  1. At this stage of the season, you can't discount any of the top sides winning all of their remaining games, up to today Peterborough have just won 5 on the bounce and even an originally mid table Lincoln are on a great run. Mathematically, we need 6 wins out of 7, in the very unlikely event that one of the 3 chasers wins all their games. Even a great run losing or drawing 1 game, will mean that 5 wins would be enough.
  2. At the match, I thought that Gayle cleverly want across the chasing player, instigating the contact. But, I agree, after watching the replay, the defender does reach out to try and pull Gayle back, so definitely not so innocent.
  3. To quote B4, I think that he'd still be happy with the season so far.
  4. This ref is a weak ref who is easily influenced. Our away games at Plymouth and Bolton have showed this and again last night. I'm sure that he eventually, deservedly, booked one of their players because of the crowd reaction. Also, I believe that Reading's cynical attitude throughout the game, turned him against them, they have been one of the most cynical teams to have played here this season and couldn't have complained if more than one player had been sent off. Refs are only human and you can't help but be ticked off when you see a team that has clearly come to spoil a game through cynical and negative tactics.
  5. A fully deserved 3 points, if a bit lucky with some questionable decisions by the officials. I thought that all of the contentious decisions were wrong from my viewpoint in the Lower East. Having said that, Hourihane and Sibley's yellows were fully justified, but their players got away with many similar fouls. Maybe the sending off was harsh, but a couple of their other players should have easily seen red. Justice served on a team, who only came to spoil and foul their way to a point.
  6. Not strictly correct, Wycombe and Wigan can afford to draw against each other and still match our current points, overtaking us on goal difference. The others aren't brought into the equation yet, let's just hope we can tick as many off the list as soon as possible.
  7. But Wycombe in 15th can overtake us.🤔
  8. Could they be season ticket holders who can't make the match offering them to the club for resale?
  9. I think that this photo shows where some of the original seats have been taken out. It looks like a strip of about 3 seats immediately to the left of the south stand Rams fans, have been removed from top to bottom. I don't know whether the same has happened in the East stand.
  10. When the away fans were in the south stand, there was only one line of segregation, now there are 2. Also if you look at the areas of segregation, not only are some seats blanked off, some of the original seats have been actually removed, so we have fewer actual seats in the ground compared with a few years ago.
  11. That aged well, they're not the worst team we've ever played in a league match now, surely Bristol Rovers have now taken over that mantel.................................until the next team we beat?
  12. The big problem for us was that we were put into administration by MM, which made us vulnerable to blackmail by the likes of the Efl and Gibson, they were able to take their actions by threatening the very existence of the club by holding up the sale. To be fair regarding the amortisation charge, it would have eventually caught up with us in later years anyway, unless they coincided with the relaxations because of covid.
  13. Did anyone else see the brilliant 'hand of god' save by the Albion defender on the line? It happened so fast in real time that I and many others thought that it was a brilliant save by the keeper, even when the tv analysed the incident after the game, it showed that only one QPR player making a half hearted appeal and even though it was right in front of the QPR fans who were right on top of the pitch, they didn't seem to notice. It could prove to be a decision that sends QPR down.
  14. I didn't watch the game, but the match stats when Barnsley went 2 up were pretty one sided. I agree regarding that they're nothing special, but they've been having the luck this season and sometimes lady luck is an important factor in a close run thing.
  15. Hopefully, this will dent Barnsley's confidence a little. Lately, everything has been going their way, but tonight they were 2 up and cruising, then fell back to earth. Every Barnsley fan and player will be feeling gutted atm.
  16. But if we could win our next 3, we're guaranteed to be back there.
  17. How did Bolton not score there?
  18. Not necessarily, only time will tell. A draw allows Barnsley one more possible point than us, but a defeat puts us level with them, with us currently been ahead on goal difference. A Bolton win also allows Bolton to finish on the same points as Derby, assuming Derby win their match between Bolton, with us being ahead on goal difference. Barnsley being on a better run at the moment, also need to be pulled back, whereas Bolton even with a good victory behind them, have got some challenging games to finish off the season.
  19. Are we likely to want to continue to go ahead with the Northampton game if possible, rather than have to squeeze in an unnecessary midweek match before the end of the season? NML is staying, Washington and Nyambe probably won't be fit anyway. However, Collins and Fozzy will likely have recovered for any rearranged game.
  20. Hopefully, we've got 4 key players to add to the mix in the next couple of weeks, Gayle getting up to speed, CBT likewise, with Fozzy and Waggy returning. All good players who should add something to the squad.
  21. As good as the shot was for their first goal, there was a great deal of good fortune about it. The ball could have gone anywhere after Adams tackle, but it went straight to their player. Likewise, Cashin's header could have deflected a couple of degrees left or right, gone a few feet more or less, but it happened to sit up perfectly for their goalscorer. If somebody had tossed the ball to him from a few feet away, he couldn't have had it any easier. Barnsley appear to be having the rub of the green atm.
  22. Does anyone know how much the extra charges are for paying using the 10 month package?
  23. With the new tv deal, there will be only 7x 3pm games in the championship and a total of 19 games out of 24 in Lg1 and Lg2 combined. Whichever league we're in, there will be quite a few none 3pm matches.
  24. Barnsley have a much easier run in than Bolton and seem to be having some good fortune this season.
