This season isn't it? New fast-track system.

I believe it has to be decided before April this year and sanctions implemented, so as the Premier league does not end up with the EFL Derby/Wycombe/Boro situation and law suits flying around

Hearings must be completed by 5th April. Decision provided on the 12th, although clubs do get 7 days to appeal.

As someone who has probably bought two items in total from Amazon, what on earth is it that you're ordering so often, and why is it so important to have it delivered the next day?

I felt exactly the same, and only got around to watching it about two weeks ago. After the first episode, I was wondering how they'd manage to get 22 of the most annoying people you could imagine, all on the same show.
Didn't like episode one, but thought they'd probably wasted most of that explaining who they were, so gave episode 2 a go.
After that, loved it 😀, and its really not the sort of thing I like.
I like the way they tweak the rules as it goes on.
I couldn't care less about the silly tasks they do each day. If I watch the next series, I'll probably just fast forward all that!

    Re Slow Horses.
I've watched all 3 series. I like the idea of it, and I like the overall feel of it, but ... .. .
For me, it's totally ruined by the finale of each season. This descends into something that looks like a cross between a Bruce Willis film , or The A team. It's out of character with the rest of the show. The shoot out in the latest one, was so ridiculous, it didn't just ruin the last episode. They actually started that in the previous one !They must have run out of ideas or script.
I also think the story lines are ridiculous, and the acting is not great either. Apart from Oldman of course, who is brilliant. The only thing that makes it watchable for me. Even though , left to my own devices, I probably wouldn't have bothered after the first series ( Mrs likes it).
I'll watch series 4 no doubt. But pretty confident they'll ruin the end of that too.

I'm currently re watching this. I'm about half way through I think. I watched it when it was first broadcast, but no doubt missed some of the episodes. Really well made, and some great characters. Also probably the only show, that when I'm watching it, I never skip the opening credits!

Hello all. This thread has gone nearly a year since a post, which surprises me given how open we have been over the years.  Personally, I've been in a good place,  in a relationship for 14 months now,  got a dog at home,  just got a promotion at work, and building good relationships with family I only discovered in September 2022. All that said,  I've just lost a friend to cancer, got another friend going through recovery after cancer treatment and I'm definitely feeling sadness and woe that the gods saw fit to take B4 away from us.
This time of year is usually very lonely for me as I usually try and stay out of the way so as not to intrude or burden people.  This year will be different as I'm going to Becky's mum's for Christmas and will be with her family.
This isn't one to gloat, more one to remind people that the world moves on and situations change. Nothing is permanent,  especially sadness.
Hope you all have as wonderful a Christmas period as is possible, and if it isn't, that doesn't mean it won't be again x

I'm a reasonably diplomatic, boring, steady middle aged bloke.
I'm reasonably well educated and can write reasonably well so try to choose words on this forum that express an opinion that may be different to others, without deliberately causing offence. I certainly don't have 'poor writing' or 'poor vocabulary' as anything like an excuse if I were to cause offence.........but, without being patronising, I do understand not all so-called offensive posts are intended to be offensive.
However, it's apparent that I'm not alone in finding it tiresome that almost every single thread deteriorates into a game of point scoring, oneupmanship and, increasingly, forum archeology, in order to be unpleasant to one another.
There seems to be, in equal measure, deliberate attempts to cause offence and seek offence and it's just not great reading. I'm not in the slightest bit supportive of closing down debates or censoring differences of opinion but the number of personal spats with unpleasant language is getting beyond a joke.
I can't blame the mods because, individually, most of these posts fall below the threshold of complaint but, collectively, they make this forum so much worse than it could be.
I came to this forum for camaraderie when we nearly went under as a club - and it was a source of great comfort, information and humour.
It's got to the point where I'm considering signing off and and using the Telegraph and Radio Derby as my main non-matchday links - they have limitations but they are civil.
Any ideas what we can do?

As you said renamed, I had to look it up and see if it's where I thought it was.
I saw my first gig there, in 1973.
Slade, and The Sensational Alex Harvey band. Up until then, the loudest music I'd have heard would have been a school disco.
My ears were ringing for the next two days 😀

I'd guess somewhere between 500-1000 for test pilots. It has been designed to, ultimately, launch several times a day, so these numbers are not unreasonable. SpaceX plans to transition all its launches to Starship because it's so cheap and has hundreds of times more capacity per launch. This year SpaceX will have about 90 launches of its Falcon9 and plans to ratchet up next year.
But, an interesting element of your question is that Starship (the upper stage) is the Moon-landing system for America to go back to the Moon, officially in 2025 but it will be 2026 or 2027. For that mission, astronauts have to launch in the Orion capsule atop the $4bn Space Launch System (but which has an astronaut escape system if something goes wrong in the launch) and then, once orbiting the Moon, they will dock with Starship which will taken them down to the lunar surface. Then Starship will launch off the Moon, dock with the Orion capsule that will then take the astronauts back to Earth. So Humans will fly in it relatively soon, but they won't launch it it. Once it's proven safe, astronauts will simply fly straight to the Moon in it (refuelling in Earth orbit), cutting the cost of the flight by a factor of about a thousand.

How many times in a row, would this have to launch successfully, before you start thinking about putting a few people in it 🤔

Until the last week it has been a long time since I had been at a Derby Match. My Dad has said I’ve probably seen some of the best football so far this season. So, this thread is starting with genuine positivity from me, as my brother Daniel (B4) would also have done. This match means so much more to the Beavis family than any result. We want everyone to wave their scraves and flanges (not literally, ladies 🙈) and raise the roof for both DCFC and Daniel. Please share the details of the applause far and wide.
I’m reliably told I need to predict a 3-0 win to Derby.
My dad, Andy and I, will be in the east stand, stairway 35. We’ll be having a drink before the match and at halftime. Please do come and say hello.

When it pops elsewhere in the dyke basically - and that could be miles from where the current earthquake swarm is located. Magma tends to find the weakest point (a fault usually).
Alternatively, it could be a 'failed eruption' and the quakes just fade away to nothing, only to start elsewhere.
There are approximately 30 active volcanic systems (and between 130 and 150 volcanoes, active or inactive) in Iceland - the island was formed because it sits upon a volcanic 'hot spot' on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (the position where the North American and Eurasian plates are moving away from each other).
Until a couple of years ago, there had been no eruptions in Reykjanes for centuries - then Fagradalsfjall blew its nose. At the time, the Icelandic Met Office said that it could mark the start of many decades of unrest - and that unrest has already manifested itself in three minor eruptions, all in different spots in the area, over the last two years.
