  1. Similarly with James Berry, he's destined for bigger & better things. The lad can play
  2. Revel Morrison is without a club. Worth a punt til the end of the season...
  3. There's nobody in our squad that would've been able to turn and shoot the way he did against Oxford.
  4. Let's not forget that he isn't a No 10, he's a main striker or wide forward. Until he has a good run of games in those positions we shouldn't be writing off just yet. The one change I was hoping Warne would make the other night was swapping him and NML. The praise he got at Ipswich shows he's capable at this level when fully fit.
  5. Got to say I'm quite fearful of playing them on Saturday. Jordan Love looks the real deal...
  6. I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make considering we have one of the oldest squads in the division. It's also good to see Rams fans fondness for writing off signings after the briefest of glimpses is alive and well 🙄
  7. I stand corrected on this point, I thought Hugill was further up when they broke
  8. If it ain’t broke, which at that point it wasn’t, why fix it?? What if Warne had made those changes and they still equalised, he’d be absolutely slated for going negative. I get the feeling with some fans he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t…
  9. Considering we were 2 goals to the good, and very rarely being threatened. What changes were people demanding??
  10. Exactly a couple, not 1 on 1. That's school boy basics...
  11. Seddon is about 10 stone wet through, there's no way he should be out muscling NML like he did. People can't pull Elder apart for his error and not appoint some blame for their first at Nat's door. It was sloppy.
  12. It's always those with knee jerk reactions that are the loudest. Up until the errors we were well in control and cruising. It's alright folk moaning about Warne not reacting to their changes, but it's not like they stuck 5 up front, they simply changed a couple of players (and maybe) told those coming on to be a bit more positive. It's not like they unlocked us with peak Barcelona tiki-taka either, they were gifted to them...
  13. Same as you guys, I thought he had a solid game up until his mistake. His cross for the 2nd was good and he put a good shift in considering it's his first league start for months. Unfortunately it looks like he's going to be the new whipping boy until Collins hasn't scored for a few games. I thought NML was equally as culpable for their first goal, letting Seddon muscle him off the ball instead of just giving it back to a defender was pretty crap play. It's also worth mentioning that Elder was left in the lurch by the rest of the team going absolutely gung-ho in the build up to the 2nd. I suspect everyone was a little too eager to get the 2 goal advantage back because there was no need for both our CBs to go marauding up field like they did...
  14. One piece of advice me & Mrs Ramsbottom found out too late was that you shouldn’t talk to the sprog during a night feed/nappy change as they think it’s play time, and won’t want to go back to sleep. Babies have to learn how to sleep properly and any stimulation won’t help matters, so don’t make a lot of eye contact, and keep your trap shut.
  15. I guess winning with 10 ain’t for everyone…
  16. So if you're reading this B4, stop with the soddin penalties already!!!
  17. Perhaps his Mrs has left him and he's suffering from the Lawrence Fox effect...
  18. Recruitment is key. Some of the best players we've had in the past 10 years cost us peanuts. Martin, Forsyth, Bryson, Davies, Morrison, Byrne, Bird, Cashin, Sibley, Knight were brought in, or developed for less that it cost us to buy Nick Blackman...
  19. I'm entirely for finding other investors to bring into club as long as - - They have the best interests of the club in mind - Still run the club in a sensible and sustainable way I for one wouldn't want to go back to Uncle Mel's way of ludicrous spending, but I'm not a fan of the supposed penny pinching either. I'd rather we had a middle ground where we use whatever funds we have wisely instead of spunking £4m + wages on the likes of Jacob 'Smiler' Butterfield
  20. Hi B4, it's good to see your soul can inhabit even our most cynical of users. Keep up the good posthumous work
  21. I really don't think Mr Clowes needs you to suggest this course of action to him. I'd hazard a guess it's been in his thoughts since he signed on the dotted line to become our owner...
  22. This is unbelievably sad news. As everyone else has echoed already, my thoughts are with his loved ones in such a tragic time. As much as I occasionally took the mick out the lad (his staunch defence of Callum Ball was never not funny), his unwavering passion & support for the club was inspirational
  23. I still find it hard to fathom that a good number of fans are actively having a pop at our owner. This is a man who did not want to get involved, but simply had to because he knew what the likely alternative was. It also pisses me off that folk think he should sell up at the earliest opportunity because he didn't spunk £3m on a striker in the summer. Only he, along with his accountants, truly know how bad it was when he started his due diligence, so he'll do whatever he can to ensure we don't get in that state again. If we're moaning at anyone, perhaps we should be moaning at the head of recruitment for not finding the wheat amongst the chaff, in the last transfer window. As for bringing in, and for the time being, sticking with Warne. If you had the choice between a novice manager or someone who has 3 promotions from this division, to get you out of it, who are 99% of people going to choose??
  24. Just shows that he's not one of these managers who actually gather information on their opponents, otherwise he'd know that if anyones going to be on the wrong end of a diabolical refereeing decision it's us... Fat, gobby Bamford!!!
  25. If we're having to reply of young strikers with potential isn't that what our own academy for? I think if we'd signed a pup on loan who'd only bagged, for the sake of argument 2 in 14, our fan base would be melting down quicker than it already is. How can you have the best squad overall if you don't have a good forward line??!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!!!???
