My dad, who was a wood machinist in his early working life, made me a seat that slotted into the wall at head height in the old stand before they built the Ley Stand. Bloody Brian Clough bringing success soon buggered that up!

Haven't they got to play something stupid like 5 games in 10 or something like that? -

But surely you need to meet the short term goals to be able to meet the longer term ones? π€

Points Deduction, Who's Next And When Will It Stop?
richinspain replied to ram59's topic in Football Forum
I am 100% certain that had we not been in administration, had we not been being "run" by a group of men who knew nothing about actual football rules, had we not been threatened by a curly haired 𦨠and an πππΌββοΈwith claims for compensation that had no validity........, then we would have fought tooth and nail to be cleared of all points deductions and our good name restored. Well , that last phrase is possibly stretching it a bit. -

Why? NML although not playing at his best as a second striker (I'm not sure that playing there is the main reason) is doing ok and CBT is a very good straight swap. Barks is currently getting the nod as the substitute replacement, but he's on a very good run of form compared with earlier in the season. CBT when on song I believe is better than Barks. NML won't be playing for even, or even a 46 game season. I believe that CBT may actually thrive on being played more centrally, where with his power and pace will be able to go either side and have more room.

Let's Stick Together..... for the last 2 games.

And use the transporter from the Enterprise to get there π

Is that 2 or 3 trips, with return tickets? I'm paying Β£20 a month to watch the games over here in Spain. At a 5er I'd be better going over to watch a few games.

My next guess. Didn't know if he had played "soccer". -

So the players will suddenly put more effort in to avoid going down because they are being well paid? They appear to have put buggar all effort in up until now, and probably signed contracts that said nothing about a pay decrease if relegated. Tictoc was one of the highest paid players in the Prem last year if I remember correctly, it didn't seem to motivate him too much.

Nooooo, that would be terrible. Both @angieram in her usual desire to avoid the rush by leaving 5 minutes early, and @B4βs Sister in memory of her brother, will miss it! # be more b4 and angieram π₯·

Hopefully in the 50th minute against Orient. I wouldn't like to have to wait until the 89th minute against Carlisle!

And there was me thinking that it was because last year we were rubbish and that this year we aren't.

Hopefully the Rams can give you some feel good factor this month. Look after yourself. -
In 2007/8 didn't we have 3 different goal scorers? π₯·

I loved (don't tell @Archied π) the BBG, but if I'm honest I think that those that are too young to have savoured it would find it rather disappointing. Having 20000 (ok, slight exaggeration) crammed onto the Popside, everyone moving in unison (because if one person moved the whole bloody lot of us had to move), and I won't even mention the bogs (definitely the right name because they resembled a bog much more than a toilet). I think that as a one off experience they would love it, but having to go through that whole cow herd experience every week I don't think would appeal. God I miss the old place π. I miss the smell of the place, especially at night. Football for me has that smell, but of the few memories that I seem to have retained at my age I can still smell and taste the BBG. Football for me now is too sterile, especially with the "big" clubs demanding everything for themselves leaving not even scraps for the rest. Brian Clough would hate today's football, and nobody would have to shop him to the police because he'd be on the TV every day screaming it at the top of his voice.

I read that as pride park and the county ground. Christ, I thought, he's been going for more than 100 years and saw them at the county ground but never went to the BBG!
