RadioactiveWaste reacted to DCFC1388 in EFL Verdict
The section within the IDC report regards our embargos wasnt the best read. Shows that it isnt just because of us not submitting our accounts but also due to not paying wages (which we knew about) but also not paying other clubs transfer installments & money owed to the HMRC which is where the story a while back clearly came from.
Hopefully any potential owners in talks with us is fully aware of all of this and also aware of potential revised accounts so if they're still around it means they're willing to take this on and pay those bills

Tonight's news that the EFL case has been resolved and the EFL are not going to appeal helps things move forward.
DCFC will be in the championship. This helps any potential takover.
DCFC will have to pay £100k fine and restate accounts from the years in question. And presumably can now submit accounts for the last two years (whch we haven't done) using a method acceptable to the EFL.
Submitting accounts will lift the transfer embargo (at least until and chages from the restated P&S figures are raised).
Clarity moving forward is at least on the horizon, if not here yet.

Sometimes "dont try" is, in reality, "can't try". He maybe just too broken to accomplish what Derby and himself want.

I hope we are one of the clubs who voted in favour of this. Boil a little more piss when other clubs see our name in the list.

In fairness to the plonker that is contained in the DC's words re HMRC - no date, reason or amount attached though.
My bet, fwiw, is that we didn’t pay HMRC paye when we missed the wages that month we thought the sheikh was stumping up. Might be wrong though.

Is that reliably estimating values though?
We nownhave the benefit of hindsight, knowing what our budgets for each season are. I'm sure we'll do everything we can to be as close to the limits as possible in each season, to increase our budget as much as possible for the current and future seasons ?

RadioactiveWaste reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in EFL Verdict
Had to have a look. He's quite upset. He also seems to think Derby have missed HMRC payments. Not sure how he would know that, actually he wouldn't. Reckons he's coming to Pride Park next season with his mates. Could you imagine 3 hours in a car with him and his home made banner about amortisation. Leave him to it. Blokes the very height of sadness.

Not read the entire thread or reaction to this evening’s news, so this has probably already been said, but the EFL do come out of this - from their statement - as looking particularly graceless, petty and ever so slightly childish.
Don’t suppose we’re going to get away scot free as the resubmission of the accounts will probably open a new can of worms, but at least we know what division we’ll be in, which is a tiny bit of light in otherwise pitch dark days.

Well...we know what division we are in and hopefully that will mean delayed decisions can happen now. Whether that is recruitment or takeover, it will all come out in the wash.

I had a feeling we'd be exploring a nonlinear option. It'll be interesting to see how they're 'reliably' estimating values.

That para is pretty hilarious. Basically a chartered accountant with much relvant experience and another accountant sitting on the panel did not think this was wrong, but the LAP, who were not accountants, did.

That's a classic paragraph exposing the whole accounting argument for what it was....a load of theoretical willy-waving.

RadioactiveWaste reacted to duncanjwitham in Wycombe threaten to sue and send us into admin. if we stay up!
The written reasons are very clear that they didn’t deduct points because there is no evidence that the 2 breaches we have been found guilty of so far actually resulted in a sporting advantage on the pitch. I’d say that’s a massive point in our favour if Wycombe did decide to try something on.
Obviously if the restated accounts resulted in a massive overspend then it’s a different case. But even then, the penalties etc are clearly laid out for that kind of breach.

So does the appeal decision now mean Wycombe are incoming with they £15m writ?
Good luck with that!
