Bah ☹️ Just told my wife I was ordering it now and she said it would be a good Christmas present from one of my lads. To keep the peace I’ve gone along with it but wished I’d kept my trap shut and just ordered it myself.
Still, it’ll make ideal reading during the forthcoming lockdown. ?
Congrats @HuddersRam and hope it’s a huge seller. ?

Watkins hat trick. What could have been.
Any hatrick is decent in The Premiership but to get one against the league champions who’s defence is usually mean as fook is quite special, particularly when it’s your first season up there. Good on him ?

Re. The Wire. I know I am getting a bit deaf in my old age, and am currently too vain to want to buy/wear a hearing aid, but I am struggling at episode 6 series 1 to fully understand what is being said far too much of the time. Anyone else struggled with the African American dialects or is it just me, and I should go and get my ears sorted?
I now wear hearing aids ☹️ but I pretend to myself they are a kind of Men In Black/Jack Bauer type earpiece I get Planet saving messages on ?
It was a big deal for me because by getting them I was conceding I had slipped into old fart territory, not nice when you’ve always considered yourself to be the village’s equivalent to Keith Richard.
I wouldn’t be without them now BUT...I think the way audio is mixed by certain television programmes, I’ve been told it’s to cater for surround sound, whether that’s true ?♂️ Anyway, I was watching a Simon Reeve documentary on Australia the other night and I had trouble hearing the dialogue at certain points although no one had touched the volume but there was definitely a sound fluctuation.

Advertising execs who manage to convince Virgin Broadband it would be a good idea to have a load of children singing Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now for what seemed like an eternity.
And another thing, who wants to see ordinary people on television acting the goat showing us what a great time they are having during the lockdown. Do one. ?

You’re boy is LL Cool J ? Kudos. ?

I went for an interview to be his drum tech in 1979, could have done it but a combination of being only 20 and being nervous saw me being overlooked.
Spoke to a guy years after who worked for him and on their first meeting asked him how he likes his kit set up and Cobham just said “You set ‘em up, I’ll play them”

I have to go for simple dials because when I am not wearing my glasses, which I only do for reading really, I can’t see intricate dials.
I think it was revel who posted a nice skeletal watch a while back, well, if I was driving for example and glanced a my wrist to check the time, I’d never see it and that’s a shame because there are some beauties out there.
Accuracy and being able to take a knock are two things I like about my watches. Below are the kind of thing I like, the sports watch for work and the Tissot if I’m wearing a suit.

This is not a forum issue but I didn’t want to start a separate thread for it as I could be totally wrong about this and typing nonsense but here goes...
Does anyone remember a facility on the forum where you could see how many posts someone has contributed to a particular thread ?
I seem to remember @mozza using it once but it could be another one of my wackier dreams and there has never been anything of the kind.
Apologies for wasting your time if that is the case. ?

Don’t like the ram facing right as in Steve Sutton’s shirt. Don’t mean to be an arse mind, but it just doesn’t look right to me.

My initial thought was that’s a flash set up to play Aggaflippin’doo on.

My sister’s got a border terrier Squid, right little characters, sorry for your loss mate, the only negative in a lifetime of positives. He’ll always be in your thoughts, I dreamt about Remy my Old English Sheepdog about a fortnight ago, we lost him about 20 years ago. It was a nice dream, we were big buddies.
I tell myself I’ll meet up with all my dogs when I kick it, I know I’m kidding myself really but it brings me comfort when I’m grieving the loss of a much loved pal.
All the best at a lousy time mate. ?

Seeing David Baddiel described as a comedian. I find him about as funny as a tax bill.

Not an issue, more of a question really, how come after years of my name being first on my logged in/forum users list, it’s now showing in random places on that list.
Not an important issue, just wondering.

I think you’re supposed to have said to your 12 year old that in many ways you would much rather it was you, thus sparing both your pet and your son a miserable illness maxjam. ?
