5001 Rams fans, me and my boy are in the home end behind the goal, with a Barnsley supporting relative, should be fun

BriggRam reacted to Skin em Ted in Genuine question. Am I being a prude???
Hmm Yeah... I think she'd enjoy the atmosphere of a first team match though to be fair.
Don't get me wrong... I think 10, maybe even 8 or 9 upwards it all becomes much of a muchness and something for them to find amusing. I just think the family bit should be for the proper little 'uns... I'd prefer them to be meeting Rammie and Ewie, not Effin and Jeffin.

I agree - and whilst other comments to the contrary are fair... I think what we are really talking about (and where we can perhaps agree) is not the colourful chants or a justifiable 'FFS' cry of despair from time to time - but the grown man who thinks its ok to venomously froth at the mouth and chops off all match in front of 5-6 year olds in the family area. Personally I find that behaviour in the designated kids zone to be blisteringly ignorant, embarrassing and a wee bit pathetic.
I'm planning on taking my youngest to her first match very soon, I'd hope sitting in the family corner is somewhere I can guarantee she can avoid those gobby types and not be put off by them.

BriggRam reacted to Ferbatallon in Fer Battallon
Hi guys!! I just want to thank you for your welcoming in representation of all Galician Rams. We had such a nice and funny time.
Pride Park is even more impressive than we thought watching from TV, and the team was a 10 the other day. Also, every person that we met before, during and after the game was extremely nice, and we loved not only the team, but the city as well.
I'm sure that we'll be back as soon as we can. We had already been Derby fans for a few years, but after this experience we are Rams for life.
You people are world class. GO RAMS!!

BriggRam reacted to Steve Bloomer's Washing in Fer Battallon
We're getting Fernando on the podcast on Tuesday to hear in full how their first ever trip to Derby went.
The background is - they DMed me in December saying they were going to the Morecambe game, and asked about how/when to get tickets.
I kept in touch with them and advised them on a couple of pubs to drink in... and then tweeted about it yesterday. Didn't expect it to get the response it did!

Cashin has to start for me. I love Curtis but Cash has been immense and we’re better with him in the team.

BriggRam reacted to SSpurs1882 in Harvey White - signed on-loan for rest of the season
Hi lads, Spurs fan here!
I watch quite a lot of our u21 games so hopefully I can give a fair assessment of where he's at and what he might bring you.
He's a very versatile player, he mainly plays CM or DM but has filled in at LB (our u21s dont have a natural LB) a lot and played at LM. Conte even started him as a false 9 in place of Kane in our post-worldcup friendlies but before you get your hopes up he's not a natural striker! IMO like a lot of creative players his best role is possibly AM in a free role but he's not played there much recently because our u21 team has quite a lot of forwards to accommodate. He was loaned out to Pompey a couple of seasons ago and I believe the club have had loan offers for him pretty much every window since but they've been blocked by the club for various reason which has frustratingly stalled his development a bit. He's got great range of passing and not sure how many of them are on youtube but he's scored some unbelievable direct freekicks over the years in the youth teams. The youth coaches have said he's one of the smartest players they've coached and according to the Pompey manager when he was there he's very easy to coach, "You only have to tell him an instruction once. He's like a sponge and you'll tell him something once and then he'll be doing it. He's so easy to coach, a coach's dream."
Hopefully it all goes ahead and he does well for you and maybe he can go on loan again with you next season in the championship ?
