  1. I am a big Paul McCartney and Wings fan One of my favorite Wings tracks is Denny Laine's finest work IMO Denny passed on last December, may he rest in peace
  2. Nunn will be playing in the top division with HK from the town of Kópavogur situated next to Reykjavík. HK is reported to have to fight hard to maintain their place in the division, their first game is an away match against KA from Akureyri at 1pm today. This is how their place looks at the moment, heh.
  3. No one was nutty enough to tell me this, but when I was around five I became convinced that if a car would run over my foot, it wouldn't hurt a bit. I decided to test my theory at a nearby busy road. I stood on the edge of the sidewalk and when I spotted a car driving close to the road's edge I quickly stuck my foot out, but much to my irritation, the drivers always swerved away at the last second. This time I would succeed though, for a big wide lorry truck was coming, yet just before I was able to shoot my foot out some fellow who had observed me yanked me backwards, yelling, what the hell are you doing you crazy kid. I learned from that episode that adults can be really annoying.
  4. Trying to goad Iran into a serious enough attack to pull the Yanks into the conflict is the word on the street. Cynical I thinks the Yanks and Israel are working hand in hand to that end, the headlines of USA trying to hold back Israeli ambition being only showmanship. It was foolish of Iran to gather so many commanders in the same house, they must however see what the attack was meant to accomplish.
  5. Until tonight I never knew this song was about a "chicken ranch" in Texas. Raunchy southern rock at it's finest. Turn it up, or don't play it.
  6. Come on Derby County, remain focused, stay hungry, keep at em and win this big game
  7. Some of the 80's music doesn't age very well, but when this number comes on the radio, I turn it up.
  8. Playing it safe could turn out to be the most risky in a game against a strong side like Portsmouth. Being apprehensive of making mistakes sometimes ensures mistakes. If we set out with the mentality of wanting to win the game, it increases the likelihood of every player being up for it and at their best. This game is a chance to make a possible bid for first place, so that is how it should be approached IMO. Second place is ok, first is better.
  9. IMO we have to go for it and try to win the game, getting three points closer will put pressure on Portsmouth, something they may not be comfortable with and if we keep winning most games, we'll be like terriers on their tails just waiting for a stumble. Yep, it's a lot of if's and maybe's but could happen and the chance for it starts by winning that game. We Are Coming For You Pompy
  10. What a great story, nice idea with the nematodes. I learned about gnats and yellow the hard way. Our previous residence was in a tall block of flats that was painted bright yellow the first few years. In springtime it literally turned black with millions of tiny gnats. The news channels and papers covered this remarkable "amusing" occurrence, but a sour faced entomologists appeared, warning of the possible devastation of the gnat population, that by unwisely choosing yellow we had meddled with natural forces beyond our comprehension, but that in layman's terms it meant the gnats not behaving as nature intended, thereby affecting birds and insects that fed on them and so on. We were ordered by the natural science department of the state to repaint the block in a less offensive colour immediately and again we were harshly scolded, predicting we had probably already caused near irreparable natural damage. We became the local objects of laughter, snickering and scorn, receiving sideways glances wherever we ventured and all because of yellow.
  11. Cats are mysterious creatures, they do what they want, charm who they please, but they sense things and can be very generous with their affection. I am not surprised your neighbors kitten is winning you over in spite of your allergies. I am a bit allergic, got red skin under my elbow after contact with kitty, but it's as if my skin is getting used to him, it's not as bad anymore. Hope your allergy clears up as well and you can freely enjoy making friends with your feline neighborhood charmer.
  12. We have a cat, or should I say it has us. It's black with white paws, short haired, 5 months old, a little wild monster, the terror of the furniture, with such innocent eyes demanding instant forgiveness and a cuddle. He could tell I was complaining about him and so he jumped on my lap and now is purring and looking up at me with dreamy feline eyes saying, I own you, don't move, I am comfortable now.
  13. The suspension of disbelief is essential throughout, yet I binge watched this fun series. All that crime and not a copper in sight, lovely.
  14. I don't care you what you think, but I do find it amusing and revealing how you repeatedly call for assistance from the mods.
  15. What part of IMO do you not understand? I have every right to my opinion, it doesn't mean it's correct or that you will agree with it. I will consider any point, or opinion legitimate that I please, how do you like that, eh? I will also change my mind as suits me and visit any news outlet I want to, without asking your approval. Are you seething yet?
  16. Oh boy, am I on some list of dangerous individuals now, because I stray from getting all my info from the dubious MSM supply? Every news outlet, tweeter and commenter is questionable, pro western and pro Russian alike. Often the truth lies somewhere in between the opposing views, I have found. It is important to ask questions and in my opinion dangerous not to. I´d urge folks to question everything, use discernment and critical thinking and not allow any side to bully them into submission for not automatically joining a choir. I am not convinced this atrocity was committed by ISIS, that's why I posted that tweet. I also am beginning to doubt that the suspects are of clear enough minds to have pulled this off without some serious help. They seem borderline mentally challenged, severely uneducated at the very least. Something is very fishy about this whole thing.
  17. Until facts have been proven, your points are unsubstantiated also, fella. Seriously give it a rest.
