Fornah agreed to join last week, hold up is/was with Forest, the deal was originally a loan but now going to be a permanent, hold up seems to have been the promotion bonus

It does suit their agenda though. Don’t you think it’s hilarious when someone makes a comment about Rotherham? No, me neither….Whatever the title of the thread , there’s someone ready to make the side-splitting Rotherham reference. So Warne has said something which I think the majority of fans agree with & still gets criticised? 
They way he said it was fine too, he didnt moan about what the ability of the current squad just that it needs more additions....again every fan agrees with this.
The type of players he has openly stated he wants are pretty much what most fans also say we need. 
Not sure how he is being criticised for seeing what the fans see & wanting what the fans want.

In a full season Houihane got 7 goals and 7 assists. How many did bird get again 1 goal and 2 assists and Houihane is way past his best. Bird is over rated and doesn’t stand out in a poor league against sub standard opposition. Houihanes on his last legs and contributes more. 

Houihane adds more creative output hence higher goals and assists since he’s been here and he’s past it. Smiths past it too. You say there is an issue but you’re crying at the thought of signing 2 new ones! 🤣 I’m confused 🤷‍♂️

league 1 is poor quality and does Bird really stand out amongst all the 💩 he doesn’t that’s mine and many others issue.

Midfielders don’t necessarily have to be centrally by the way. In my opinion we need 2 midfielders. Having Bird, Hourihane, Thommo, Smith and another Midfielder is good going. Having 2, especially with the way injuries have gone against us already this season is welcomed. Also the stick that Hourihane is getting is unjustified, one of the best players last Saturday and made some crunching tackles, he’s by far our most technically gifted player and is a threat from set pieces. He is slow but that’s why you get legs around him

Wow, I can’t believe someone has finally revealed the identity of this new midfielder! How has no one been ITK about this before?

Seen enough of Bird/Hourihane/Smith to know we won't be challenging for autos with them. If it's two midfielders and they're an improvement on our current lot, then great. 

PW said we weren't a top 3 team but didn't imply the players weren't good enough - iirc he said players such as Conor and Fozzy couldn't be expected to go flat out for 46 games, they need help and we need more bodies.
As we all know 4 or 5 good signings before the transfer window shuts and this season starts to look a lot better, I didn't read anything negative into his comments other than we need to get moving in the transfer market pretty damn quick. 
 

The recruitment team. How much Warne is involved in that, we don't know. But saying we want to sign 23-28 year olds, losing our best player, and then not recruiting anyone in that bracket for that position isn't great. Also spaffing the budget on 30+ year old defenders when the team needs pace further forward...
I, conversely, was somewhat buoyed by this comment; purely because it means Warne also sees the deficiencies within the squad that the rest of us see, and isn't happy with the depth we currently have. This reinforces the notion he knows what's needed but it hasn't been delivered by those responsible for signings. I'd be far more worried if he was saying this IS a top 3 squad, to be perfectly honest. 

Derby's head coach made the assessment after Saturday's 1-0 win over Fleetwood which was their first victory at Pride Park this season.
Warne said he needs to add further players to help the squad which has been rocked by injuries to Max Bird, Kane Wilson and Joe Ward.
Derby are eager to make three to four signings before the window shuts on September 1 with a midfielder hopefully the next to arrive.
Warne said: "I think our team is giving their all, and I am not criticising it, but if I am critquing it, I don't think it's a top three team, that is my honest truth," he said.
"We can't ask the Conor Hourihanes, the Craig Forsyths to play 46 games flat out. It's impossible.
"They need help and we need to get bodies in with a bit of pace to make us a better team."

If we get a DCM with pace and a creative number 10 I'll be happy with 2 midfielders.

Maybe Warne is frustrated because he has targets ready & lined up but needs the money from 2 players who are not willing to commit beyond this season. Warne has always said he wants players that want to be here, not signing a new indicates they dont really.
Maybe the incoming money will be used on players who will have a sell on value, someone like Nombe maybe. 
Warne has gone on record as saying he wants players in a decent age bracket as well as wanting pace throughout the team, which is exactly what every fan wants - maybe he just doesnt have enough money to get this without further sales.
On paper, everyone was buzzing with the Bradley signing, I still think he will come good. He missed a lot of games last season and appears to be needing more sharpness. Waggy & Washington both look decent at this level, Wilson has shown promise in spells & is young, majority rate Ward, similar to Bradley I think a lot of fans were happy to bring in Elder too (he wll end up being first choice LB/LWB), Nelson was a bit 50/50.  So for people to not rate Warne's signings I think is unfair, its still early doors to judge them, Warne knows what we need just like every fan, whether we have enough money to do it remains to be seen.

If we were to bid 1m on a player i would hope it would be on someone like Nombe not another CB
