That's a fair point, in all honesty.
I'm sure many... if not all... of us would have been the same at that age.  I could probably still name the two teams for each FA cup final over a decade back in the day.
At least recognising and appreciating the top players throughout my teens was certainly a thing.
Maybe it's not football that's changing as much as we may think it is?  Maybe it's us fans that are changing (through age, I guess)?   🤷‍♂️

Hello everyone, I’m Claire, Daniel’s (B4) sister. I am overwhelmed by your kind words, support, and the memories you have shared.  Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have all shown to Daniel over the years. My parents are working their way through all of the posts and will offer their own thanks in due course.
I wish I knew about the scraves, flanges and ballions before now. I wouldn’t have let Daniel live that down at home. This made my husband and I laugh this morning.
I will be wearing Daniel’s shirt and keeping his seat warm at the Bristol match. Really looking forward to hearing a big cheer and round of applause in the 38th minute, a goal at the time would be perfect!  Do please continue to share the picture with details of the applause. Let’s raise the roof for Daniel!!!

Bringing the B4 positivity… 
Ive only been to two matches (recently) in the last 10+ years but Collins is the player that has stood out for me. Five goals in the two matches out of the three matches in the last week isn’t bad going.

The turtle post was my doing 😝 Daniel left his phone lying around unlocked so I started posting facts about turtles on his Facebook for my own amusement. After about of month of this, someone Dan worked with gave a small stuffed turtle because she thought he liked them so much 😂  That Christmas every present I gave Dan had turtles on them 🤣🤣🤣

Rivalry and banter aside...So sorry to hear this. B4 was a true fan who wore his heart on his sleeve.
Sending our condolences to his family and all his friends and those that knew him on here too.
You're all in our thoughts during this sad time.

I have been viewing the DCFC rams forum for around 10 years. I have never needed to open a account, as I only care about checking what my fellow Rams family have to say, until now………
B4 - I have finally registered to this fine forum to pay tribute to you. I have met you a few times at away matches and have always revelled in the hundreds of posts that you wrote. You were an absolute inspiration and beacon of positivity, thank you for always improving my mood. I hope you find the best fish and chip shop up there pal.
I also hope you can sprinkle some magic for the remainder of the season to see us to promotion, nobody deserves this more than you my friend. 🐏

I still have the PM he sent me inviting me to chat with him if I needed to when my mother passed away. This news has upset me nearly as much as that sad day two years ago.

What truly terrible news. Just loved his total dedication and positivity. He made me laugh so much with his total non-acceptance of any reason not to be at a match. I’ll say this here as don’t think it’ll go over well on the main parts of the forum at the minute (and tbh I can’t be bothered with ‘debates’ atm. But there’s something to be said about the club being patient and seeing what the lay of the land will be in the next few seasons. That’s not to say ‘don’t get in the champ’ but I do think we are at the very start of a huge rebuild and our fans do need to realise where we are and it’s going to take time.
