It's not even just that the football is bad, it's that we seem to score goals when we put the ball on the floor because that seems to be how the players want to play.
If the football was bad but winning games and picking up valuable points, I wouldn't be complaining. If this is "results-based" football, where are the results??

The upturn in form when Rooney was named manager was largely because he was no longer on the pitch. He was shambolic in his last few games for us.
On another note, I like Ryan Conway and will be interested to read his book. He however was close to a few players who will be his main sources, and perhaps didn’t have that relationship with others.
Be prepared for it to be the Duane Holmes & Chums Story is all I'm saying. When you read "Rooney had X attitude towards the players", just think about who "the players" really means and if that's the undiluted truth or not.

He'll be playing Tuesday night. Hopefully that will be a game where he can again show us what he can do.
I mean if he doesn't play Tuesday night, forget about him. He'll be out the door in January if he's not playing midweek. Pretty sure he will be playing though

Point 1 you've got Barkhuizen, NML, Sibley, Washington, Wilson, Ward, TJJ. And plenty of others who are pretty quick if the pass is good.
Point 2 is just rubbish for the reasons I've stated. If he doesn't like being booed off, he needs to provide good results. You can't have your cake and eat it. If you serve up boring football but win games, you won't face the wrath of the fanbase. It's not WWE, they're not trying to pop the crowd. It's a results game

He's just said on the radio two absolutely astounding things.
 
"We only have two or three players at the club with electric pace [...] who can play counter attacking football"
 
"If we played like that at Pride Park we'd get booed off at half time"
 
Why does he have to ruin every good moment he manages to create?
The players get clapped off the pitch at full time every single game at Pride Park. Half time, there would not have been booing if we had played that first half where we kept it tight and then created some good chances.
Why does he treat the fans of this club with such utter disdain and contempt every time he speaks?

Incidentally, we played that game exactly as it needed. Tight first half, earned a few chances. Had to ride the storm second half for the opening 10 and then we were forward thinking and got the game won.
Flawless, only missing the clean sheet which was unfortunate but not the worst thing in the world as long as you get the 3 points.
No grumbles from me reference performance

If we don't have the players to counter attack, why do we set up every week to counter attack?
Don't answer that, I shouldn't have asked it, I'm just going to enjoy the win instead. Up the rams.
