I loved the Newsroom, but like you, the slapstick style of humour bits, didn't fit at all. 
It's a long time since I saw it, but from memory, a lot of that was in the first season. 
Either make it mostly like that, in which case I wouldn't have been watching it in the first place, or just leave that for some other show.

I'm so far behind, as usual. I watched the first one last night from 1996. Had thought of seeing the latest one, but having no idea what the films are actually about, I decided probably not a good idea to start at number 7. 
Didn't really enjoy it. A lot of people say don't bother with the second one. So, I either jump to 3. Or, jump to 5 and 6. Or just give up.
I think the Bourne films raised the bar for this sort of stuff, and the first MI looked very dated. 
Most notable thing was how young TC looks, and then realising this was 10 years after Top Gun. 🤔

I always thought M-111 was the worst. But those first 3 are of a really different era.
I definitely just watch the last 3 - Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation and Fallout which all get better as they go along.

If it's an automated scanner, just pass the phone back. Might look a bit dodgy but you've got a valid reason, and I bet it's a very common one at that.
Or, if there's a person with a handheld scanner, just tell them they're all on your phone.

With Apple Wallet you can send tickets to other people. I don't know however if Google wallet allows the same.

Sorry for spamming, but this is very exciting. By total coincidence, a launch that was supposed to happen earlier in the month but had to be rescheduled is happening tomorrow morning. We fly out of Orlando t9morrow, today is our last day of holidays, but providing it flies on time, we’ll just have enough time to see it before we have to leave the space coast. And our campsite is just across the lagoon from the launch site, you can literally see the VAB from where our RV is parked. I can’t believe our luck.
also, today I got to see the Saturn 5 rocket, touch actual moon rock, see the Atlantis shuttle, and a used falcon 9. As well as a whole bunch of other rockets in the rocket garden. I bloody loved it. Way better than Leicester.

Yes we had a pre sale code but no idea of the number of people that would have one, quite a few I would think. Got the tickets from gigs and tours website and only took 25 minutes.

As Leeds Ram said initially it will be positive for Ukraine as it will cause confusion in the Russian Army and weaken them, some elements may even desert.
However mid to long term, this will only be bad. Remember Putin allowed Wagner fill its ranks with a wide range of criminals from Russian prisons, these guys are now launching a coup. Wagner also has significant Nazi elements (quite the irony given the hand wringing on here regarding “Azov Nazi’s”)
Prigozhin has always been pro war against Ukraine, he just thinks it’s been completely mis-managed.
He’s in charge of a group that Putin used to commit war crimes and other atrocities in conflicts. Imagine what he will do if he is running the Russian army?
I can only see bad things if he manages to overthrow Putin. That’s not to say that Putin’s reign isn’t absolutely terrible.
Whilst Putin’s potential downfall is well deserved, what could replace him is absolutely disturbing!

In the short term, it's probably a good thing. It certainly ties Russia up and stretches an already largely depleted Russia. In the long run it's really impossible to judge at this point.

I thought the antics of Jose Mourinho on Wednesday night towards referee Anthony Taylor were an absolute disgrace, I would ban both him and Roma from European football for 5 years. I thought the antics by both teams were an all time low in football. 

Hopefully they'll be down next season, before the last game .
