We'll have Collins back on Saturday which may help. Osula is not a target man. 
It is going to be a long season. Our players are mainly elderly and after a gentle slide into retirement.

The sooner he realises he is no longer managing plucky underdogs Rotherham the better. We have regressed badly in terms of performance in recent matches. Lincoln aside, we were simply a better team to watch under Rosenior based on the games played so far.

Whichever three (or two) we play in CM he should be one of them for me.

The 2 things I'm taking from tonight is that Rooney, Thompson and Oduro aren't good enough for the 1st team, also the pace that Osula and Dobbin have is more effective than Collins up front for the way Warne wants us to play. Although I think Dobbin needs to finish better with the chances he gets

Embarrassing performance. That is just genuinely shocking, both tactically and individually. I get we needed to win away games, which we have been doing to Warne's credit, but that's 2/2 losses at home and we didn't deserve to win in both. What's the point in winning away if you can't win at home?

Was our team that weak to be called reserves, really? Plenty of experience  in there to have done better than that

Yeah, that's pretty much how loans work.
We're in a position though where we have to use the loan system.
Would we prefer permanent signings? Of course, until this embargo has been lifted we have to do what we can do.
You know we can enjoy them whilst they are here, as we did with Mount, Wilson and Tomori....whilst these are nowhere near that level, we can still take them in as our own.

Warne said previously we need to be targetting 82 points for the playoffs and we are slightly off the rate required. After 12 games we would need 21pts form the required rate so to sit on 20 is pretty decent & shows we're not far off where we need to be.

We can also sign players on loan. Bonne (QPR), Cullen (Swansea), Maguire (Preston), Waghorn (Coventry) and Cornick (Luton) have all had limited game time this season, and could be options.
In the summer you said we need a 15 plus goals a season striker... and we signed one. Collins has 4 in 11 games this season, equivalent to 16 over a season. 
McGoldrick has 1 in 276 mins, equivalent to 15 in a full season (we'l be fortunate if he plays at least 50% of the minutes)
Hourihane has 3 in 11 games, equivalent to 12/13 in a full season.

When fully fit, Smith has to start, we havent seen the best of him yet due to injury but now he is back training I would expect him to be back in the squad come Sat.
When fully fit the midfield 3 should be Smith & Knight with 1 of Bird & Hourihane. Then with Collins & McGoldrick upfront.

The club did say that we are well under the restrictions due to the ticket sales etc so maybe that helps towards 6 months of his wages, it will only have to be whatever Birmingham are picking up now as part of his wage will be in our budget anyway.

I’m glad the “Collo” thread has been bumped cause quite frankly I like him.
Seems like a hustle and bustle CF that’ll run through brick walls etc etc.
But what really has made me like him is how he talks. Really liked his interview after Cambridge. Seems a good, honest, likeable footballer.
I can understand why he’s Paul Warne’s cup of tea.
I think he’ll be a good signing over the season. Shame he got the red but he’ll be alright I reckon.
