Except that the highlighted bit originates from the Daily Mail which the presenter was referring to when asking Salam for his thoughts.
We amateurs all knew that Khaled was only a distant cousin of Mansoor (despite what the media were saying!) so if WE knew then it's inconceivable that MM & Pearce wouldn't know!

I find it incredible that people are so quick to believe what the Daily Mail says and just assume that business executives like Mel Morris & Stephen Pearce wouldn't carry out due diligence on the prospective buyer of their multi-million pound business.

Trouble is, I have difficulty believing the rest of a story, when one simple claim is so glaringly wrong. Our latest set of accounts show a wage bill of just under £4m per month. Since then we have got rid of virtually all of the major earners and replaced them with Rooney and maybe one other.

I'm not sure if this has already been posted in here but the Ramswriter podcast spoke to a Middle Eastern journalist who provided a bit of insight

The maximum that an employment tribunal can award is £88,519 unless there is an element of discrimination to the dismissal eg racial, sexual, gender etc. There are also greater pay-outs possible for dismissals resulting from whistle blowing, asserting statutory rights or health and safety breaches.
Keogh has not been awarded £2m by an employment tribunal.
The only way I can see something amounting to that figure is if he is using the ruling as evidence in a claim for breach of contract.

The club will not go into administration in the coming weeks whatever happens with the Sheikh.
Mel will not allow that with the club still having some reasonable asset worth. The worst case scenario over the coming weeks is no new players, and the sale of someone who will give us liquidity - Bielik, Bird, Sibley or Knight. Gordon and Holmes might give a short term fix, but probably insufficient to see us through to the next window. Buys Mel a bit more time IF he needs to find other working capital or long term investment.
