I think this is close to what I would go with.
A Jiminez style centre forward and someone rapid on the right. A new goalkeeper is a given (no pun in intended).

Farcical - if the ruling was against, then again, the EFL do not have a leg to stand on.
Can you imagine a judge not liking a jury's verdict so he ask for another jury? Best of three?

I honestly thought with everything going off in the world at the minute the EFL would take a step back and realise what is important, money and how football clubs choose to spend it (providing they have it), not being all that important.
I've just seen the EFL have appealed for a 2nd time against the decision that Birmingham City are not guilty of breaching financial rules. Do they keep appealing until a guilty verdict is reached? With no consideration what this does to fans?
Apart from the fact this worries me when it comes to our charge, the timing from the EFL is woeful, imagine being a Birmingham City fan, furloughed from work, worrying about family and things far more important than football, then this final little piece of bad news, people don't need it.
The chairman of football clubs, all clubs, Derby, Boro, the lot of them, once this tails off, they need to come together and fight tooth and nail against the EFL, its time for change, for clubs to collectively agree rules that benefits the game, protects the smaller clubs and doesnt punish the bigger ones for being able to spend.
Rick Parry - your time is up our kid! (He wont ever see this will he)

Ring-fence parachute payments to make up for the losses on player sales and amortisation over the first 3 years after relegation (capped at £80m). It allows the relegated club to offload expensive players at a loss, but prevents them from spending that money on new signings.

He's right! Having played at a reasonably high level in sport,I knew the issue for me is when you start to think too much about what you are doing - rather than just doing it. Training is for thinking, improving reactions and making it second nature - game time is when it should be done automatically. There's a reason why quality players fluff their chances when they are one on one with a keeper and why horses wear blinkers - don't think or get distracted by anything, just action from instinct.

Absolutely; Johnny Wilkinson’s account of how he kicked 10 million kicks in training over his career from every possible angle and distance to ensure he had the “software” available for when he had the same kick in a game is fascinating. As too is Mike Atherton’s account of batting “in the zone” against Alan Donald when he “watched” himself score 100 on autopilot...All psychology.

Is this statement your real opinion? Seriously? The last 5 years have been the best group of 5 seasons in my life time for entertainment and competitive football.
2014 - play-off final - best football this century 2015 - top for most of the season, fell out of play-offs due to injuries at end 2016 - top at Boxing Day - play off Semis under Wassall 2017 - how many managers? bound to fail - flirted with play-offs, unable to sustain after crap start 2018 - play off semi 2019 - play off final You pick any other group of 5-6 seasons in the last 50yrs and it will be nothing like as entertaining and competitive as the group of seasons above.

What I think the lineup will be:
    Roos
    Bogle   Bielik   Davies   Malone
    Huddlestone
    Holmes  Knight
    Waggy   Martin   Pato
What lineup would make me a happy chappy:
    Roos
    Bogle   Davies   Clarke   Malone
    Bielik
    Holmes   Paterson   Waghorn
    Marriott   Martin
    - in this case we are able to change to 3-5-2 when needed.

      Waghorn                   Paterson

Would prefer a more mobile option in the midfield than Hudds, but I like three at the back if Lowe and Bogle are both fit.

They would provide great width and allow Waggy and Paterson to be a nuisance, buzzing around Chrissy.

    A few thoughts from yesterday.
It became evident earlier on in the season that with this style of play, we needed a target man. Especially with teams pressing us. Step forward Chris Martin. Not only coming from deep for his classic 14/15 flick ons, but winning the long balls as well. We are not a route one team but when teams are in the high press, it gives us that outlet. So glad he is back.
Actually thought Zoon had a great game today. Nothing stand out, but so much better from what we have seen of him this season.
Pato is much better in the number 10 role. Some lovely skill and touches at times.
Roos needs to be stronger claiming for the ball. I think he's a good keeper and played well today, but it's either confidence or strength why he's punching all the time.
Waghorn didn't have a great game, clearly got the talent but a bit short on confidence atm. Well taken goal.
Holmes had a mixed game, played well, worked hard but like Waghorn, gave the ball away too often.
Love that Curtis was back as captain, can still defend, just not the type of player to be playing it out from the back!
Lowe has been superb all season and had a great game today. Would love to see Bogle and Lowe in both full back positions.
Overall, it wasn't pretty but glad we got the win. Plenty to work on though - onwards!

I would like a box to box midfielder, someone with energy to stop us getting overrun in midfield when defending, but also help out the attack when needed.
They don't have to be an attacking midfielder as I imagine Rooney will play that role when he arrives and in terms of wingers I'd like to see us move to a system where the full backs provide most of the width.
