Shame on Warne for daring to sound bit down immediately after dropping points due to conceding in injury time.

1) Last time I checked 3 points is just one win so, whilst any gap isn’t good, 3 points isn’t a huge gap.
2) “The team in 6th……..could have easily have walked away with a win if they could just about be bothered”. Are you suggested Portsmouth were not trying to win?
3) “The team in 6th…..could easily have have walked away with a win….” And they could easily have walked away with a defeat (albeit undeserved).
4) “Promotion this year is another dimension away” what does that even mean?
5) “We are dead in the water”. Seriously? We need to improve and improve pretty soon but to throw the towel in this early is crazy.
6) “We are 11th”. Well I can’t disagree with you there😀
I’m as disappointed as most and can’t really see any signs of improvement on the horizon at the moment but I do think you are being excessively negative. If we’re still 9th or below and/or more than 3 points adrift in say 4 or 5 games time then I’ll probably join your club of pessimists but until then, I’ll continue to hope improvements will come pretty damn soon.

Absolutely no chance of catching up those 3 points with only 39 more games to go.😂

I really don't understand it, were we supposed to clap because there are 15k dead so far, surely in this country a minutes silence would have been more respectful. Genuinely bemused

Wildsmith - nothing special
smith - obviously better when moved into midfield
Nelson - he is ok but he can’t pass the football
Cashin - did ok with one blunder
Forsyth - again probably our best defender
Hourahan - injured and left the party
Fornah - he’s done well to get a two year contract and lucky not to see red
Elder - selected to play left midfield so not his fault
NML - normally gets 60 mins apart from when in South America then we give him 70
Washington - I thought he did ok with Waghorn
Waghorn - as with Washington
subs Embleton - nothing to get excited about
Wilson - nothing much but not the best right back I have ever seen
Sibley - bright spark for me as he ran with the ball and passed it to Derby players
Barkhauzen - didn’t really get involved
Collins - nice penalty
our game plan was get the ball in behind where their full backs and run after it unless I missed something
we totally did not deserve to win which we nearly did - you would have hoped to try to get the ball into their half in the last 10 minutes after we scored the penalty
Again the referee was the best one we have seen this and last season.

As dreadful as that was, I'll offer some caveats.
We have a lot of people out with Hourihane now added to that.
Barkhuizen, Embleton, Wilson and Sibley aren't fit enough to start yet. NML has been halfway round the world, therefore our lack of creativity for the first hour wasn't a surprise.
I don't expect a dramatic improvement when more players are fit, but realistically you can only offer the final judgement on Warne this season until he has that opportunity.
I'm not a fan of this football and if it doesn't improve drastically over the next 4 games, I'm officially in the Warne Out camp.

I would imagine Morris was a force of nature and not easily advised. The only option open to Pearce was possibly to resign in protest. That perhaps is the only charge I would make against him, that he could have left and didn't.
All this, from both of us, is supposition however and I'm not going to condemn him based on that.

The only person really backing him is DC by keeping him on. DC must know a lot more about what actually went on before and during administration than the rest of us and presumably has seen enough qualities in SP to trust him at least for the time being. For all we know, DC might think Pearce is the right man to help take us forward or he might be thinking he needs to keep him on until the club really has stabilised and a suitable replacement can be found.

I think he said: it was in a strange way nearly his favourite game of the season (rather than performance but I’d have to watch it again to be sure) because despite playing away against a good team we could have come away with a point or even three if it hadn’t been for that pesky referee.

Have you ever watched a horse race, it’s not necessarily the horse that jumps the first fence that wins the race.

I was guilty of this. Will happily hold my hands up to this.
But there wasn't, at the time, much, if any evidence (that I can recall) to suggest the contrary. Other than spending silly fees on players - but that wasn't unique to Derby County.
There may not be all that much SP can say, with the NDAs. I know that's going to be dismissed as an easy excuse, but what can you do?

In the interview that David Clowes did with Radio Derby in the summer he said something like (and I’m paraphrasing) “Stephen Pearce is very good at his job and is being allowed to do his job”. I think that’s quite telling and also gives an insight as to how MM may have ran the club in a controlling way.

Who said we’re not looking like putting up a fight? Which relegated clubs have “big” points deductions?
Regarding the current top 10, you do realise that last season, after 6 games, Cambridge were 7th (even Accrington were just outside the top 10 at 11th) and Barnsley were 16th? So you can’t read too much into the league table at the moment. Stevenage may be top now but, if I was a betting man, I’d wager they will not be in the top 6 come the end of the season.
It’s not been a great start but there’s a long way to go.

In an ideal world you’re right but sadly managers have to focus on the here and now and what will keep them in their job. Warne won’t be remembered for the condition he left the academy in. A successful academy won’t protect him from the sack nor will a failing one cause him to lose his job. He’ll be remembered for how successful he is with the first team. He’ll also know how long he remains manager of Derby is almost entirely dependent on how successful the first team is. I know it’s a little cynical but I’m not sure how much your legacy counts. I’ve thought about this before when attending retirement events for senior people I’ve really respected. The feeling for a few weeks is “they did a great job whilst they were here” but sadly, they are soon almost forgotten as their replacement introduces their ways, imposes their personality and takes responsibility or praise for the failures and successes under their tenure.

But people aren't backing him.
Personally I'm backing David Clowes, who has taken a decision to keep him on, and he knows a lot more about the situation than all of us on here put together.
Surely it's even more strange that with, as you say, little to no information or context, people are condemning him.
