I am hoping the last game was a big wake up call to the players and Paul and we see the start of something new tonight.
Before Saturday, I had hoped for at least 2 wins and 2 draws from the following 4 games, 3 wins and a loss more than acceptable.  Well, we have our loss, so now I want to see 3 wins.
There simply has to be a reaction tonight, no nerves, no caution, just go for it and show us all why you were chosen to represent, or put on the shirt of Derby!!
Win games, play good football and us moaners can start moaning about the price of a pint again!
    Season starts tonight.......

Paul Warne tries to protect his players, you can see that in the interviews. I think they are low on confidence especially with the ball at our feet. We played our best football when McGoldrick came deep and started a move
I would play just 1 holding Midfielder and try and get them to own the position...
Playing bird, Fornah and Smith/ Hourihane is too much of the same type of player and in practice the midfield gets owned
I would play a diamond for a bit of pass and move

                           Wildsmith
       Nyambe  Nelson Cashin   Forsyth
                               Bird
             Wilson                    NML
                             Sibley
                    Waghorn   Barks

A bit of a change and get bird to dictate the passing play and give barks a go upfront as he looks dangerous and tell sibley to just enjoy himself
Edit: and if Joe Ward is fit i would play him over NML and I would steer away from crosses into the box and try and be more creative, we pass and never move!

Genuinely have no concerns about our ability to win this match and win it fairly easily.
In these 5 league games they've lost on the bounce they've scored 1 and conceded 12

Just read the Leigh Curtis opinion piece regards Saturday on Derbyshire Live……….OUCH!

Derby County anger grows louder as Paul Warne needs solutions and fast
Warne will know better than anybody that he needs solutions and fast if he to put a lid on the discontent as the top two start to drift out of view which is why there is understandable anger. To use Warne's words after the victory at Meadow Lane, Derby are failing and two points from games against Cambridge, Cheltenham and Shrewsbury is not good enough. But it does beg the question where do we go from here?
Ultimately, what happened at the weekend now goes one of two ways. It either becomes the point in the season that serves as inspiration or the same problems keep on occurring and those advocating change get their wish. The response on Tuesday night against Exeter City will tell us everything.

EFL & Sky Sports broadcast rights agreement
EFL clubs have agreed a record domestic rights deal with broadcaster Sky Sports worth £935m over a five-year period, starting in 2024/25
The new deal represents a 50% increase on the current rights value and will see significantly enhanced exposure for all EFL Clubs with an uplift in coverage across all divisions
The current domestic broadcast deal is effectively a share of Championship 70%, League One 18% and League Two 12%.
The uplifted element of the domestic broadcast deal is likely to be fed into the distribution calculation and be split between divisions on an 80% / 12% / 8% ratio.
Weighting is given to Championship clubs as primary drivers of rights values, with clubs agreeing the distribution formulas up to certain levels
According to the existing distribution formula, clubs in the Championship will be approximately 46% better off and 25% in League One and League Two respectively
From 24/25 it’s either a tv deal worth between £1/1.25 million in League 1 or a deal in the Championship worth around £8.7 million plus increased revenues, crowds and corporate opportunities, therefore the financial implications of not getting promoted this season are going to be huge!
There’s some big decisions for Clowes the businessman over the next few months.

This maybe true, I believe they have a good employer/employee relationship...but...Clowes has a commercial pilots licence where a mistake could cost lives, He's at the head of a very successful business where being lax with employees can cost you your business, So a strong character is needed.
But, This is football and not all Chairman bring their business acumen to a football club, 1st off he's given PW/staff a whopping 4 year contract, 2nd he was DCs choice...if he sacks him then it shows that he failed with his choice, 3rd the cost of dismissing all of those people would be a fortune...a fortune that would have to be found from somewhere 🤷‍♂️
As I said in an earlier post, If things get toxic at PP there could be a sacking or 2 or there could be a for sale sign in the car park, Once fans start to turn against you...and the togetherness that was there some 2 years ago will have been lost to history, Loyalty only lasts for so long.
His Radio Derby interview didn't go down to well on here by some, Him sending Wildsmith out to talk to Rams TV shows him not at his best and he'll be having a troubled couple of nights I bet, Cracks are appearing...Hourihanes confrontation with the fans wasn't a good advert for...we're all together.
DCFC need a very good response on Tuesday night...or things could get ugly 👍

Of all the directions we thought Wayne Rooney’s career may take after the end of his playing days, we perhaps didn’t expect this.
The eloquent and passionate spokesperson for a community worrying about its football club. A father figure for young footballers fearing for their livelihoods.
But this is Rooney in January 2022. As manager of Derby, Rooney carries responsibilities far heavier than anything he experienced during his years as centre forward and captain for Manchester United and England.
Derby is more than a football club,’ Rooney said.
‘It gives everybody in this city hope. It gives kids the right to dream. It gives young players opportunities. It’s incredible that it’s been left in this situation.
‘It needs to remain in the football pyramid. If not there will be a lot of hearts broken.’
He has already spoken to parents of his players about their mental health, asking them to look out for red flags. Local supporter groups, he revealed on Friday, have his phone number.
Rooney has paid for vital training ground equipment himself and has promised football staff made redundant over the last 12 months that, if brighter days do return, they will be the first ones back through the door.
In short, Rooney has vowed to carry the load of Derby’s troubles on his own shoulders and on the field at least there has been a revival.
So, there has been some brightness but trying to find a way through the gloom of impending extinction continues to represent the greatest challenge of Rooney’s career.
‘Yeh, I think it is,’ he said. ‘It’s been incredibly tough at times. It’s been emotional. I have seen staff lose jobs. I felt the right way to go about this was to try and burden myself and take pressure off staff and players.
‘I know they look to me for guidance and I try. The results and the efforts of the players and staff have been incredible. The players believe in me and I am more than capable of dealing with the stuff off the pitch.

The gesture of being very consoling to those that were going to lose their jobs at PP put him in a good light, A them and us situation had an effect for the 1000s that marched to PP when we played BCFC, Yes the word was WR had some influence when PC was elbowed out but not sure it was 100% down to him, As for his business deals WR doesn't come across as a person who's has a great deal of business acumen, He employs people to do that, They'll advise on what, Where, When and how he invests his money.
The £1.7million ish that was loaned to Kirchner by WRs agent was a catalyst I believe to WR walking away, Steven Pearce it was reported pleaded with WR to stay on, It was going to get messy if WR stayed with stories in the press, This I believe was the reason he left, Moving to the States looked a stab in the back for us, His ability as a manager in the States didn't look to good, But look behind the façade of WR and you'll find people who need him and he needs them, The Wayne Rooney name carries plenty of ££££s, I believe this will be a make or break situation for him, If he does well Everton maybe will come a calling, If he doesn't then there'll be a club somewhere that needs a high profile.
I like the fella, I dislike BCFC.

Exactly this. Entitlement has nothing to do with the reason I am critical of Paul Warne. I am a ST holder, I was at Cheltenham and I’ll be at Stevenage in a couple of weeks as well. I am invested in the club and want us to do well. I don’t boo or abuse Warne or the players;  never have, never will.
But I reserve the right to express my view on the style of football the team plays. I dislike it, it’s tedious, one dimensional and makes it really hard to enjoy watching my team. I don’t rate the manager and don’t think he will bring us success. I understand some fans would be happy to watch us grind out 1-0 wins all season if it got us promoted but i‘m not one of them. I want to be entertained and I think it’s possible to play good football at this level.
Ultimately you pay your money and takes your choice and so my position is that I’m entitled to air my view’s as long as I’m not being personally insulting or abusive about anyone. I do however agree that there are far too many  Warne in/out threads on the forum.
