As illuded to in interviews recently, players read these forums and other social media so always find it amazing the amount of abuse our own players get and in particular Lawrence.
The guy was miles better than Wilson yesterday and in previous matches but no one comes on her to praise him.
I would hold my hands to my ears if I had just read this forum and in particular this post. He is our player and Frank likes him so must be doing something right as he is pretty much first name on the team sheet.
can we start backing him and give the guy a break, some supposed DCFC fans do my head in.
    Rant over!

If the season ended now, who are your POTY and YPOTY?
For me, Keogh gets POTY, he's been consistent, led the team and by far and away the best of the older heads.
And it's Tomori who gets YPOTY, again, his consistency has been good and his positioning and reliability is improving all the time.
The likes of Wilson, Marriott, mount, haven't been consistently impactful for me.
And while I'm pleased to see Keogh doing well again, surely it's about time for someone else to step up?

To be fair to them, they've been in touch saying that wasn't their attention and put a tweet out to say as much.
It's a difficult balance between being "authentic" and working with dcfc, and hopefully they manage to get it right.
As for the bin liners(!) they are used across the world by fan groups and clubs because they're cheap and effective in creating large scale displays. Certainly much cheaper than the little printed flags the club buy.
As I've said before, I'm glad they're giving it a go and wish them the best of luck in achieving their aims, as long as they are for the good of the club and inclusive of all fans.

I expect to see a few low cost signings, lots of under 23s promoted and an honest team to get behind.
In terms of expectations, I think we may all have to re calibrate to mid table next year.

From Frank's interview, I'd say Marriott isn't out based on tactics at all.
He's out because he isn't applying himself as much as Nugent or Bennett in training or trying hard enough when he comes on.
On the face of it, that's an honourable stance to take, reward those who try hardest.
The problem is, Bennett and Nugent are basically the same player at different ends of their careers. One is young, quick but can't finish too well and is naive. The other is blunt, off the pace but wily and will run. They both apply themselves, are committed and give everything.
The problem is Marriott is significantly better than both in terms of finishing, technique, awareness and positioning.
In the position we're in, demanding more from him is fair enough, but he HAS to be on the bench at least. We need him back urgently.

Dim Sum Su and English Indian @ Bustler Market @TomBustler1884 for some great street food.
The Oakley Arms - Brewood, Staffs for some good Sunday evening pub grub. Great roast beef. Plenty of nice beers too.
The Oakfield at Chester Zoo - totally random place for a nice pub, lovely old building and good food if not slightly over priced. Plenty of vegetarian options for those that way inclined.
