    A) The EFL & FA (& PL) are a law to themselves and the decisions that they make are never in the interest of all lower league clubs. The sooner the government / separate body get involved, the better! At the moment, the governing bodies are too weak and they need to be firmer. I expect that Man City will have their titles removed and will be hit with a fine (that they'll pay for with change they find in their sofa's) but nothing will change in their running of the club.

If there was a loophole for any club to survive, I bet 95% of the clubs would have taken it in a heart beat!

    B) Granted that for the first half of the season, we really struggled to step up and there were a number of games throughout the season where a draw could have easily been a win etc. Also the "offside" goal when we played you could have easily saved us.

You haven't answered question b) it was about being in a different season, read the question again

If you think Warne can convert Martin into a high pressing centre forward he must be planning on radical surgery.

I'm sure Charlie said something similar on RD before Christmas about Hourihane, my eyes told me different on Saturday. What is to say he cant adapt? Fozzy looks as fit as he did 6 years ago, astonishing job having the right attitude in a system that's managed by someone who knows what they are doing. If Martin doesn't fancy it he just wouldn't come, but if we signed him I would back our management to get the best out of him.

Bristol City bastions of the championship trying to offset FFP failure and fast track changes on the grounds that they could have sold 30 million quids worth of players but for covid .  Jog on cheats.

Under the ownership of billionaire Stephen Lansdown, the West Country club has long been perceived as one of the most financially stable regimes below the Premier League.

However, Richard Gould, the club's chief executive, described to Telegraph Sport how the Covid-inflicted collapse in transfer values in the second tier has cost the club £30 million alone.

The executive has now taken the unprecedented step of warning they could be left with no choice but to take a points deduction next season unless the league fast-tracks reform.

EFL executives are exploring allowances for Covid-losses, but City are among a host of clubs concerned that the increased wiggle room will only cover matchday losses. For most clubs at City's level, a matchday-only saving might allow only around £5m on top of the current £39m upper-loss threshold for losses.

Meanwhile at a club with a 70 million wage bill and an average 8 k attendance

Bournemouth have been busy, having already confirmed the deadline day loan signings of Liverpool defender Nat Phillips and Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, with business expected to continue throughout the evening with Kieffer Moore, Todd Cantwell and Siriki Dembele all reportedly joining the Championship's third-placed side.

I posted this on a separate thread but it is relevant here too. Have been busy posting comments to various newspaper articles including the DT and latterly the Daily Mail where DCFC articles pop up. Have tried to post a comment today on the excellent article by Martin Samuel in the DM countering the Middlesborough hypocrisy.

Here is a link to comments made by Mel Morris about Gibson's own form of cheating with the tax loss issue:

    https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/Derby-county-chairman-mel-morris-2910724

I also heard Morris voice this on Talksport too.

MFC received no punishment for their 'cheating' and the loophole was merely closed.

    Certainly needs disseminating this point.

Might be worth noting this to the MPs to allow them to understand the history here, its difficult them jumping in right at the end and trying to understand what's going on here, that's where I think we've seen the statements quickly put out when they have been questioned by so MPs.

  6. I've mentioned this before but something that could easily be fixed up in a day with a bit of software amendment and heavily advertised on Social media.

The club could make one seat at every home game a 'Donate' seat, you click the seat (Software sets this to multiple how many highs) and we can purchase as many of these 'virtual' seats as possible, say set it as £5 a seat and I want to donate £20 I pay for 4 seats.

The club gets 100% income and solves the 'paying back' issue.

Surely someone with contacts with Owen Bradley or someone could set this up pretty sharpish????

The attendance announcement on match day could include how many of the virtual seats are in attendance to interact with the fans.

Exactly. Paying them a few quid might not feel right, but if it removes the threat of liquidation, then it’s time to pack away the egos and just bloody well get on with it.

What makes me sick is the EFL then get away scott free, scumbags

  8. Is it possible we (fans or the fans groups) could present to the Administrators a fans share option, a seat on the board or a voice to be heard for our new future?

10,000 shares at even £150 per share is 1.5m, the more we sell the larger the fans share.

I could be talking total nonsense or fantasy,no idea if this is something they would consider (Admin or new ownership) but an idea that's been going around my head last few hours.....

I don't think we should be piling in on Lawrence. It was obvious he was going to leave after his contracted ended, which I believe suits all parties. He's not going to be here next year and personally I would give him the month off, as well as others who don't see their future here next year, so we can bed in the younger lads who may well be needed next season.

Let's be honest, we're going to be playing in games that have absolutely no meaning. The players looking to move aren't going to put their bodies on the line, they will do the bare minimum to get by - essentially making them worse than a 18 year old who may want to make a point. If if the latter doesn't, at least we will have learnt more than carting out the senior players that won't be here.

Byrne is another potentially in the same boat.

Byrne has already shown this already this season
