emails, in fact it all helps. As do protests in Derby against EFl and Boro and the rest. But you get a load of Derby fans outside EFl House and you risk events spiralling out of control in a very bad way, which will attract more press attention that all of our efforts to date. And will bring shame on us all and damage the club that I love just as much as you

Unless I have misread the above, the arbitration panel will pass judgement on both the merit of the claims and the issue of whether Middlesbrough and Wycombe would be football creditors. There will be no appeal but the case can go legal if either side are unhappy with the judgement.

I seriously believe that you have missed the point here, the EFL are victims of a malicious targeted attack from Derby fans that are jeopardising the clubs future by antagonising them.
You can twist it how you like, but how would they know what was in the accounts we submitted, they can't be expected to read them, 72 clubs worth of accounts.
What we did was dirty and underhand, we've been caught out and now must accept the punishment coming our way.

Yes, "flush out" our own supporters and let Gibson finish us off in peace.
Perhaps we should have another thread and "flush out" the "weasels" being so rude about to the EFL and our dear uncle Mel.
Our fans are suffering. Spending money, week after week, to support us in a rendered non-competitive state, even buying up tickets for games that we may never get to play. And other Derby 'fans' want to call them the worst enemy.
    Pathetic thread.
Outside of Derbyshire and DCFC fans around the world, nobody really cares about the survival of Derby County.
Our fans are keeping us going, not our worst enemy.

That is why the daily news thread was set up. Only key articles, posts etc are on there with no comments allowed. So yesterday I kept off here much of the day and checked that first in the evening before wading into the other threads. Its great

This is all just a bit of finger pointing and posturing before they get their heads banged together by an independent mediator and a solution found. Seen it so many times before.
EFL typically in self preservation mode, Gibson having a bit of a rant and Admin putting the ball in EFL court.
Time to end the party, get the grown ups involved and save DCFC

Sat here in bits again. My dad is really really ill and his bad days seem to coincide with bad news Derby days. He is Derby through and through and I'm not sure he understands or is aware of the off the field stuff now but I know later watching those goals on Quest with him how he will light up as little else makes him do now. That is why we have to save our club. It is not about amortisation, stadium sales, law suits, points deductions, etc. it is about watching those goals with my dementia-ridden dad and seeing his happiness for a few minutes later knowing we're off the bottom. The wonder of dementia is he will have forgotten tomorrow so we can do it all again several times. So duck the EFL, Morris, Gibson and the nobody chancer from Wycombe. We are better people than all of you and how dare you threaten the existence of our Derby family.

Mate. You must be trolling with these comments (you’ve made a few, but I just grabbed this one).

The information available to us points to the EFL being the one holding things up.

You keep saying they haven’t added anything, or they are just following the rules. That they aren’t stopping the admins from accepting a bid.

But those are precisely the things that have happened- as proven by the Admins  statement today (and honestly been backed up by the actions/words of Rooney and such).

The statement by the Admins. Rooneys comments about things almost finalized, and moving to re-sign and find new players.  Even ole Alan Nixon said the EFLs position appears to be extreme.

I don’t understand how you could think the EFL are just hands tied innocent (as your posts seem to suggest) in this situation.

If Appleby, Moxey and Rush’s company are successful in acquiring the club on behalf of their backer, unless I’m missing something none of them would be involved in running the club when post-purchase. They are “fixers” putting clubs in touch with credible buyers using their extensive knowledge of running football clubs and sports franchises to find the right people.
This would be a new era not linked at all to GSE so we simply don’t know what the new owner will do or what his/her intentions are.

Usual suspects interpreting information in the minutes on a timeline slip to Feb as impending doom and certain liquidation. While it isn’t great it’s certainly nowhere near that bleak. If it was we would be hearing about it now, the administrators would be preparing us for January fire sale, concerns about seeing out the season. Nothing of the sort has been mentioned. Remain confident and there are three buyers still involved who will be aware of all the skeletons. It’s a deal that’s either been made more complex by the parasitic claims of Boro and Wycombe, or as others have eluded to the administrators are using it to string out the process to earn more money for Quantuma.
As for the timing of the deal, as long as with preferred bidder in place we can avoid January sales that is a reasonable outcome. The embargo means we can do minimal business anyway and let’s face it most of us  have accepted we’re in League 1 next season. Just need to get to the summer with squad intact for most part and a new owner to at least get something resembling market value for those players we need to sell, and give us a chance to put a competitive league one side together.

We're not 'dancing to their tune'. They are a minor factor in these negotiations because their claims are clearly unlikely to succeed in a civil law court. They are chancing their arm whilst we are resolving issues under administration...otherwise why didnt they make their claim whilst Morris was in charge or post sale? Derby going under wouldnt help them in anyway, they're just parasites trying to getting a free feed.
The biggest issues are getting credible potential buyers, coming to an agreement with HMRC & agreeing in principle the sale of PP. From Jim's notes, looks like substanial progress been made with all.
Can't be confident on timing but am confident we will end the season under stable ownership.

Three bids on the table despite the position with HMRC. One of the bids involves Gadsby - like him or loathe him won’t let club go to the wall. Yet seen comments that we’re miles away from a takeover and it looks like liquidation. Honestly some people - get a grip! There is nothing in Jim’s post that Indicates they won’t name a preferred bidder next week and if things were so negative then why would they tell the whole squad and staff what’s happening as Rooney confirmed the other day?! Previous comms has just been with Rooney.

Honestly think people just see what they want to see rather than take what is said.
