  1. That was uncalled for. I see nothing funny about this abominable act of barbarism on civilians. I don't much care who raises valid points, I know nothing of this Olga, am only interested in these points raised. 1. ISIS terrorists, from the get go, consider themselves to be martyrs, accepting death as the final outcome for themselves, thus they are prepared to go in with the one way ticket and the main purpose to kill as many civilians as possible and not make cleaning the crime scenes and escape their priority. 2. The US pointing their finger towards ISIS, while simultaneously and immediately claiming no Ukrainian involvement in this terror attack, while Ukrainian special services immediately claiming a "false flag". I'm going to leave this one here for now. 3. Quite curious that the terrorists were escaping in the direction of Ukraine.
  2. One would indeed think so, yet the reported amount is around ten thousand dollars worth, or a million rubles.
  3. I like your choice of wording - somewhat- yes fair point
  4. Some legitimate points raised here IMO. One of the suspected attackers, if the translation is correct, claims to have been approached on Telegram and that he did this for money. That is not ISIS like. Lots of questions, some perhaps may be answered in the coming days.
  5. Does it have to be a choice? For me it is both art and vandalism. The thing about art is that it's left to opinion, saying this is art but that isn't is missing the point of art. If one feels that something is art, then for that person it is art, if enough people consider some work art, then it is popular art. It is the effect that is the art.

  7. There was barely any warning time of this eruption, one minute after the warning of imminent eruption was announced, the eruption began. It is somewhere between Hagafell mountain and Stóra Skógfell mountain, in a similar area as the last one. Choppers are flying over to give precise location. 8. Standup comedy works best when close to true. Eddie had it down.
  9. Hadn't heard that one, nice. When I was in junior high in California in the early seventies I had a crazy Hawaiian teacher, Mr. Lee, yeah he wore dark glasses. One day Mr. Lee came to class with a record player, an amp and a couple of speakers, said the only thing we would learn that day was to fully take in and appreciate a great album with Sly & The Family Stone. Before playing the record, Mr. Lee passed around some wacky baccy for those who wanted, which turned out to be everyone except innocent I.
  10. Here's a guitarist you've likely never heard of, but every Icelandic music enthusiast knows and loves, Björgvin Gíslason, one of, if not the best Icelandic rock guitarist. Self taught. In his later years he lamented not having studied music, but then added that perhaps it was best he didn't, as when you haven't learned the rules, there are no rules and creativity flows freely. Björgvin died suddenly a few days ago 72 years of age. Much respected and greatly missed. This is from his 60th birthday concert.
  11. It is not a matter of convincing western leaders that what Israel is doing is indefensible, they all know it to be true, they have eyes, yet they are bound to defend Israel's actions no matter what atrocities it commits for one simple reason, they are leaders of vassal states who must do the bidding of their masters. If that wasn't obvious to most before, it clearly should be now.
  12. The main cause of war is leaders having issues with each other, they then stir up the population with some handy excuse or another, who after the bloody mess is over sit down shaking heads and are either left embittered for life or wondering what the hell caused all this madness. Leaders are the problem, most humans cannot handle power.
  13. We have got to go for it today. For any chance of autos we need to string together a few results, starting today.
  14. Oldboys, on Netflix. A Nordic comedic road movie with a twist of pathos. A team of Danish old boys footballers travel to Sweden for a game against ageing Swedish cops. The game itself gets less than a minute of film, but we do get to see some former policemen get grossly fouled, so that was nice. The story revolves around a fifty something introverted forgotten "nobody" left behind at a gas station in Sweden who gets an eventful ride from a young Danish hoodlum on the run. The two leads are total opposites and therefor teach each other a thing or two along the way to the football match. A girl joins the ride halfway through, why you may ask, but shouldn't, girls are what it's all about guys. 8 out of 10, for the Nordic humour and because I have a weakness for road movies.
  15. See, here's the problem, I don´t have a stopper, if I witness something I don't approve of, I let it be known, with looks, words, body language, whatever suits the occasion. I am sometimes told that I am rude, on the grounds that it's offensive to say it, instead of thinking it.
  16. How sad is that eh. I know football can get tribal, but rejoicing in near endless suffering is shameful behavior. I try to see the possibility of decency in most folks, so I hope that some of those who acted that way, now realize they went too far.
