For those saying that we should walk this league, how many other 'big' clubs have been in lg1 and straight away walked the league. The dirties, red dogs, Sunderland, Sheff Wed and Ipswich have all struggled to get back into the Championship and none of them have had to start from ground zero and work under severe restrictions like Derby.

This punishment of Everton shows up a massive flaw in the Premier League's rules.
They have given Everton a 10 point penalty for making too high losses, but they welcome with open arms the likes of QPR, Villa, Bournemouth, etc, who all made illegal losses in the championship, in order to gain promotion to the Premier. Why aren't these clubs hit with points penalties either in the Premier or on return to the Championship?

Yes there are 2 types of yellow cards when thinking about substitutions which is what we're discussing.
No1 player commits a deliberate foul to prevent a dangerous attack building up, he's fully in control of his actions by assessing the situation is worth getting a yellow card for and because his actions are so measured, he's unlikely to risk another card.
No2 player lungs through the back of a defender who is facing his own corner flag about 10 yards away and relieves the pressure on the defending team by giving the foul away and getting a card. He has shown that he is out of control in a non stressful situation.
Question: 2 players both on a yellow card, which would you substitute?
Unquestionably, Sibo is one of the most talented players at our club and can comfortably score with either foot, but you have to make judgement calls how players are playing on the day and whether they're likely to change the game, when you take them off. Many times over the years, I seen our star players having an awful game and need to be pulled off, quite often the managers haven't been brave enough to do it. It seems that all managers have their favourites, who are rarely substituted or dropped. Sometimes, it's quite amusing when a sub is waiting to come on to replace a player, then that player scores and the manager has to change his mind.

Assuming your constant refusal to say that you have actually watched the game, you can't possibly compare the cards issued for Wilson and Sibo. Also, you can't be in a position to comment on the decision to substitute a particular player, as you don't even know how he has played, he could be Messi but if he's having a rubbish game, he needs to be pulled off.
It appears that you're just having a go at Warne, in this particular instance, simply because you have an agenda against him. He's made plenty of mistakes for you to criticise, without you making up reasons.

Maybe someone can adjust the number 8 before it's fixed to the shirt, by cutting vertically on the left hand side of the 8 and taking out the upper and lower bulges. You'd be left with a vertical straight edge on the left side. Maybe someone could go to the club shop with a pair of scissors and do it for them, if they can't do it?

This is another anti-Warne diatribe, what do you base your latest criticism of him on?
Is it his choice to substitute a player who although set up our goal, maybe didn't do enough otherwise, in Warne's opinion? Did you watch the whole game or did you base this player's performance on one contribution, that you'd heard about?
If you watched the whole game and felt that the player was unfairly 'pulled off', fair enough.
I refuse to criticise players publicly but, personally, I understood the substitution in in this instance, having suffered watching the whole game.

Looking at the method adopted by the academy teams this season, it is promising, good to watch and is compatible with the development of young professionals making their way in the game. The adopted style should make DCFC an attractive proposition for academy players moving from other clubs. I think that most would agree that over the past year the academy has gained momentum again. In terms of the number of coaches and support staff employed in the academy, it is a very significant investment. All academy clubs adhere to a common brand of football adopted by all teams within the club; it would not be sensible or efficient for there to be a conflict. Paul Warne would, I hope, be expected to buy in to the overall philosophy and align the first team's style to meet the overall aims of the club. This is a case of all of the coaches working together for the greater good. Paul Warne seems very open to the benefits of education and I hope he sees and makes full use of what is happening in the academy; this is a very new experience for him in comparison with what he's had before. Only time will tell us the outcome but this is the DCFC corporate football project not the Paul Warne show. I think he is clever enough to see that.

I very rarely comment on here. I very rarely view here in fact, I don’t know why… perhaps it can be just a little depressing here at times. Maybe I’m too much Mr. Grumpy. But I saw the news on Twitter on Sunday and immediately looked for this thread. And reading all the tributes really made cry, because whether we posted here 10 times per day, or 10 times per decade, we still all knew of B4. I wasn’t even going to comment, but gosh, sometimes a person you didn’t even know really gets to you. Sometimes you just see the person you wish you could be, and I know that B4 was the first to commiserate when any other forum member had a loss, so I just wanted to join the chorus of forum members in thanking B4 for his wonderful contributions, his passion, his positivity, and his brilliant outlook on life. He has contributed to DCFC life in a way that few of us fans ever will. B4, you will be sorely missed by many many people. Rest well.

ram59 got a reaction from BucksRam in TV Repeatedly Apologising For Bad Language At Live Football Matches
I am getting fed up with TV commentators repeatedly apologising for bad language picked up on the mics at live football matches.
Normal tv programs are preceded with warnings saying that this program contains bad language, sexual scenes, violence, etc, etc. They don't have someone talking over the dialogue to apologise, every time an actor swears during a program.
It is a live sporting event, people should expect to hear swearing, as they expect to see violence in a John Wick film.
Surely one visual and audible warning preceding the match, should suffice?
