It’s not punishing those without the vaccine, it’s early release from restrictions for those that have.
if you not willing to risk the vaccine then it seems mad to risk your health by putting youselF in situations where you risk of exposure to covid is significantly higher.
just look at the rising cases from the relaxed restrictions without many mass events taking place

DCFC1388 reacted to DJAY in Harry Wilson
Serious question, everyone seems to be reporting that a deal is in place for Harry Wilson for £12 million. However they are also reporting that they won't pay the first instalment until 2022 in order to circumvent FFP restrictions.
Will the EFL look at this with as much scrutiny as they did with us in the end. I doubt it, but surely anything that is done to 'get around' the FFP restrictions is against the spirit of the FFP rules?

I think the new style is when we have the ball at the back, both Byrne & Buchanan advance about 15yards, Bird & Carroll pull out wide into the vacant space with either Lawrence or Morrison dropping into the space created by Bird & Carroll going wide

DCFC1388 reacted to Heisenberg in When support is needed most
As @Rammy03said, as long as the players are putting in maximum effort win, lose or draw they’ll always have support from the stands. It’s the people at the top who I, like many, are sick to the stomach with.
I’m by no means Wayne Rooney’s biggest fan, and ultimately don’t think he’ll be the man to take this club forward in the long term, but the people above him are giving him absolutely no chance of succeeding in the job.
WR said in his post-match interview/presser after the Sheffield Wednesday game that circumstances HAD to change from that evening onwards. Two months on, we’re in the exact same position. You could argue that it’s even worse, as the squad is even more depleted since the loanees returned to their parents club and with others being released.
How has this been allowed to continue?
After scraping survival by the skin of our teeth the season before, we’re now heading into an Championship season with no recognised central defenders contracted to the club.
We’re a football club that’s in complete freefall and theres no signs coming out of the club that will end any time soon. MM and SP deserve every bit of criticism (not abuse, let’s make that clear) heading their way. It’s shocking management and the sooner they both move on, only then will this club move in the right direction.

Pretty sure Ashley Cole started out as a striker then converted to a left back and he ended up being the best left back in the world at his prime so it shows players can change positions. Wasnt Buchanan a centre back in the youth teams?!

The club, DET & BBC have all stated we're in talks with american consortiums, Nixon has reported Garry Cook is involved with helping the deal along. Only thing missing really is the name of the actual buyers, but is it actually a bad thing that hasnt come out yet? We have all seen what happened with Gabay, BZI & Alonso when they were made public.

Loans ended & returned to parent clubs end of 20/21 season -
    Clarke
    Roberts
    Gregory
    Baningime
    Edmundson
    Mengi
Deal in principle agreed with Man Utd for Mengi to return on loan, looks like waiting for embargoes to be removed so it can be a full season loan, not restricted to 6 months like current embargos do

When under an embargo we are going to be struggling to get much better, thats where we are as a club. As someone mentioned its talented but flawed (Morrison), average Champ players (Aluko/Baldock) or very experienced players at the end of their careers (Jagielka/Stearman), not sure what fans are actually expecting.
Someones personal or mental situation can easily have changed in 2 years or even less so who knows what may have happened.
Im not saying this will work out but why write him off before you see him play in a DCFC shirt? We have spent alot of money on in form players who have turned out as bad signings, we have got freebies who fans wrote off but been decent. Old/young, in form/cast off, british/foreign, free/big money - there is no guarantee on any of it

As a talent Buchanan is more promising. He went through a bad patch and his confidence dropped so I can see why Rooney dropped him but long term he's the better option.
I was surprised when we extended Forsyth's contract. He's on the decline and more Div 1 than championship.

We’ll risk them running their contracts down in the hope we get the embargo lifted at some point. As others have said we can’t reinvest the cash in the team due to the embargo.
I think Buchanan will go for compensation next summer. Hopefully to the premier league. Lawrence might agree a new deal before next summer.
Of the others I’d only keep Byrne.

Be interesting to see prices mentioned as he is probably our most valueable youngster after last season so got to be looking 3m+
Think id rather sell Byrne than Buchanan, at least then if we got Mengi n Wisdom in as expected we would have them 2 plus Ebosele & McDonald as backups. Cant have Forsyth as our main left back all season.

I'd be tempted to sell Byrne if we get a reasonable offer and bring Wisdom & Mengi in who can both play RB & CB, effectively creates an extra slot for us.
Whilst Byrne had a very good season, he's 29 years old with 1 year on his contract and probably at the highest value he's ever likely to be at as a Derby player.
    Needs must.

DCFC1388 reacted to Ambitious in Summary of players who have signed ...
I strongly disagree. I think we were all optimistic about our situation 12 months ago. We had signed the likes of Jozwiak and Ibe. The lack of a striker was disconcerting, but we still had our top goalscorer - Waghorn - contracted to the club. Mike Te Wierik and Matt Clarke were signed up. David Marshall and Nathan Byrne too. Also, at that point, we had just finished 10th in the league thanks to some outstanding performances from Louie Sibley towards the back end of the season. It was like the second coming of Giles Barnes.
It didn't go anything like we suspected. Jozwiak didn't make nearly the impact we thought he would, Ibe barely touched the field. MTW was awful from the get go. Marshall started very well but later got bogged down with the tripe infront of him. Rooney decided to stop moving and play manager. The best signing we made, ironically, was the one that no one wanted - Kazim-Richards. We barely stayed in the division.
This season we have roughly 2 weeks until the season starts, no centre backs on the books. The embargo means we are really able to sign players no one else wants, at this level, unless Rooney can pull in some favours with loan moves. We currently have only one player who scored more than 5 goals in the team going into the season. By all accounts, we are about in as bad of a situation as you can possibly get, plus we still don't know if we will receive a point deduction this season and won't until the accounts and P&S are posted. I'd imagine as we are dragging it out that all roads lead to yes, but who knows. We would be able to get rid of the bloody embargo if we could get our affairs in order - and they WERE in order.
All that being said: we have definitely quashed expectation. We were one of the favourites for a promotion run last season. Now, we're the 4th from bottom favourites for promotion - with no option to bet on our relegation because of the potential point deduction we may face. We are effectively posted as the 4th worst team in the division from the off. I think that does help and ultimately it could lead to some teams taking their eye off the ball early doors against us - perhaps resting a few players as we're seen as an easy 3 points. We've not had that luxury too often. Well, aside from Swansea, who still dicked us with their second string last season.
