If the teams above us carry on at their current points per game then 70 points will be enough this year, regardless of previous year averages.
I reckon it'll take just 7 wins from our final 9 games to take 6th.
    Easy Peasy, Saint & Greavsie.

The Mrs sent me panic buying last night. Wanted me to report back how empty the shelves were.

I got some funny looks in Sainsbury's while I was pushing hundreds of packs of pasta to one side to set my little scenes up but it was worth it to wind the Mrs up a bit. I still haven't told her the truth. She's gone off foraging in the woods this afternoon bless her.

got a canvas of my boy printed, brought it home yesterday...
First thing Bruce did when he saw it was run up to it and sniff it, thought aw that's cute, he misses him.
Then he proceeded to rooster his leg up... (Damn autocorrect, he was about to take a wee basically)

While it's tempting to join in with the general mickey-taking, there is a serious issue here in that the Florest players have all come into direct contact with someone infected. If the owner met them prior to the game, then the Millwall players may also have been exposed. I'm pretty sure that the government guidelines state you should self-isolate if you've been in contact with anyone who has (or may have) the virus. That would suggest that neither team should be playing/training for 2 weeks from the day of the last match. The football authorities need to issue an urgent directive regarding the two clubs before they spread the infection further....

Not sure why the club don’t have our own player of the month. Local company to sponsor a monthly trophy.
Nice way of the fans interacting with the team and showing their appreciation for the player of a month which without a doubt Lawrence would have won February.
    Liverpool do this.

Didn’t get a chance yesterday to say what I thought of the game, though I’m sure everything I’m gonna say has already been covered earlier in the thread. To sum it up - wow! What a performance! To beat a quality team like Blackburn, who are above us in the table for good reason, with the ease that we did yesterday is an absolutely phenomenal result. Huge credit to everyone involved. With Rooney missing I thought we’d get a hard fought 1-0 or 2-1 at best, but the young lads really stepped up - especially in that last 15 of the first half - and we thoroughly deserved the convincing scoreline that we won by.
After a bit of a sleepy start, we totally bossed the game once Sibley burst onto the scene with that strike that even Rooney would have been proud of! Gone were the lax, half arsed passes out the back and the lack of movement that epitomised the poor opening 15 minutes - replaced by a Barcelona esque style of play, at the heart of which was our incredible young midfield. They were simply outstanding! Some of the linkup between them, especially between Bird and Sibley, was a joy to behold. We played some absolutely beautiful football - quick, crisp passing from back to front, with everything centred around the brilliant Chris Martin up front, who held up play superbly and was central to everything good we did going forward - linking up with the younger energetic lads, and winning space for them to drive into, which they duly did to excellent effect. We played the possession game to absolute perfection, creating so many chances going forward owing to our excellent drives forward from midfield and quality passing around the box, as well as limiting Blackburn to chances pretty much solely from crosses and set pieces - much of which was Down to Shinnie who was an absolute monster in CDM. We really could have scored even more goals had we been a bit more clinical, which tells you everything you need to know about how well we played given we won 3-0!
    Ratings for me:
Hamer 8 - I’ve been a critic but he was excellent today, his distribution was so much better
Bogle 8 - Much more like it, more solid in defence and more confident taking men on going forward, caused all sorts of problems with his drives down the wing
Wisdom 7 - Rarely tested in Defence, played the ball out well in general
Clarke 8 - Imperious display, almost never got beat and made some brilliant tackles to cover some of Forsyths mistakes
Forsyth 8 - Despite some early dodgy passes, he grew into an excellent display and played a couple of brilliant passes going forward that deserved more than they got. Solid and rarely beaten in defence too
Shinnie 8 - Absolute defensive mid masterclass. His positioning was absolutely spot on, he snuffed out danger and stopped counterattacks on so many occasions with some brilliant energetic tackles, and did well starting attacks off when he got in possession too.
Bird 8 - Another standard, extremely composed performance by the young man. Was really impressive driving with the ball through the middle third, and as always looked after the ball extremely well in tight areas
Waghorn 7 - Think he was a little tired after quite a lot of football recently, but still worked hard as always both going forward and tracking back, and got in some good positions too.
Sibley 8 - What a debut! An absolute worldie of a goal that gets better every time you see it, and an excellent all round game too. Some brilliant movement with his runs in behind, he carried the ball forward well and pressed superbly too
Knight 7 - Classic combative performance, worked hard to retain possession and found some decent pockets of space
Martin 9 MOM - Wow. That was absolute prime Martin. His hold up play was near faultless, creating space for the young lads to run into, and playing some devastating little flicks after good pieces of close control that Blackburn simply couldn’t handle. Great poachers goal which deserves great credit, and a composed pen too

Maybe 1 year deal with playing time automatic extension clause. We did that with a few recently, like Curtis.

Admittedly I have a man crush on our Wardrobe but he is always very articulate when interviewed which gives the impression he may well be a good manager when his playing days are finally up. Very media savvy, reads the game well and his articulate nature should help him get his point across to the team. Sure I've read it elsewhere that he is already a leader and very vocal in the dressing.

I was waiting to reply to this, he did it again today so I don't agree. Just before Waghorn's stonewall penalty 1st half, Bird picked the ball up and drove 40/50 yards forward before laying it off to Waghorn. For me, Bird's decision-making is just top notch; if the pass backwards is the sensible option, he uses it, but if dribbling forward until a better option opens up is best, he'll also instinctively do that.
I'd argue today generally disproved a lot of this post though, our passing forward was much improved and far more effective this afternoon and Bird was at the centre of a lot of it. With the ever-combative Shinnie alongside him, together they showed a pretty complete midfield display. Bird is more of a holding midfielder rather than defensive midfielder though, his composure on the ball is his main asset and linking play; he's more of a playmaker than enforcer basically.
Hughes and Thorne both played specific roles in a midfield 3. In the 2 that we currently play, you sort of have to combine the qualities of both roles and i think Bird does that excellently. Doesn't shirk a challenge but also then has serious class on the ball and really gets us playing.

I think I’d look to sell Marriott. Someone will pay something decent for him, he just doesn’t fit what we need. Probably use JHI for what he has brought this season.

Shinnie had a cracking game. His passing was excellent especially two cross field balls in the second half. He looked after Bird in midfield and help shift the ball quickly.
Having said all that, I really enjoyed a couple of tackles: one where he slid in to rob a guy who was breaking after a Forsyth error and the second was a crunching one late on in the centre circle that left the recipient clutching his leg.
His best game for us I think.  Probably MoM but I love Chris Martin.

I want to know who the "several" first team players who were left out are. I can only think of Clarke, seeing as Wisdom was ill, Martin is in and out of the team regularly and Roos & Hamer have played a similar number of games this season.
