Haha I doubt it has any bearing 😛
Before Monday the mods will have merged at least 5 "Cocu Out" thread variations, and at least three players will have their threads updated (or new threads created) with the post "should never wear the shirt again."

After the fun of the Lampard season, I dreaded who we might appoint. But Mel pulled off a major coup and I was elated when we appointed Cocu. We all were...well bar 3 out of 500(?), look back at the survey results.
The general consensus was that he was to be given time to build something sustainable and for the long term, utilizing the academy. Not least because we could not buy promotion like Wolves did and now Fulham are trying.
But, look what's happened, we've not played well against Stoke, made a couple of errors and so lost to a decent Bristol side and mayhem has ensued. The forum is in meltdown.
I understand the frustration. I'm getting old fer chrissekes. We all want to see Derby back in the top flight as soon as possible. But sheesh.
After a few poor appointments (Mac2, Clement, Pearson and Rowett - actually that's quite a lot), Mel has learnt the type of manager that can deliver the "Derby way".
But with a tight budget, it will take time. Mel knew that when he gave PC a 4 year contract.
Cocu is absolutely the right man.
He needs a couple of transfer windows to shift the rest of the deadwood and bring in players to plug the gaps that cannot be fulfilled by academy graduates.
This new batch of academy graduates looks the most promising - probably ever in terms of numbers. But they need time, they need to gain experience, they need a chance to iron out the inconsistencies all young players have and time to improve their decision making. It's not going to happen overnight.
Like it or not, this really has to be a "transition season".
Let Cocu mould the team. Let the academy players learn their trade and become deserved first teamers.
I'd guess L***s and Fulham will be promoted automatically this season, then there are a lot of teams vying for the playoffs. I'd be surprised if we're one of them.
So, let's instead enjoy the development happening in front of our eyes. Those of you lucky enough to go to the games, enjoy the fun of going to a football match.
The future for our club hasn't been this bright for a long time.
Cocu and Mel are building something special.
    Relax and believe.

I'm sorry to disagree but Lowe was very average on the right side 1st half, not really his fault, they all were.
On the left though, very good, should definitely play there instead of Malone.
3 at the back with Keogh on the right will have to do til  Bogle returns.
Keogh was excellent tonight i thought, Zoon needs to get that cross in earlier and better.
Waghorn and Marriott together worked well, Bielik was good as was Clarke.
Lawrence was good in patches as was Bennett.
Hudz and Dowell both a bit slow and ploddy.

There weren’t actually very many negatives - just a couple of big, frustrating ones. Namely that the goals were completely of our own doing and that we lacked in the final third.
Everything else was okay to good. Bar Malone, the defence didn’t put a foot wrong and distributed calmly and effectively. The midfield were there to receive it and made the right choices in the middle of the pitch - and that’s why we dominated possession.
Malone made two catastrophic errors which is why we lost, but he wouldn’t have made those errors if he had a winger close to him. Lack of width is a problem for us at the minute.
Waghorn wasn’t an outlet tonight and the wingers spent their evening doing convincing impressions of an out of form Gary Teale, but it’s not all doom and gloom.
I genuinely believe we’re on to something. Get the ball out wide, get Marriott and Holmes fit and be patient with Dowell and we’ll be competitive. Anyone coming back from tonight with a long list of things wrong is looking for trouble which isn’t there.

Well, if you were in East stand upper, row R seats 425/426 right behind me then please step forward so i can put you on my block list.
Moaned the whole 97 minutes and even ht.
I know you can say what you like when you pay your money but it was really depressing and negative, no encouragement whatsoever.
I cant be doing with that.

We really should have won today.
The trouble is that Bogle - a right back - was our most dangerous player and our bright spark and went off injured, and all of our chances fell to Waghorn and he had one of those days in front of goal where his composure completely deserted him.
Swansea were poor, unambitious and offered nothing. They were there for the taking. If they finish in the top 10, I’d be gobsmacked.
The thing is they dragged us down to their level. By and large, we also looked very ordinary and laboured except for a 10 minute spell in the first half. It reminded me of a Clement performance at times, if I am honest.
The positives to take from today are that Keogh and Clarke are forming a really solid partnership at the back, Bogle looks better and better with each passing game, and we still have a few players to come in and give us some oomph.
The midfield will surely be shaken up. Bielik and Holmes have to come in. A game like today was made for Duane Holmes. His tenacity, energy and direct running would have given us some much needed drive and intensity.
Lawrence, Jozefzoon, and particularly Paterson all failed to impose themselves on the game, but you expect it with that type of player. One game they can be brilliant, the next anonymous.
Dowell showed some neat turns and touches, but then would typically follow that up with something wasteful. I get the feeling he will prove to be a luxury we can’t really afford.
All in all, 4 points from 6 is a decent start especially when the best is yet to come from us. I am sure we will look a lot better come October/November, for example, when the players have fully absorbed Cocu’s philosophy. We have to be patient.
Stoke away will be another difficult game to negotiate. They will raise their game and get at us. Let’s hope we don’t go into our shells.
Cocu will surely learn a great deal in the next few weeks.
