Why not spend an hour or so talking to your daughter about dedication, unwavering loyalty, sacrifice and leadership. Grown up stuff, she might like it and learn something.
Truly shocking the wining self entitled rubbish being spouted. It is a weekends football in respect of someone who has served this country for so long through war and peace, good and bad. Get a frigging grip!
And don't bother with any replies or silly likes or dislikes as I will sign out and leave you all to your petty moaning.

The Queen was Patron of the FA.  This makes football a bit different from other sports and will be one of reasons for a widespread cancellation as a mark of respect.

I remember when Diana died everything (including football) was cancelled for ages - which seemed totally ridiculous. It would be absurd not to do likewise for the longest-reigning monarch in the history of England and the United Kingdom. I'm an ambivalent Republican but she was a fantastic Queen if we were going to have one, and as a nation it's important we mark this moment and the transition. It's what Britain does well and the world expects of us. Me and Mrs Sagan went to Buckingham Palace last night and are at the memorial service in St Paul's this evening.

Part of any due diligence on purchasing a football club is a wonderful 'return model' which looks at the year on year likely return or loss on investment.
They tend to be done over ten years with each 12 months modelled on a range of possible scenarios such as likely cost base, probability of promotion/relegation, fan base, media and social media exposure, merchandise, sponsorship and a whole load of other factors. It creates a 5 level optimistic to covid levels of pessimistic wrist slashing estimates of possible return (loss). They are works of art but ultimately works of crystal ball gazing.
I have seen a few and fair to say never seen one that would make me part with my own cash! The factor that counts for these owners is ego, passion, romance and to cure boredom of their existing lives.
That said Derby County FC is as good a bet to recover investment as any (a million maybe billion miles better than say Chelsea). It will rise again and has a fan base and potential for future income as good as any football club that has been sold over the past few years. Factor in the satisfaction factor, the romance and passion around saving a founder member then being the current owner of DCFC must feel good. I doubt any football club outside of the top 5 in the world has ever been purchased with an expectation of getting money back (save for the odd tax write off lol).

Sorry if this has already been suggested but why can't the club do an initial 3 month season ticket for renewals until the dd option is resolved? Allows fans to secure previously help seats at lower initial cost then buy the balance on dd later in the year?

I also thought it was part of the 2 year business plan.
And totally agree, we shouldn't be allowed to spend anything on transfers tbh, we may be "debt free" but there are loads of local businesses that have taken the hit and lost tens of thousands of pounds..... it's obscene to then spend anything significant on transfers whilst they have lost out.
Trawl the freebies, maybe the odd loan, try not to pay agents fees and keep wages to a minimum, it's the moral thing to do at the very least.
We proved last year we don't need to spend on transfer fees or big wages.

There will be a sufficieny in relation to the initial takeover and separate to that a sufficieny test around the ongoing funding of the club. That bit is bound to be harder to assess given the various ground scenarios and the fact it will be based on assumptions rather than just checking existing facts such as if CK has the money to do the initial deal.

My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.
