  1. Thank goodness then that we aren't giving out any long contracts anymore.
  2. If Warne gets us to Championship mid-table I will eat a small slice of Humble Pie too.
  3. Jesus, another Liam Rosenior thread.
  4. 548 posts in 12 years? You are the minority.
  5. Anyone who disagrees with me is very irritating. Although not quite as irritating as listening to a Paul Warne pre-match monologue.
  6. You seem to not understand the concept of a forum. You might want to consider changing your name to On the Same Page the amount of times you bang on of your appreciation of all things Paul Warne.
  7. Good win. Thought tonight might be tricky, but seems like we scored 3 nice goals. Come on you Rams!!!
  8. Good side. Based on what I have read recently I would have liked Thompson in for energy rather than Hourihane; the latter would be a good sub in the last 25 minutes. Good to see that CBT is getting another opportunity; Warne clearly wanted him, so play him. Down to the players now. Warne has done his job. Hopefully he doesn’t intend to bypass midfield, and we play some football. Will check in around 10 for the fun and games. Off to a gig in Brighton tonight.
  9. It will be a tough game Archie. I think sensible posters understand that Exeter are likely to give us a good game at their patch. I think I would begrudgingly settle for a point, but coming after Saturday's poor return a point isn't really enough. We need another Charlton performance. Hopefully Warne will get his team shape right, so that we have a strong first half this time out.
  10. Enjoy the game Jourdan. I hope to read on here later that we played the Grecians off the park with some liquid football. Up the Rams!
  11. Well you support my point. You say we are all shouting for Liam, and you give one example from what, 2 weeks ago. And S8TY wasnt asking for him back. He just said in hindsight he should have been given more time. Not sure why you are looking for an apology either. You seem to be coming over as a bit of a t*****.
  12. Nice Strawman finish there. We are all shouting for Liam are we? I can’t remember the last time I read a forum member calling for him to come back. Actually might you find it for me?
  13. You are taking a quote after stripping most of the context away (I was challenging Foreveram who seemed happy with a point because there was no movement in our league position). You can never guarantee any result in football but there are games which should be easy compared with others. Yesterday was a game I would call easy. 15 away games this season, and the Shrews had won 3, drawn 2, scoring a magnificent 6 goals on their travels. We should have been at them from the start, but no Warne picks a team with 3 central defenders, and only two forwards. And we decide pre-match to telegraph to the other side we are not going to take them on in midfield. Bonkers. I agree that the next match is a difficult game.
  14. The only bit of that which is good will be if we are second in the table at the end of the season. We had an easy game yesterday. We got a point. Bolton had a tricky away game, and played a lot of it with 10 men. They got a point. It was a better day for Pompey and Bolton than it was us yesterday.
  15. Sorry to read this Rev. I have been like it for months. Can’t be arsed to pay a tenner to watch the tripe being served up; the 3 or 4 games I have actually seen since Stevenage on TV have all been underwhelming. I still enjoy this forum, and find it far more entertaining to follow than actually watching the games. Logged on at 2 to see @Caerphilly Ram put the team news up, posted a few things, and decided with a 3 at the back not to hang around and simply checked the score at half time and full time. Flicking through here tonight I read that again we played poorly. It was of course always going to be a difficult game, with Warne letting us know on Thursday that Shrewsbury had such a good midfield that we couldn’t try to go through them, just over and round them. The bloke is an absolute clown, and it continues to be my view that he is holding us back. No surprise that game management was a problem again in the final few minutes.
  16. Would be fitting to give him the no 53 shirt number.
  17. As I said to someone else above, the joke only works if you embellish a little. You need to understand that jokes only really work and can be funny if you don’t overly focus on facts or reality. For instance, you might be asked why the chicken crossed the road. Now there could be any number of amusing answers, but unless you actually know what the chicken is thinking the reality is you have no real idea why the chicken might be choosing to cross the road. Unless of course it is being chased by a fox, but that isn’t amusing either.
  18. The Notts rag reporting : Nuno seeking 'solutions' as Nottingham Forest short of options for FA Cup replay. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/nottingham-forest-injury-latest-wood-9078941 Someone should tell Nuno they have two barges full of players just off the Dorset coast. Harry Arter in particular has asked if he can stretch his legs.
  19. The tourist trade in Turkey must be booming what with the number of Gumps now over there on loan.
  20. I think the change he wanted was to play football that better suited his skills. It could have been Bristol, Blackpool, Birmingham or Brentford. One way or another he almost certainly wanted to kick on personally, and sorry everyone but Warne was not making him a better player, in fact he was making him look very average. We have lost our best player in my opinion.
  21. Ripping Yarns was Michael Palin. Not Mike Leigh.
  22. There are other gender type’s Grandad.
