This may only be semi serious, but there's a lot of truth in it. The great thing about having a passion like supporting a football team is that it makes you feel alive. If I stopped jumping for joy when a Derby goal hits the back of the net, or if I felt perfectly comfortable watching a goal drought-suffering Chris Martin step up to an equalising penalty against the league leaders, I'd absolutely seek help.
Right now, I live for the football at the weekend. And it still makes me feel alive. That puts me at ease quite a lot. Even the heartache at Wembley is an experience I wouldn't undo, because it was an experience of raw emotion and I'd hate to lose that.
    Always enjoy the little things.

Yesterday and our current form must be a modicum of help does it not.
It certainly has put a spring in my step and I needed it for other reasons.

The thing is there are people on this forum that I could have a right good argument with over politics , or whatever but the common bond that binds us all is DCFC .
It's a massive credit to everyone that by and large what gets posted in the Pub is forgotten about in the other forum sections
It's great that everyone sticks together on subjects like this  ,I would even extend that to Dawny [ maybe]

There are a lot of brave posters on this thread, far braver than I for sure.

After reading through this thread I realise how lucky I am not to have suffered what is obviously a very real and distressing condition.
But I also think it's brilliant how people are willing to help others by posting about their own experiences of what must have been some of the most difficult parts of their lives.
Good on you and I honestly hope that this thread helps the people that need it.

I wonder is loneliness one of the biggest contributing factors or worry.
I would think loneliness ,more time to brood.

On the blue light point. Anyone can download a piece of software called f.lux for free.  It mirrors daylight and after two days or so of using it you are completely unaware that you are using it. Blue Light is a huge problem, even for people who don't think it is for them. I recommend everyone uses f.lux immediately.

I have not been to the flics for about twenty years.
May be better for your industry if actors where treated like they where in Shakespeare's time, about on the same level as a dustman, instead of poncing about like royalty earning millions per film.

Guess you're talking about The Martian, Ovis? I missed Kermode's review. I felt the lack of drama was a fault with the book too, but exaccerbated by having to cut scenes to fit the film. Also, many of the Mars terrain long shots looked like models. When you think back to Ridley Scott doing Blade Runner and that opening sequence when the cityscape looked vast and real, it was a big contrast for me with the Mars vehicle looking like a little dinky toy.

This was me on top of the Empire State Building in May this year, two seconds later I was pounced on and wrestled to the ground and disarmed of my "unauthorised banner" the NYPD undercover officers thought I was mounting a religious protest ! What made it worse was when they said they had never heard of Derby County !!
