Back on the 11th March there was a suggestion Collo  was 3 weeks away from being available. Any updates? If on track could he make Pompey away?

"Back on the grass" next week according to Paul Warne 👍

Have you considered the wages those 4 are likely on though? I think the evidence suggests we had to offer top money to get Smith, Barks, Collins and Hourihane to come here as we were desperate at the time. Others too like Chester who has since gone. I'd keep Fozzy but let the rest go and spend the wages on some younger players

Not my job to consider the wages.

There's no rule that we have to offer the same or more wages is there?

We can make what we consider a respectable offer then it's up to them, the same applies with any player. This will include Sibley who may well be on a high wage given he signed a new improved contract in the Mel Morris era.

Of that list, I'd be open to keeping Forsyth, Loach, Barkhuizen, Gayle, Wildsmith, Sibley, Robinson and Thompson around. Some more than others.

Agreed, the only difference for me is I'm not against keeping Smith & Collins too.

Hourihane & Waghorn have both reached the end of the line unfortunately.

Hourihane, Smith, Collins, Waghorn will be released if we’re promoted I reckon. Although I think you could argue a case for retaining them

Forsyth and Barkhuizen 🤔 I’d keep Barks and Fozzy still seems to be doing it so I’d keep him too

I'd like to keep all of Fozzy, Smith, Barkhuizen & Collins as squad options even in the Championship.

It's important to maintain some degree of continuity given the togetherness that's obviously been fostered within the squad.

  5. Listening to the Rams Talk preview, the Northampton fan said their major weakness is at left back, where they have a gangly cumbersome player called Manny Monthe who is "a L2 centre back" filling in for their regular starter Patrick Brough who isn't up to much either... sounds like just the perfect game for Kane Wilson to play RWB and Mendez to drift out right from a forward position.

He also said they are quite fragile at defending set pieces....  😁

People keep referring to this still taken from a video as if it's conclusive evidence that Waghorn  handled the ball (maybe it also hit the hand of the Bolton defender that is 'obviously' immediately behind Waghorn and in the path of the ball 😄) but at full speed Waghorn lifts his arm to let the ball pass. Odd that no-one from Bolton has produced a slo-mo clip that would show frame-by-frame what actually happened, isn't it? 😏

I'm now more than ever convinced that the goal wouldn't have been disallowed even under VAR, because whatever faint touch the ball got on Waggy's arm (it certainly wasn't vice-versa) didn't affect the outcome.

Spot on. This straight on picture has a foreshortening effect, so can end up showing what certain people want it to show.

Very much like the disputed catches that can happen in cricket, that look different front on as opposed to side on.

Because why would you not even try if you're going to do this deal with Cosuins anyway?

Because the Ravens would have matched any offer, so it would have been a waste of time.

Love Falcons thinking a $188m contract for an old guy off a torn Achilles with 1 play off win ever is better than the contract we gave Lamar and 2 first round picks. Why would you not even try that if that was your grand plan?!

Lamar was never really available. Why would the Falcons, or any other QB-needy team, have done the Ravens negotiating for them when the Ravens would have just matched the offer made anyway.

Yeah with a extra 10 million on the end as a retirement present 🤣

I wonder what the Vikings plan now is? Cousins, Wilson, Mayfield off the market and Bears won't trade you Fields... JJ McCarthy in the draft?

Kirk is a Falcon, 4 year contract, per his agent.

Looks like it's 2 years $90m guaranteed in reality. What happens at the back end of these contracts is normally a bit of hocus pocus.

    Let's go!!!

Doesn’t it call that a salary cap - what’s available to spend not what actually was spent

Under SCMP a normal L1 club can spend up to 60% of turnover on player salaries, a newly relegated club can spend up to 75%. I guess we could spend somewhere in the middle given the post-admin business plan. We spent 42%.

I believe the official ground capacity is 32,500, however, with swathes seats being covered over for segregation purposes I doubt if the maximum will ever be more than 31,500.

The highest Pride Park attendances have been approx. 34,000 for the England vs Mexico international and the Rams vs Rangers testimonial games which had very little, if any, segregation.

There was an attendance of 32,211 versus Birmingham during the admin season.
