This is bluster. I don't believe you, if you are suggesting that before setting the wolves on us you had an informed view that our interpretation of frs 102 was wrong. It's a highly technical question and your expertise is in a different area. And if you reflect on the LAP judgement, you'll see that a major pillar of the decision was not the technical analysis at all (they were all lawyers). Instead it was the finding that the IDC was wrong in disregarding the EFL's expert evidence, in circumstances where we put none forward.
I can see you might have looked at our accounts and noticed that we were applying an amortisation policy that was different to that applied by the other clubs.  This doesn't explain the zeal with which you put us in the cross hairs. And so the inference will be that the whole thing was an exercise in self promotion; or that you chose to damage Morris and by extension, us

Of course, it turns out they thought we were overvaluing it because they basically got Dave from down the pub to have a guess at how much he thought it was worth, instead of having it valued properly.

But as FRS 102 by your admission is/was open to interpretation means that at the time Derby used the method they did it wasn't against the rules merely a different interpretation. If the EFL, at your prompting, wanted to make a rule, which they now have, surely retrospective introduction of a new rule and then punishment based on that rule is just plain wrong. 

funny you mention the rules. Our accounting was so egregious that the EFL had to change the rules to make it clear it was not permitted 

Cashin's paperwork not yet in place for him to play for Ireland, but he's travelling with the squad. 

While obviously I’d love to keep them, four of those five who are under contract should be able to fetch a decent amount (but probably less than they’re worth) to give a Rooney a bit of a transfer kitty. Apart from Stretton I can’t see any of them wanting play in League 1 anyway.  Shame, but a start to being more self sufficient.

The allegations against Derby were highly arguable at best and in my view even the amoristaion issue was nor properly proven especially as the IDC originally found in our favour.

There is at least as much of an arguable case against Forest , Watford and co. Villa too. Probably several more now. 

Basically all the big clubs have used creative accounting.  Derby were no different, except EFL picked on us.

I can't wait for Plymouth away. Just under 2 hours on the train, by far the closest Football League team to me. About an hour further up the line, Exeter City are the second closest. That's a silver lining of our relegation for me, a West Country tour.

No, I got the feeling that they weren't the only ones. Barnsley's CEO was very vocal, for one, as was Lansdown at Bristol and Preston (ironically). The reported bleating from some of them about Quantuma not accepting derisory bids for some of our players in January didn't go down well here either. We certainly won't forget it.
